... Have you found jeans that fit you? I mean really really actually fit you, not ones that squeeze your bum flat, or squish your hip flesh in awkwardly, or worse still, fit your bottom half fine but you get that dreaded huge gap at your back above the bum. Sad

I have never ever owned a pair of jeans that fit like a proverbial glove. Ever.

There must be one pair out there for me surely??

Some Levis or surprisingly H&M have been the closest. Not sure if Levis still doing the full Curve range, that should probably be your first stop if within budget. (If not, second hand?)

I have never bothered trying bottom-half clothes from Bravissimo but maybe worth a go.

An ex years ago (way before Levis Curve) suggested I should try independent shops marketed at black women, never got round to it, but maybe an idea if you live in a big city.

Gap, oasis Scarlett and fat face suit me!

NicknameUsed · 30/11/2016 22:28

My problem with M and S jeans is that they nearly always shrink. My best ever jeans are White Stuff jeggings. I have a waist and hips. I also find low and mid rise very uncomfortable, but the White Stuff jeggings sit comfortably and fit beautifully.

reader77 · 30/11/2016 22:28

Zara BodyCurce skinny jeans.

SteppingOnToes · 30/11/2016 22:29

Falmers used to fit me well but I can't even think the last time I saw them...

I'm rubbish with dresses too - tiny waist, big bum and big boobs :( Thank heaven for skater dresses!

April19 · 30/11/2016 22:33

I also get the skinny jamie jeans from topshop and they really are the only ones that look good on me and my butt and hips are v out of proportion . I've a tiny waist. Would prefer small bum and skinny legs pls!

sweetkitty · 30/11/2016 22:34

I'm the same probably an 8 on my waist, 10-12 hips.

Agree thank heavens for skater dresses and 1960s style prom dresses I look awful in standard dresses.

April19 · 30/11/2016 22:35

Size 32 30. Attempting to slim to 30 30 and have the jeans already bought waiting for me to do so!!!!

YesILikeItToo · 30/11/2016 22:37

I have Not Your Daughters Jeans sold to me in John Lewis who called my narrow waist 'lordosis' which to me sounded a bit like 'sway back'. But the jeans fit and I bought three pairs.

PacificDogwod · 30/11/2016 22:40

Get yourself on to Brandalley - I had 3 pairs of £££ jeans from there that, for the first time in my 50 years of life, properly fit, flatter and are comfortable.
JBrand 2x and 7forallmankind Josephine - I paid about £60 for each (over a period of a couple of years).

I do rate GAP jeans too and like their colourful ones.

'Lordosis' is the medical word for the curve at the lower spine - quite normal.

pennycarbonara · 30/11/2016 22:47

Levis Curve aren't on their UK website now. The US site has an 800 Curvy series tho. Seems like it's still one of those products that America does better, must be a higher proportion of the population who are this shap.e

Baileysbug2016 · 30/11/2016 23:02

Have the same issue . Waist size 8/10, hips & bum 12. Usually buy branded jeans as they seem to be the only ones that fit (7's/Citizens or J Brand ) however very pricey so shopped around for more affordable and recently bought some from Zara and they fit perfectly. Like right on the bum, no squeezing or half bum moments, and very comfortable . I generally find Zara have trousers and jeans that suit my shape .

PacificDogwod · 30/11/2016 23:08

JBrand sale on Brandalley just now - extra 20% off

I am the same as you. My measurements are waist 27 & hips 39. Honestly, the only jeans that have ever fitted me well are American Apparel. I've tried so many. They are high waisted and cut for our shape. Levis bold curve used to be okay but I think they stopped making them. I still have a couple of pairs. Sadly American Apparel is now closing in the uk Sad.

pseudonymity · 30/11/2016 23:30

I've never found a pair that fit in Gap or Topshop but people always recommend them so they must fit lots of people. I've been in to both and tried every style (at different times)!

HerRoyalNotness · 30/11/2016 23:30

I'm 10 too and 12 bottom sigh curvy hips and butt. My go to jeans are AG, I also used to wear Hudson, 7FAM and have some diesel. I find the designer jeans fit much better. I have some gap Ones that while they fit, look dreadful, very frumpy, so I save those for construction site gigs. I also had success with ted baker back In the day.

AndNowItsSeven · 30/11/2016 23:34

I have the same issue ,my waist is a 12 but my bum and hips are at least a 16.

Onynx · 30/11/2016 23:44

I've been happy enough with Gap jeans & also Mantaray from Debenhams - the stretchy boot cut ones. I would love to be able to wear skinnies or jeggings but always feel as if I look like I've been horse-riding or something- they always seem to develop wrinkles at the backs of my thighs Blush

MsMims · 30/11/2016 23:56

The best fit I've ever had to suit my small waist/ curvy hips is levis bold curve. No desire to visit America otherwise but would consider going there to stock up! They were the first jeans I ever found to fit like a glove.

I've had some success with Salsa (bought from house of Fraser).

The M&S jeggings and gap didn't work for me.

NeedATrim · 01/12/2016 00:32

The same brands keep popping up for recommendations but of those some obviously work for a few whilst others say they are no good.

Soooo.. If I give my measurements then if there's anyone here with similar sizing to me then would you mind listing what you wear that you're actually happy with? I don't wanna be creepy but I'm feeling glum and desperate plus my youngest is 8 months and clothes shopping is a fantasy right now but I'll do Internet shopping as next best. That ok??

I'm 27" waist 39" butt.

I found a fantastic pair at Next two weeks ago - I bought them on a whim without trying on as they "looked" like they'd fit. They fit perfectly, I checked the reviews and everyone is moaning about how small they are in the waist.

They're not in the website any more but they are called Ultimate Skinnies and £32. I've been trying to get a second pair of 10 in long with no luck, but I've seen regular length stock in a few stores.

I've never gotten along with jeans for curves (e.g. Levi Curve) as I have slim thighs so the fabric wrinkles.

Paige jeans are also good for a butt, but much more expensive. I like JCrew high rise jeans as well.

Sonotkylie · 01/12/2016 07:37

French Connection Rebound skinnies. I have them now in 3 colours. All fantastic. Only jeans I have ever worn with no belt. ...
I am size 12 small waist and large hips - 28 and 40 probably but haven't really measured for ages. And size 12 fits perfectly.

sparechange · 01/12/2016 07:45

Uniqclo jeggings, although their denim ones look a bit odd so I wear the green, burgundy and grey ones in a softer twill fabric (which doesn't rub fraying around my inner thighs, my other jeans jeans problem...)

DH decided to make it his mission to find me 'naice' jeans that fitted. Several trips to Selfridges, 7, J Brand and a shop in NY that only sells jeans, no luck

DrewOB0 · 01/12/2016 07:53

I wear next Next lift slim and shape which have a much better waist to hip ratio
