Talk to me about metallic Converse (or Superga?)

I like the look of some of the rose gold Converse I've seen around but when I google, the ones I find available to buy all look very metallic and shiny. Does anyone have them and what colour and the most subtle/neutral, or is that totally not the point of metallic Converse?!

I love my grey canvas Superga but the metallic ones look a bit weird. Are here any others I've missed?

I've got grey supergra and also the rose gold ones. I got the rose gold half price in the sale. I really like them, but I wear them far less often than the grey ones. They're kind of fun to wear on the odd occasion. Not sure I would have paid full price for them. They definitely aren't subtle/neutral.

My Boden ones were leather and slightly more subtle than converse/superga. But they're all pretty bright. (They have about three days of being a bit more muted, just before they look a total state and ready for the bin.)

I have some silver sparkle knit converse - I think they might be a bit more subtle. I love them.

I have the bronze Superga, theyre more subtle than the gold. Still prefer my grey ones though.

Thanks both! I love my canvas Superga but the style somehow doesn't seem to suit the metallic leather as much as the Converse. I think I'll try the All Star in silver or the gunmetal/black

Ooh thanksgiving Dino and Woman. I think bronze is more versatile than gold or silver but I can't find bronze Converse. I like the knits and sequins Dino but I think I need the durability of leather.

I've got silver Superga's and have worn them loads, I'm not normally a trainer / canvas shoe type person but bought them on a whim last summer. Very versatile and go with everything.

Silver supergas - I love them and will replace them when they give up the ghost. I think they go with loads of looks - I've worn them with jeans, dresses, leggings etc. And really comfortable - I wore them every day on a fortnight's multi-city break pounding the pavement and they were great. I got mine from eBay - half price.

I've got silver sort of snake converse (low tops) and pink sequin low tops too (Converse).

To be honest not worn them much!

I do have some pewter Zara trainers (metallic) and wear them far more.

I'd probably go for metallic Superga next time as to be honest I find them more comfy than converse!

On a different topic got some navy and gold NBs in office sale, these are more wearable for me as you get the bling factor but the navy is wearable.

I've just bought the grey leather snake print superga- they were reduced in my Very catalogue but full price still on Superga website. They are really nice! I've also got black leather ones.
I find Converse too flat and narrow.

Ooh Ming I ordered the grey snakeskin hi-tops off Amazon a while ago but sent them back - the pattern was lovely but the shoes hemselves made me look very weird! I have yet to find a pair of hi-tops that flatter 🙄

I've ordered some Supergas in silver and some in a darker metallic grey, and some silver Converse to try. How did anyone get any shopping down before free returns?!

Laquila would be interested to see them when they arrive and which one you keep. I've been looking for a pair recently too.

Right then. I've now received metallic grey Supergas, silver Converse All Star Ox and silver Supergas. I don't seem to have ordered the metallic herb Converse yet...I think I got confused!

I'm attaching a couple of photos of the grey Supergas and the silver Comverse. The former are a lovely colour but I just think the Converse look better on, despite the lighter, brighter colour. (The silver Superg are too light a colour for me.) I'm surprised at how comfy the Converse feel - pretty much as cushioned as the Supergas. I might order the Converse in metallic herb just to compare. I've gone for a 7/40 in the Converse - does anyone know if they do a 6.5/39.5? I can't find them so far but the 7 are a tiny bit too big so thinking I might compare, as they do give my feet a somewhat barge-like air (albeit a lovely shiny barge...)

I like the ones without the white rubbery bit at the top best. Not sure which ones they are!

The toecap ones are the Converse, so you are clearly a Supergas girl. I like that fact that you took the time to comment on this, despite your username!

Ive got the gold Superga, they are fairly comfy - I got mine in the La Redoute 40% off sale. I love a gold trainer
