Also, on invisible blushes one of my all time favourites is the Aerin Multi Lip & Cheek Colour in 01 Natural (only comes in one colour) Lisa Eldridge made me buy it. It looks amazing, especially in winter it's a sort of rosey brown that comes off completely natural without being girlish while you're barely being able to detect it. Really lifts sallow skin to healthy and bright, giving that Bonne Mine look. Unfortunately, I think they're discontinuing the whole Aerin makeup line as it has been out of stock for forever and none of the shops seem to be restocking it and the whole Aerin makeup bit has been removed from the UK website, I'm hitting pan on it now...

I don't use the Serozonic after acid toning. Just before oil sometimes. Hadn't realised about the iffy ingredients in the Toleriane Ultra. I'm almost done with mine but actually had already decided not to repurchase in favour of the Face Theory moisturisers.

My Christophe Robin Prickly Pear mask sample has arrived so I'm going to give that a go. Assume I don't bother with conditioner. Instructions are:-

Directions of Use:

After shampooing, apply a small amount and massage thoroughly from the scalp through the lengths
Lather whilst gradually adding water
Rinse thoroughly

The Ultra is not terrible just full of silicone, acrylates, and shea butter which is irritating to some and I don't think should be marketed to ultra sensitive skin:

AQUA / WATER
ISOCETYL STEARATE
SQUALANE
BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER
DIMETHICONE
GLYCERIN
ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE
PENTYLENE GLYCOL
PEG-100 STEARATE
GLYCERYL STEARATE
CETYL ALCOHOL
DIMETHICONOL
SODIUM HYDROXIDE
ACETYL DIPEPTIDE-1 CETYL ESTER
ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER

The fluid has a much cleaner and minimal formulation and oil free (I believe), so less likely to cause reaction with most:

AQUA / WATER
SQUALANE
GLYCERIN
DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL
CARBOMER
SODIUM HYDROXIDE
ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN
CAPRYLYL GLYCOL

I haven't tried it but I do wonder how the Chanel La Solution 10 compares to the Toleriane Fluid, it's similar in minimal formulation (though Chanel has a few more ingredients and shea butter, but the extract so potentially less irritating) but frankly it's such an odd product in the Chanel lineup, they do pampering skin care with nice smells and this isn't that at all. It is, however, ridiculously expensive for 30ml, yet I'm still curious why they devoted so much R&D money to this product (or so they claim).

The Chanel INCI for comparison, it sits somewhat in between the Toleriane Ultra and Fluid:

WATER
SQUALANE (OLIVE SOURCED, NOT SHARK)
LAUROYL LYSINE (AMINO ACID)
GLYCERIN (VEGETAL)
CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT (SILVER NEEDLE WHITE TEA)
SHEA BUTTER EXTRACT
SODIUM POLYACRYLATE (EMOLLIENT)
STEARETH-21 (EMULSIFIER)
CAPRYLYL GLYCOL (HUMECTANT)
PHENOXYETHANOL (PRESERVATIVE)

I know Beiersdorf (of Nivea, Eucerin, etc.) and LRP pretty much both make the bulk of base creams which other companies add their own formulations to. I half suspect the Chanel La Solution 10 is the Fluid base tweaked with some added beneficial extracts.

They do a few Youtube videos (sometimes in French) to show you, but they tend to use more product and lather it up a bit with water. You can use with or without conditioner and if you want it to truly nourish extra deeply I put it on dry or damp hair, pop a shower cap and towel over it while taking a bath, then shampoo with a smidge of conditioner when you get out of the bath.

