Frizzy hair issues

What is the best thing to stop frizzy hair? Tried all the lotions & potions out there but they don't seem to stop the hairs on the top of my head going mad even & doing their own thing.
Also, best way to get heathy shiny hair on frizzy/wave hair?

Today my hair looked like it actually belonged to me! A slight fluff on the front occupied by early afternoon but other than that it was fine Smile
The conditioners I ordered haven't arrived yet so I'm still using the dove stuff and the boots pink curl gloop, using much less of it and it seems ok. Co washed again tonight and it looked a bit better again so fingers crossed I'm on to a winner Grin

woowoo your hair is looking gorgeous!! I'd say you could slap some more conditioner on or add a little more leave in. I bought some Shea Moisturising products recently which I absolutely love and one of which was a mask and it's really done my hair the world of good. I have also made my own flax seed gel today! Apparently it's very similar to Knot Today that timshort mentions. I got good results, not oily at all and gives great hold. Dead easy to make.
Loving this thread btw! Grin

I did cg for the second time last night. Here's a photo. It's curlier than usual, feels sticky though and still a bit frizzy on one side.

I used Body shop Rainforest conditioner to co-wash and Tressemme botanique to condition. I used Alberto Balsam strong hold gel and Nakd Curl creme.

I think I rinsed too much at the end.

Bark- you look great!!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/01/2017 22:12

I don't agree and I'm not just saying that. When it's straight it looks a bit non descript, now it's curly you notice what beautiful hair your have. Much prefer it curly !

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/01/2017 22:31

How does it look with an off centre parting?

I bought this shampoo in the sales at Christmas. It's Klorane mango butter, my hair is very fine and has been dry/frizzy. It's been brilliant and my hair which is wavy but never stays in past drying, is gorgeous.

Evening! To those asking upthread about the boots curl creme - it is amazing..... BUT only on absolutely soaking wet hair. I cowash, then squeeze some of the wet from my hair using a cotton t-shirt, then rub a 50p sized glob of the creme over my hands, and comb it through my hair using my fingers. Then I twist the wet curls into spirals to set them (inch thick pieces of hair, twisting them away from my face), and leave it to dry on its own. Perfect curls every time!

I think it works best if you don't put the creme directly on your hair - I rub the glob of creme on my hands first so that none of my hair gets too big a blob of it, then I put it on my hair. Will try and take a photo tomorrow if I remember!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/01/2017 23:20

Woo- yes seriously, looks much better curly! Yes it can be trained ,just keep parting it off centre and it'll fall that way eventually.

TricksyLiesmith · 07/01/2017 11:12

I've just started CG too after lurking on the FB group for a while . Did my final wash with fairy liquid and used the Tesco pro v conditioner . I think I'm low porosity so not going to use a leave in . I've used boots curl crime for years and love it but it's not strictly CG approved so going to try the cantu curl activator which seems to be really popular .

My hair is type 2c but I'm hoping it will go to 3a with CG .

My DH just rolls his eyes when I start talking about all this !
