I think that looks very suitable, MI.....

MontserratCaballe · 07/01/2017 16:06

Hello mes crepey amies. Sorry for radio silence. Been a busy old week here but DH out, DD1 has a friend over and the other two are playing sylvanian families so I have a bit of peace.

Crem, I am so sorry to read your news. Sorry to hear of your illness too - I suspect you may not be able to rest up now as much as you might. Thinking of you Flowers

Herbs, how is DP doing (apart from hungover)? And what news of the cat?

MI, loving reading of your jaunts. Looks amazing.

BTM, how is DS today? And how are you feeling? Put on your own mask etc and do remember to shout if we can help in any way, even if it is a quick one on L Lane.

Beachy, sorry you are left holding the fort whilst everyone else skis. Can you get a trip away planned (with or without the family)?

CV, your birthday plans sound ace.

Rose, holding your hand re birthday celebrations. DH is useless without loads of direction and a very prescriptive list. I am going to have a massive do when I am 50 and organise it all myself, as I know he would cock it up. He is very generous and gregarious (when it suits) but organised / imaginative he ain't. Before Christmas I successfully Ebayed 3 of the hideous presents he had bought me when he went off list and that felt much better. It's not really about the gifts - more things like "I didn't get the kids to make you / write you cards as I didn't get round to it". Just bollocks.

NU, sorry to hear your recovery has been so slow. Glad to hear that DH is stepping up though.

Molly, so sorry to hear about your health worry - keeping everything crossed for you Flowers.

Hatty, hope the DDs got off to Blighty OK.

WAF, so sorry to read of your HH problems. Sounds very miserable. How is DH doing today? And Addle, how is your DH at the moment?

BD, sorry you are low. My dear old dad had terrible problems with SAD and found the lightbox helped enormously. Thinking of you.

Cocoa, welcome home. How is your DH behaving now you are back?

MrsS, I hope you have rested appropriately today Flowers

Auriga, how are you doing?

I am being nagged to make a cake now, so I had better fly. Hello to everyone else, huge hugs to all who need and take it easy XXX

Collymollypuff · 07/01/2017 16:15

Wow, that was a great post, Monty. Smile Thanks to all lovely Crepeys for your support, it really makes a difference.

Collymollypuff · 07/01/2017 16:16

And everything Monty said. Wink Except that I am not being nagged to make a cake. Grin

Cremolafoam · 07/01/2017 16:51

Hello crepes, just jumping on to escape the hideousness that is going through fil's paperwork with dsil. All a bit grisly and saddening.
Am so sorry for a very conflicted dh whose relationship with his late father was so complicated. He is being amazingly practical and pragmatic.
The rest will come later.
I am still wheezing but hanging in there.

Hatty, yes to 25th March Smile

CointreauVersial · 07/01/2017 17:21

Which of you was after Vancouver tips?

wordassociationfootball · 07/01/2017 17:23

I must put 25th in the diary.

Could someone who isn't me corrall (sp?) us into a good date for Feb 50 cocktails? Sorting people/dates is my Room 101, and of course you must make it a Crepey hat trick Mrs W.

I can't do Thursdays.

wordassociationfootball · 07/01/2017 17:26

How would Fri 24th be?

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/01/2017 17:27

MI - you could lose Mr Inferior among those weeds... Grin

Make that four way cocktails, I'm early Feb too.

Temp seems to have settled at 38.5 and not going up or coming down further even with paracetamol. Which is still a bit high, especially for me as mine usually hovers just above 36. I have just got up and had a shower but can't really say I've had proper rest as people keep coming in and asking stupid questions. "Do we have 12 of these silver balls? I can only find 10." "The cat has no food." "Where are the scissors?" "What temperature do I wash pants on?" "Have you seen my socks?" "Should we keep these fairy lights?"

Hang in there Crem xxx

hattymattie · 07/01/2017 17:51

Crem, Mrs S and Molly - you are very heroic with your fevers - I can do nothing but sit and moan and feel sorry for myself when I'm like that.