Found it, .

botemp · 04/12/2016 11:57

Wait that didn't make sense... shampoo after if using it on dry hair, only rinse if you shampooed before.

yongnian · 04/12/2016 13:59

Thanks bo and dulcie for the blush recommendations, will look into them. yep, should have said I do prefer a cream formulation if poss, I like a sheen. Tho I am wondering about Hourglass' Surreal light palette. (Mostly wondering how I could possibly justify spending that much on it)
indecisive I've had terrible seb derm on my scalp for years (so not psoriasis but similarly very tetchy when it comes to shampoos). In the end I found only Selsun medicated shampoo from GP got it under control and I now use a little to maintain and some T-gel to maintain. They're no fun though! But more fun than having a constantly itching, flaking scalp complete with cystic acne there. (Oh yeah!). Two other shampoos I can tolerate with a little selsun alongside are lush' s solid juniper bar for greasy hair (lots of other available depending on your hair type) and Olsson shampoo from Boots. I also have high hopes for a range called Moogoo which I found on recommended on MN on a thread about seb derm/eczema - they do a range of products for tetchy skin and scalps. I've just started using their irritable skin balm. Too soon to tell what it's really like but I'll report back here. Tou can choose two samples from their range when you order.
Talking of which, I found their website a little confusing but have now been sent their products guide which is much clearer and have found a few products which might be of general interest. There's a physical sunblock for the face for example. When I get a mo, I'll study the product guide more closely and post a few links to specific products which some of us on here have been looking at/for. We can peer review the ingredients!. (I am such a skincare geek)
And meanwhile, under the pretext of giving DD1 her own drawer in the bathroom, I've reorganised my products to accommodate the new ones. I will also shortly be having a lovely time organising my sample/travel sizes for forthcoming trips away. (Geekdom at its happiest).
In my defence, I have no social life and my hobby is severely restricted at the mo due to small yongnians
Oh AND my TO newcomers have just arrived - niacinamide, caffeine eye serum and their 'moisturiser'.
pupsie is it you who uses TO caffeine eye serum? If so, AM or PM?

yongnian · 04/12/2016 14:05

Massive X-post, as hadn't updated my browser, bo is that Aerin multi called warm gold/rich nude by any chance?

hollinhurst84 · 04/12/2016 14:07

Moogoo I didn't like the shampoo but the conditioner was lovely

botemp · 04/12/2016 15:08

It's called 01 Natural and it's, well, kind of natural. It vaguely goes into bronzer territory but not really, it's quite a unique colour not golden at all (or glittery, it has a very healthy looking sheen). I'll look up the Lisa Eldridge video it was in when I'm not on mobile.

yongnian · 04/12/2016 15:24

Sounds good. I found one on eBay in the States but not that colour.
hollin interesting about the moogoo shampoo, what didn't you like about it? There is a scalp cream indecisive jo that might be worth trying a sample of.

hollinhurst84 · 04/12/2016 15:38

It didn't feel very moisturising to me, but I do have exceptionally dry hair (it never gets greasy and my scalp flakes it's that dry)
Conditioner was beautiful
I'm using one from TK Maxx that's gorgeous, both shampoo and conditioner from this brand https://bynatureskincare.com

AuroraPolaris · 04/12/2016 16:19

bo of course he didn't make out on his own, poor thing, but it was his idea and he did do all the printing. It's already at school so hopefully it will still be standing tomorrow morning... but i've already sworn I'm never ever again making something on spindly legs

shrew I think your skin could really benefit from morning cleanse with LRP Toleriane. Just use a very small amount massage a bit to get the blood flowing, and if you can tolerate it (pun intended Grin) wash it off with the coldest tap water. If you then look in the mirror you will already see a huge difference.
I think that when you finish you Olay serum you could eventually exchange it for something a bit more potent. If you feel like venturing into AB and are not afraid of snail muck you could try the Benton Snail Bee essence discussed upthread.
I'm curious who told you fragrance is bad? What nonsense! Sure, some people are sensitive to some fragrances, like bo, but myself, though I'm very sensitive to some things, am not affected by them at all . So why generalise? The Clarins oils are really great, though I personally think the Lotus one is the best (and I too have dryish skin). Eventually you could also try the Caudelie Polyphenol C15 oil, which is a dryer oil that the Clarins ones, but has a lot of great INCI. In the winter you can also use two drops of oil just before moisturising.

