I love them, saw them in Schuh earlier and almost bought them. Zip up side. I'm a size 8 to 10 and wear lots of make up and stuff if that helps?

Are these nice boots?

They're a bit Victorian prostitute, but I mean that in a good way. I swear Nancy in Oliver! wore boots like that. But I do like them. Obviously you'd have to swish your skirt and sing Oompahpah every time you wore them but that'd be fine.

SouthWestmom · 02/12/2016 21:39

Hahaha! I love that! Didn't occur to me, but now you say it...

idontlikealdi · 02/12/2016 21:47

No - they look a bit like something a Eternal would have worn with combats.

But if you like them, go for it!

SouthWestmom · 02/12/2016 22:29

Okay so it's just me then? Silver lining they are probably in stock

Grin Hassled

I really like them op, I would wear them. Smile

OlennasWimple · 03/12/2016 01:30

"Pretty little Sally, goes walking down the alley...."

KickAssAngel · 03/12/2016 03:00

I was going to say that the leather looks a bit cheap, then I saw the price!

Oh well, if you can afford it, get them. I'd wear them over leggings/jeans, or with tights and a skirt. But they're def. for Nancy off Oliver!

EnidButton · 03/12/2016 03:11

I really like them. I had some very similar to them as a teen so yes they do have a slight 90's vibe about them but a lot of stuff does atm.

Kick ass Victorian boots.

EnidButton · 03/12/2016 03:13

Actually I really like them and thinking about it I had another similar pair just a few years ago. They were dark brown and very Victorian prostitute. A vicar complimented me on them.

Spring2016 · 03/12/2016 03:16

"Displays her pretty ankles for all of the..." Wait, ankles covered, non hooker boots.
I think they are good boots for casual wear. I like em.

HighDataUsage · 03/12/2016 03:26

Wait for the sales unless you're buying them for Christmas but yes they are very Nancy .

Spring2016 · 03/12/2016 03:26

PS. Timberland are decent, ds bought a pair last winter and likes them.

dylsmimi · 03/12/2016 03:28

I really like them too - I think j would need some flat ones though. I'd say get them
Your "I wear make up and stuff" comment made me Grin

SouthWestmom · 03/12/2016 11:37

I wanted to qualify that I was not a lost cause ...

Ok I'm getting Victorian hooker vibes from you all and I have to say everyone was right when I disobeyed Style and Beauty and bought a dress with a cape.

BadToTheBone · 03/12/2016 12:19

I had some very similar back in the early 90's, lol. I loved them but they were so annoying I stopped wearing them.... they had no zip and I had to lace them up every time!!!!

Ohwhatbliss · 03/12/2016 12:26

Nice is subjective but to me, no, they're awful. Really 90s

Indecisivejo · 03/12/2016 12:40

I love em but my other half tells me I have awful taste in boots ha ha.

BusterGonad · 03/12/2016 13:35

They do remind me of Victorian hooker boots but it's very hard to say if they are nice or not without knowing your style tbh. Things can look great or awful until you have the full picture. I'd say if you are asking if they are nice to us MNetters than maybe a part of you isn't too sure!

BusterGonad · 03/12/2016 13:35

By the way, I actually think they are quite nice Grin

Randytortoise · 03/12/2016 13:38

I've got them but with a wedge heel. They're really nice.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 03/12/2016 13:40

I think the style is gorgeous, but the price obscene.

ymmv · 03/12/2016 13:41

What's wrong with Victorian hooker boots?

absolutelynotfabulous · 03/12/2016 13:44

I like them. I love laced boots. I've got a pair similar to that from, of all places, M and S but they're much more Dominatrix and come up to my rather fat knees.

Victorian Gothick does seem to be a thing atm.

WellErrr · 03/12/2016 13:46

I think they're really, really horrible, and I can't think of a single place they could be worn.

Sorry Blush

WellErrr · 03/12/2016 13:47

Oh no, I'm wrong - steampunk fetish fair. That's where you could wear them Grin
