... Have you found jeans that fit you? I mean really really actually fit you, not ones that squeeze your bum flat, or squish your hip flesh in awkwardly, or worse still, fit your bottom half fine but you get that dreaded huge gap at your back above the bum. Sad

I have never ever owned a pair of jeans that fit like a proverbial glove. Ever.

There must be one pair out there for me surely??

I've just got the Gap stretch super high rise. They come up to my waist and they're smaller at the waist than the hips so I have high hopes they'll stay up. We'll see!

BabyGanoush · 07/12/2016 12:58

My magic trousers are Dorothy Perkins "Frankie" Jeggings.

much better than it sounds! They don't look like jogging and have a zip and button, like normal troos.

They are almost high-rise (but not ridiculously so, sit just under belly button), I can even wear them without belt (waist 31 inch, hips 41...yes, yes, I am a 14, not a 12 Grin )

ChadSexington · 07/12/2016 14:22

Well, due to Asda's stupid website I managed to order the wrong size of the Wonderfit! I assumed 'Large' would be a 14, but no, it's actually 18-20 Grin. Nowhere on the site could I find a size guide...sigh. Am going to go and swap them at the weekend, so will update if I have success.

NeedATrim · 08/12/2016 00:31

Chad, you're here! Ahh crap. I was banking on you coming back to tell me they are the best thing since sliced bread and I should go out and buy them them pronto. The weekend is aaaggges away. Can't you just go tomorrow Grin I'm a very important person you know, and I absolutely cannot wait for then.

Baby- great news because I've a Dorothy P 5 mins away. I'm ignoring the fact that all previous jeans from theirs I tried on were shit but I like your optimism. I'm hunting for your Frankies.

Gap again. Taybert, what size did you buy against your measurements? I sit between a 10/12/14 Hmm depending on so many variables. The cut, the style, the shop... Urgh... I envy my DH who can take his pick from anywhere he chooses.

Gap sizing is weird. I'm a pretty standard size 10. I've got other Gap jeans which are a 27 but it said the model was wearing 27 and she looked a lot thinner than me so I got a 28. They seemed fine when I tried them on but having worn them all day I think I should've gone for a 27 as the waist has loosened slightly. That said I didn't need to keep hoiking them up, I just think the smaller size would've been a better fit.

NeedATrim · 08/12/2016 17:56

They need to stand next to something so we can judge how skinny the models really are! Grin that's happened to me too, sized up because I think no flipping way - if she's a 10 then I'm an elephant. But nope, they were right I was wrong and left with clothing needing posting back.

Funny that river island and miss selfridge have yet to be recommended.

Topshop Jaime for me too. They're the only jeans I buy now - and I thought I'd never find a pair that fit me!

Neverknowing · 08/12/2016 19:08

This is me all over!! Thank you for this thread!
I love Missguided high waisted jeans in a size ten! They're a bit snug to begin with but stretch out perfectly and because they're stretchy they fit your curves Smile I tried a twelve but they stretch and go too baggy !

NeedATrim · 09/12/2016 12:12

Come Neverknowing, you're welcome here.

Its funny as I looked at the Jaime jeans because of the recommendations on here but in a fashion list on another website, it says that Jamie is for Petite but it's the Orson that's for curvy figures. No orson recommendations yet though.

I'm not a spammer I promise, but I noticed that they have the Not Your Daughter's Jeans on secretsales at the moment, and they are offering an extra 25% off today, so if you wanted to try them out, it would be a good time to do so! They'd work out at roughly £40 a pair with the discount...

HermioneWeasley · 09/12/2016 16:20

Peacocks straight leg £14 (not the £9 ones)

Nobody is more pear shaped than me and this range is great

NeedATrim · 09/12/2016 20:59

Pity sake. My Bolds have arrived. I had high bloody hopes but they're all wrong. Just sit really weird. They sit low around my hips and waist - whereas photos I've seen have the jeans sit mid high. And they fit my hips (wahoo) really well but they are low around my bum so when I bend down even a little bit, my crack says hello.
Ok. So thats one down from the list and I know for absolute surety high waist is the way.

NeedATrim · 09/12/2016 21:05

I obviously have a high sat bumHmm can't believe they're no good Sad

Thanks Chad though I can't afford it yet. I'll most likely hunt for a pair on ebay second hand as by the time I have thr money I expect the sale would have finished.

Good news Hermione, there's a peacocks 15 minute drive. Woop woop.

Have you got a next account ? They do all sorts of brands in there . Get an account and just order shedloads to try .. you don't need to part with any money until you decide to buy .

NeedATrim · 09/12/2016 21:13

Whhaaat???!

OP posts:
imjessie · 09/12/2016 21:24

Is that for me?

novelsandnaps · 09/12/2016 22:24

Top shop jaime jeans are actually one of the current pairs I own, I find the fit is great for curvier women (however the crotch to waist distance is a little to short as I have quite a long body too unfortunately!)
However, after about 10 months of wear they are definitely saggy and fall down without a belt Sad
I am planning a trip to try some nydjs next week, hopefully they'll do the trick Smile

NeedATrim · 09/12/2016 22:27

Yeah! I didnt know I could do that. Ooh you fiend! If I did, then I reckon I'd literally be ordering 300 quids worth of jeans. and still none will fit!

I don't like next clothes but have ana count for this purpose really . They have oasis and warehouse , jigsaw .. get it all sent to you and give it a go .. can also do it with h and m but you have to take it back to the post office rather than the store or courier .

NeedATrim · 10/12/2016 09:59

You are awesome Jessie you know that. I can do Post Office runs easily enough, I've a branch local to me. Cool. My mind is in overdrive.

I just wear stretch jeggings from top shop, stretch around my hips and but and slim on my waist.

imjessie · 10/12/2016 13:17

I love a bit of try before you buy shopping . Smile

ChadSexington · 11/12/2016 20:11

Finally got the correct size of Wonderfit jeans from Asda! Well, I say correct size - they come in 10-12 and 14-16, whereas I'd really like a 12-14, but decided to size up rather than down Grin.

They are good on the gaping at the back front - as they're high waisted they are pretty snug as they have loads of stretch in them. Definite thumbs up in this front.

In the downside, they are so stretchy that they're not like proper jeans in my opinion, definitely more jeggings. Also I'm 5'9" and could do with them being an inch longer, but they're not unwearable. So they're not going to replace my favourite jeans. But for a cheap casual option, I think they're pretty good!

ChadSexington · 11/12/2016 20:11

Sorry, my autocorrect was going a bit crazy there!

loinnir · 11/12/2016 21:14

M&S 5 pocket jeggings here too. I have scoliosis (curved spine - that curves to the side) so am lopsided at the waist and just above the hips. I also have a pair of fat face jeggings that are good - bit straighter (rather than tight skinny) on the leg. Not quite a "glove" as i think I would need bespoke made jeans to get that but comfy and good looking.
