I've been reading the M&S thread where many comments praise Sainsbo's.
If you buy clothes there, what do you buy or recommend?

They have lots of nice clothes - stuff is but for work and change every season. Not the best quality, but better than the Primarks etc.

I have a few nice work dresses from TU.

ZaZathecat · 31/01/2017 18:06

I've got their black denim jeggings and love them.

WowOoo · 31/01/2017 18:06

I think the vests and plain t-shirts are great value. I was just putting away a t-shirt and thinking it still looks brand new. It's nice and long too.

I've got some decent knickers and bras from there also. One bra was £3 in the sale and is so comfy.

BIWI · 31/01/2017 18:07

I buy quite a lot of stuff from there - the quality is really good. Things wash and wear really well. And their prices are really good too.

Notjustuser1458393875 · 31/01/2017 18:08

Kids clothes. Some really long lasting fun stuff.

LoveMyLittleSuperhero · 31/01/2017 18:11

I've got quite a lot of tops from there guys sections for my dp which we love. The linen shirts they release every summer are wonderful, easy to wash, beautiful quality, last ages and very reasonably priced. Usually the ladies stuff is a bit short for me (I'm over 6ft tall) but they really come into their own on the baby stuff. Amazing prices, beautiful quality, often have some really pretty stuff in and it lasts and washes so well. If they did longer ladies stuff I'd buy all my clothes there.

Bejazzled · 31/01/2017 18:12

That's interesting, thanks. It's office trousers (M&S are rank) and good tops and t shirts that I'm on the look out for.

Also got this summer dress there a year or two ago. It's 100 cotton, lined, and was dirt cheap.

They do 25% of clothes fairly often too. Have a few bits of woman's clothes from tu and buy a lot of my daughter clothes

littlepooch · 31/01/2017 18:16

The baby/kids stuff is great. Lovely designs, wash really well and reasonably priced.

I bought a couple of jumpers and leggings this winter from there and they have washed so well and look great! Ditto their pjs and slippers. And their gym kit isn't half bad either

chanie44 · 31/01/2017 18:17

I buy my children's school small (vest, knickers, pants and socks) when they do their 25% off events. Primark prices, but Betty quality.

Their jeggings somehow stay up even with my flappy fat belly. I don't know how, tbh, but they do. For this alone I love them.

Laiste · 31/01/2017 18:39

I love their bag, shoes, accessory combos. Very 'put together' looking. I like the way they seem to have a whole colour story (cringy phrase but can't think of another) right through from bag, shoes, dress, skirt, coat and top.

OutandIn · 31/01/2017 18:42

The bras and nightwear is good too.

Sativa · 31/01/2017 18:44

The £10 leggings are the best out there. Also do some nice tops Smile

Collymollypuff · 31/01/2017 18:46

They've got a lot of pleated skirts in various colours - very easy to wear. I just bought this one:

If it wasn't for Sainsbury's, I wouldn't have any work clothes. Grin

Their footwear is worth a look as well.

wtffgs · 31/01/2017 18:52

Their leggings are excellent.

However, they have a horrid fascination with the colour mustard, a fondness for putting animals on knitwear and various floral nightmares. Any of the above constitute crimes against womankind! Grin I do go in regularly in the vain hope that they'll have got a new range!

taytotayto111 · 31/01/2017 19:05

I love their leggings they last forever. I recently needed tummy surgery so needed big knickers. I refused to pay £10 for a 5 pack in M&S so thought I'd try sainsburys. Well my god they are just AMAZING. Got a 5 pack for £6 and the quality is outstanding, comfy and wash amazing. I thought I hated big knickers but omg I don't want to go back to my M&S thing knickers now. I'm going to try other styles and also bras.

Daisiesandgerberas · 31/01/2017 19:07

Another fan here for myself & DD.

Can't go wrong with TU.

My 'go to' place.

fancyferret · 31/01/2017 19:17

Agree also - lovely baby &children's clothes -wash and wear well, better quality than other supermarket/highstreet brands I have tried. I usually load up basket on line then wait for 25% off promotion. I get a fair few things for myself too - skinny jeans are good, I have the sculpting ones which were better than my uniqlo ones which have gone saggy. I would say tops perhaps come up a little large but again wash well and generally outlive items I have bought elsewhere.

Hoppinggreen · 31/01/2017 19:20

I like their jeans

OneOfTheGrundys · 31/01/2017 19:25

I've just bought a denim mini pinafore that I love. Leggings are great and nightwear too.

I've found their boys stuff has had a lot of plastic tat design on it. Maybe that's just my local tho.

Cocolepew · 31/01/2017 19:26

Bras and knickers are excellent, very comfy.
The thick leggings and slippers.