Thanks for confirming date in the midst of all this Crem - I have a special offer on Eurostar so need to get onto it. (although whenever I want to travel the promo's don't seem to be available);

A big hello to Monty.(waves across the Channel). The girls have made it back OK. DD1 I don't worry about but I always think DD2 is going to disappear into the black hole that is Gare du Nord or during her change over at KX - she is so dippy dappy.

NU - that sounds dreadful that you are in so much pain - I hope the new meds are kicking in.

CointreauVersial · 07/01/2017 18:36

WAF - Friday 24th Feb works for me for a crepey birthday cocktail.

MrsW? Not a milestone for you too, is it?

MontserratCaballe · 07/01/2017 18:48

Would the birthday girls like to go out for dinner? I missed Christmas as unwell but Cote went down well with the crepes and I bet they have some low season bargain menus. Just a thought.

CointreauVersial · 07/01/2017 18:59

This birthday girl could certainly be persuaded to have dinner!

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/01/2017 19:14

Do I look like I ever refuse food? GrinGrinGrin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 07/01/2017 19:21

Did someone say dinner? Grin
The meal we had in Cote before was v good - and v good value too.
Count me in... It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago - can I be a birthday girl too?

herbaceous · 07/01/2017 19:41

Dinner? Count me in. I have currently zero (0, nil, zilch) social events in the whole month.

Stropperella · 07/01/2017 19:50

Oh bums, I want to come to birthday cocktails as well, seeing as my B-day is late Jan. Well, as late Jan as it gets, in fact. However, I am at uni all day in Bath that day, which complicates matters unduly. Bums again.
Have done my first day of me master's module today. I have been hyper-anxious about it all Christmas. I am the only person on the course who has joined at this stage and all the rest of them were doing a teaching module together last year. However, during the course of the day I ascertained that I'm the only one working in a special unit and actually doing the job they're all training for. The only downside was that I didn't learn anything today at all, because it was all stonkingly obvious stuff that I do all day, every day in my work. So my belief that I would be the least well-informed and the most useless was completely wrong. Wish I hadn't spent the last 10 nights lying awake, sweating and twitching about my cretinous uselessness. Bah.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 07/01/2017 19:57

Brilliant Stropps - you are amazing - we all know that... but you seem to forget. X

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 07/01/2017 19:59

Aaarrrgg, can't do the March date as I'm taking the young one to Rome, but would love the Friday in February.... it's our half term, not sure about the rest of the country...

Revising boy currently building bonfires with his best mate in the garden. Oh well Confused

Hope you feel better soon, Mrs S. Shut the door, tell them all to f**k off, take huge amounts of drugs and sweat it out Grin

I must admit, as soon as December 21st passes, my mood lifts. I look forward to the longer evenings, the days when you can leave the back door open all day, sowing seeds, clearing stuff out and chucking it. We've made a good start by chopping down the huge hedge at the back of our garden, it's still living, but it's gone back to 'skeleton'. The space regained and the increased light is amazing!

Collymollypuff · 07/01/2017 20:02

And the bulbs showing, Beachy. And we have snowdrops in bud. I do absolutely agree.

Stropperella · 07/01/2017 20:15

And dh bought me flowers for completing me first day. Aww. I will now nearly forgive him for suggesting at about 3am yesterday that a shag was the answer to all my problems. (although in all honesty, he was not far wrong Grin )

MrsWobble3 · 07/01/2017 20:21

CV, not a milestone for me - at least no more than any birthday is. But given I didn't have my 40th birthday party until I was 43 I don't see any problem in celebrating 50 when I'm 52.

Stropperella · 07/01/2017 20:23

Damn, MrsW, MrsS and I are nearly triplets!!!

herbaceous · 07/01/2017 20:57

I LOVE YOU STROPPS.

💋❤️
