How often do you wash your hair?

Apologies if there's already a thread about this previously but I'm intrigued to find out how often others wash their hair?!

I used to wash mine at least once a day, sometimes twice! But have trained my hair now to every 3-4 days. I do have a shower every single day though! Grin

Same - every 3-4 days unless I've been to the gym or beach or something.

DuggeeSchmuggee · 29/11/2016 20:55

When I was pregnant I could go 3 days without washing my hair, but now it's back to washing it everyday otherwise I end up like a greaseball. Urgh.

TeaAndBisquits · 29/11/2016 20:58

4 days here.
Mine is so thick, it takes ages to dry sand style. Dry shampoo is my friend for a refresh!

kimlo · 29/11/2016 20:59

every other day.

Purplebluebird · 29/11/2016 21:00

Every other day, or there abouts. My hair gets a bit greasy if I don't :/

DollyPlastic · 29/11/2016 21:00

Every day. I do sometimes miss a day but it looks rank.

Smartleatherbag · 29/11/2016 21:00

Twice a week. I've got very thick long hair.

PipersPiping · 29/11/2016 21:02

Every day. Ive got a pixie cut which sticks up ridiculously if i dont.

MyDogEatsBalloons · 29/11/2016 21:03

Every day. Every so often I'll try to go two days, but it's completely lank and greasy by lunchtime if I do. Luckily it's fairly short, and only takes about ten minutes to dry and style it.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 29/11/2016 21:04

I have bra strap length thick/frizzy highlighted hair which I blow dry straight.

When hair has been newly coloured, I can leave it 4 days.
When my roots are bad, it looks greasy after 1 day.

PNGirl · 29/11/2016 21:05

Every 2 days (if blowdried wavy) or 3 days (if left curly). It's dry though rather than greasy.

I wash mine properly every other day and the days I don't wash my hair I mix some shampoo with water in a plastic jug and rinse my hair with it. My scalp is ridiculously greasy, I can't be bothered to wash it properly every day but if I do leave it too long I get itchy. It's an improvement though, I used to wash it everyday. My hair is waist length but not very thick. Still takes ages to dry though.

FrickOnAStick · 29/11/2016 21:11

Every morning. Sometimes twice a day if I'm at the gym or running in the evening/afternoon.

Fine, wavy & highlighted. About 3 inches below shoulder length. Gets greasy really quickly and I get a lumpy, itchy, reactive scalp if it's left more than a day and a half.

danTDM · 29/11/2016 21:12

every 3 or 4 days. Dyed blonde and any more than this it's straw. Never looks greasy, I put it in a pony tail if I think it might.

ByeByeLilSebastian · 29/11/2016 21:14

Once a week or so.

Lilaclily · 29/11/2016 21:14

When I'm working every other day but if not every 3 days , so I wash Monday Wednesday Friday Smile

WhooooAmI24601 · 29/11/2016 21:15

Every other day. I used to do it every day but have trained it (and been lazy) so it's slowed down.

NoCapes · 29/11/2016 21:18

How often do I actually wash it?
Once or twice a week
How often should I wash it?
Probably every other day

buckeejit · 29/11/2016 21:27

Every 4 days ish now-used to be every other& it would be greasy by end of day 1 but thanks to body shop ginger shampoo, it's much better

WyldFyre · 29/11/2016 21:28

Sapphire "if I do leave it too long I get itchy."

Have you tried switching to a SLS-free shampoo? I used to get a really itchy scalp but since swapping it's much less and I can go three days now.

CaraAspen · 29/11/2016 21:28

Every day.

NeverGoOutOfStyle · 29/11/2016 21:28

3-4 days here, although I can stretch it to 5 if needs be. I have really long, thick hair that doesn't really get greasy, but by the 4th day my ends are in need of conditioner, but if I don't have the time to wash it (and the drying process that ensues) I can get a 5th day if I go for a braid and a good bit of dry shampoo.

paxillin · 29/11/2016 21:30

Disappointing thread. Usually half the thread would do it hourly, the other half annually Grin. This has NO bunfight potential so far.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 29/11/2016 21:32

paxillin Grin

No bunfight but sure as hell some folk will come on and say that they only wash their hair with the tears of a virgin. And the other half will say they wash it with fairy liquid.