Back to blushes - I think Nars are really great and so are the Dior blushes that come in two-toned little palettes (I have 943 strawberry sorbet - but it's from a few years ago). Those things last forever if you are careful not to ever drop them, but I won't "recommend" a colour since we are of very different colouring (I have light/medium neutral caucasian colouring, light hair, blue eyes etc). A GREAT cream blush is the Bourjois one in the small pot. Nr 2 is the perfect undetectable "I woke up like this" shade for me. I also have one of the very small Max Factor ones, but I find it harder to blend so hardly use it.
If you are looking to experiment with new colours you could always go to a MAC counter and try stuff out.

When we were talking about KIKO I forgot to mention I also have a few of their eyeshadow sticks which are also great.

hollinhurst84 · 04/12/2016 16:27

I've just got a sample of the Lancôme teint 24hr foundation and I'm in love Smile popped it on with a beauty blender and it's just lovely

AuroraPolaris · 04/12/2016 16:28

bo you are making me look up blushes again. Just googled that Aerin blusher and looks very lovely but I certainly don't need another one besides that Nars one I'm still lusting after

Indecisivejo · 04/12/2016 16:29

Botemp it's strange isn't it because the derm cleanser is only thing other than the pink bioderm that I can use on my eyes with no problems!
I hated the LRP toleriane cleansing milk and the moisturising fluid.
I'm not sure about squalene, the few products I've used containing it I've not liked but whether that was because of the squalene I do not know. I wish I was one of these people who could use anything on my skin without problems.

Indecisivejo · 04/12/2016 16:32

Yongnian.. moogoo is another brand I have tried and hated. Their shampoo and conditioner destroyed my scalp and hair and their skincare/bodycare products were horrible on me.

AuroraPolaris · 04/12/2016 16:36

Oh and it wasn't me who recommended the Stila palette, by the way. But don't know who did Wink

Dulcimena · 04/12/2016 16:38

bo I have never tried any of the aerin line, I'm not sure that it really established where it sat in the market. I'd be interested to heat your views of surratt, I was recommended their lipsliques recently but have no real knowledge of the brand. It sounds good though. By the way, do you use the longest lashes chantecaille mascara or the regular faux cils?

yong illamasqua cream blushes are great too, esp if you like a touch of sheen. Becca cream blushes were awesome but disappointingly I think discontinued. I am also a big fan of Becca highlighters, but that's for another day.

aurora Lisa Eldridge rates the Revlon cream blushes iirc, and actually I saw some in tk maxx last week - I think flushed and coral something. And +1 on the kiko eye sticks, I couldn't tell the difference between those and the spendy by terry ombre blackstars, except the price!

EnidButton · 04/12/2016 17:41

I like the Lancôme 24hr foundation but they don't do one quite pale enough for me. Sad It's a very good foundation though.

whyistherumgone · 04/12/2016 17:41

Just perusing groupon for christmas presents and came across this:

www.groupon.co.uk/deals/hyaluronic-acid-facial-oil

HA facial oil by Cougar I think the brand is. Anyone familiar with it?

Also, does anyone use collagen face masks and how have you found them?

I'm enjoying the chat about cream blushes, I'm going to check out the Illamasqua cream blushes now :)

EnidButton · 04/12/2016 17:43

Aurora can I ask why cold water? Is it just so the skin doesn't get flushed from hot? I think I use water that's too hot sometimes.

hollinhurst84 · 04/12/2016 17:44

Enid - I'm wearing the shade 005 and it's pretty light on me oddly!

EnidButton · 04/12/2016 17:48

That's the shade I had. Maybe it was too warm for me. It wasn't far off but seemed to oxidise slightly after a couple of hours. Might get a sample and try it again. It is a nice formula.
