... Have you found jeans that fit you? I mean really really actually fit you, not ones that squeeze your bum flat, or squish your hip flesh in awkwardly, or worse still, fit your bottom half fine but you get that dreaded huge gap at your back above the bum. Sad

I have never ever owned a pair of jeans that fit like a proverbial glove. Ever.

There must be one pair out there for me surely??

It's a pity that the nearest m&s to me closed down earlier this year. I need to travel to the city centre to get to the nearest branch. Bloody pain. Yours is the 3rd hands up for the 5 pocket, Loinir so I reckon that's enough for me to search them out when I get the opportunity. So thanks for that.

Oh Chad glad you're back. What the hell? Why on earth have they sized like that, that's ridiculous. I'm too fat for a 10, not quite a 14 (yet!). Arseholes. So you like them then. Do you remove labels straight away or leave them on and test the 'sit' of a pair on you. Most times I think somethings ok initially but once I've loaded the dish washer /up and down stairs /school run/sit on floor nappy changing / etc, I see the jeans for what they are. Rubbish.

It's been a couple of weeks since I last looked for the wonder fits, hopefully they'll be restocked. rubs hands first thing though, I want to try the peacocks jeans as I have a branch local plus they're cheap! Failing that, then Dorothy P. Failing that erm... I may do what jessie suggested.

Dh said today that he'll take me to the city centre so I can try on jeans. I windged to him about the Bolds but he's wise to it. Years ago in the first stages of our relationship he took me shopping for clothes. I remember plodding from one shop to the next in the hunt for a decent pair. It took forever. Bless him, he was more enthusiastic about the whole thing than me, telling me one more shop, they must have something in here for you (they didn't!) anyway, I found one pair in fcuk. They were alright. The last of many pairs tried on. By that point I had enough. Not perfect but they were the best of the worst. I still have them! My souvenir. I'm too fat for them now. Sad And my shape is different after kids. I should probably Zumba but I'm too inconsistent to keep it up if I'm being honest.

Flabby, untoned and pear. I may as well give up now. No sexy bum hugging hip kissing denim for me Sad

Ha, I take the labels off straightaway, sounds like I should do it your way. I agree the sizing is crap, these are a bit wrinkly on me, but there was no way I was getting into a 10! Good luck with your hunt...

imjessie · 12/12/2016 09:04

Me again! I've got these on today which I've had a while and thy are fab m.newlook.com/shop/womens/tall/tall-black-zip-pocket-skinny-jeans_388014001?productFind=search

NeedATrim · 14/12/2016 17:56

Oh they look good. Looking at those pics I'm imaging me starting a convention (is that the right word.. Dunno) where for every lithe straight up and down model photo, they must include photos of models who look more wholesome Grin, then for me at least, I can better gauge how something could fit on a shape like mine.
Hurmph. I haven't been to the clothes shops yet. Dh said he'll take me to the center and that way I can have the changing rooms sans baby and take my time but he's recently had lots of work crop up (self employed) so now either i wait for him or go without him. Bugger bugger bugger.

I have a similar body shape and recently found Ralph Lauren jeans to be a great fit. after years of wearing poor fitting jeans, I'd highly recommend them.

NeedATrim · 14/12/2016 18:36

Ooh really.. Are all the jeans in the RL range shaped generously in the bum area or just particular type/modals within the range? Where did you buy yours from then and which are they?

imjessie · 14/12/2016 18:41

Waves ! I have some Ralph Lauren jeans too that I love . They fit well if a little low on the waist

GoodGirlsGuide · 14/12/2016 18:44

Hi OP - sorry I haven't had time to read the whole thread so this brand may have already been mentioned. I'm a curvy size 12/14 and have had lots of compliments on my well fitting skinny jeans; they are by Michael Kors and ordered from the Outnet. Usually about £90 but well worth it and fit my curves fabulously.

NeedATrim · 14/12/2016 19:07

No you're alright, GoodGirls, no one's mentioned Kors jeans (i didn't even know he does clothes as well). Interesting.

I used to wear levi's demi curves, but can't get them anymore. I got some levi's 314s instead and they fit nicely, there is no gap at the waist. They're also "shaping" so pull everything up and in, but in a comfortable way, not in a I can't wait to get home to be able to breathe again way Smile

LaPharisienne · 15/12/2016 16:00

I'm 27", 38" and 6ft - I've found Hudson straight leg/ mid rise, Levi's Demi curve, 7FAM, CoH and some diesel work.

Levi's are the firmest and most traditional feeling jeans ... the others are all much stretchier/ thinner fabric (with the exception of some diesel). Word of warning: make sure you buy stretchier designer jeans in the smallest size you can possibly wriggle into or you'll find after a couple of hours they're too big.

NeedATrim · 16/12/2016 13:03

I'm back again. Just checking in (cause I'm bored Grin)

Anyway Gap have a sale on jeans and I've a code for extra 20% off in giving them a go. Okey dokey, i will only buy high waist and I must not be tempted to buy something different just because the jeans look good on the model. I mean well durr, of course they look good. Thats the models job. To tempt me into a false sense of sizing where I think, yeah I could totally pull that off.

I bought another pair of Levis on ebay. A different size. No flipping good surprise surprise. So I have to send those back later today

I also looked at buying the m&s 5 pocket jeggings. One thing put me off was that on the ms website nearly every review was positive until more recent ones. These say since ms changed the design they aren't anywhere near as good as before. So thats put me off tbh. The ones on ebay are the newer versions I think.

Pfft. I looked at the raw chicken in the kitchen earlier. It actually crossed my mind to take a good long lick of it so I contract food poisoning and ta da! Skinny minny me. (OBVIOUSLY a joke... or is it...)

Me again! I'm currently on holiday in the States and have found the holy grail! True Religion curvy skinny jeans. Fit like an absolute glove. They were on special offer so bought two pairs without even blinking Grin. I know TR are expensive in the UK, but I would hope you could get some on eBay. Anyway, thought I would share - hope you manage to find something that suits.

NeedATrim · 20/12/2016 15:35

Cooo-eee. I'm so flipping Envy at your holiday. Are you still there, where have you gone to? I don't blame you nabbing two pairs, I mean we're in the same boat and well fitting bottoms are like hens teeth for us fat arses.

I could cry. No Frankie jeans in my local Dorothy P. I click and collected Wonderfit and wonderform skinnies from. Asda. I had the same dilemma, either 10/12 or 14/16. I scoured the reviews which convinced me to buy the former given my apparent size and because they are sooo stretchy...! My top half looked like lumpy sausage meat so those wonderfits went back in favour of the larger size. I tried them on last night and the waist band is too loose. They keep slipping down. They are so loose that a belt is a must and it'd need to be belted tightly just to keep them snug around my navel. I dont want that though. Arrrrggh. Sad

Just keep looking.

I can never find trousers or jeans to fit my athletic thighs, unless I want them falling off my non - existent hips.

All my work trousers are safety pinned at the waist to keep them up. Any smaller and I can't get them over my thighs.

NeedATrim · 20/12/2016 15:45

Grin you reminded me of me as a young sprite pre puberty - i was stick thin, bizarrely. So tin ribby that I wore braces clipped to my leggings just to keep them up. Oh yes, I looked truly ridiculous funky.
