size 20/22 - Please HELP???

I am going to meet with a friend whom I last saw 25 years ago when I was a size 10.
For various reasons (mostly health related) I am now a 20/22.

I want to feel confident about my presentation.

I was thinking - dark jeans, white shirt, blazer/tweed jacket.
scarf, good boots and bag. sort of thing I feel comfy in.
I am not good with dresses/skirts/ heels, so that type of look is best.

But, what underwear for a good 'foundation'?
I have a protruding stomach and a bulge from 2 c-secs.
I also have comedy sized breasts.

Pls be kind.

I don't have the courage to go into a shop, and can't afford a personal stylist.

But I'd like to look as good as I can, for my own self esteem.

Yes, he HAS behaved appallingly. (far more than I've said here).

If I'd not sent the pic, or I was 'just' older not fatter, or I had any self esteem, I think I could think: 'tosser' and move on.

But, I did, I am, and I don't.
And it will be even harder to, now.
Aaargh!

Cos is great for an architect look so essentially trendy understated/ I'd go for a simple black dress over thick smoothing tights, get nails shellac and brows neatened, blow dry hair (self or salon depends on budget) a light spot of fake tan all over for a healthy glow, and lipstick. Basically head for simple with polish.
Or if jeans and shirt more you honestly avoid boot cut at all costs, it's frumpy. It is, don't be offended, but it is. Straight slim dark jeans with white oversized casual shirt, leopard shoes/boots, grooming as above
Voila

I think you look lovely.
I'm glad he showed his true colours early on. Lucky escape for you.

What an absolute tosser he sounds! Definitely his loss - sounds like you had a lucky escape Silk Flowers

You honestly look lovely, I wouldn't have guessed you were a size 20/22 either. I'd put you at maybe a size 18 and around 40 years old? You look great either way so don't let him get you down!

NewBalls you are alright! :)

I am 49.

He is 68
(and, not being horrible, but never was exactly attractive - not so much not handsome- though he wasn't, but BO and bad breath etc I never had the heart to tell him)

You look fab and I would have guessed around 40.
Do not waste another second on that utter prick.
Block his number, FB, any other method of contacting you.
He is no good for you in any way whatsoever.

I'm 43 and you look like a lot of my friends about my same age. I would look for lines around your eyes but you don't seem to have any and your neck (another giveaway) is supersmooth....

BradleyPooper · 07/12/2016 00:11

I would never have guessed 49. At 68 and given your description he's hardly God's gift. Write back to him, don't send it, and then shred the letter. That's what would help me.

Silk,

You look lovely, and you have a great smile, it make me think you are about to say something naughty that would make me laugh.

I would not have guessed you were a size 20 either. I'd think you were 43-45 ish years old?

The guy is clearly a self entitled bastard.

You deserve better.

I have written an ESSAY tonight.

I will try not to send it.

He recently wrote to me that
'so far, revealing the mess that is me does not seem to have driven you away'.

Perhaps I will reply: 'It just did' and leave it at that?

Do not send the essay ! I would just go total silence to be honest. Then he can wait and wait and think you may reply!

I think you look stunning.

He is a cock of the highest order. Don't waste any more tears over such a twat.

Dignified silence is the way forward. Don't engage in any of his games, don't respond, don't give him the time of day.

I saw this yesterday and would have guessed at 40-45 but didn't want to risk it in case it was wrong and made you feel worse! You look great, he sounds like a knob...

I cant.
I had to go to the Jobcentre today.
No disabled parking.
I parked on a single yellow so I didn't get a sanction for being late for interview.
I got a parking ticket.
It has been a shite day.
I bought 2 fresh cream custard slices for the kids after school snack.
I decided to eat one.
I dropped the packet out of the fridge.
The dog got both.

I am trying to laugh...

sorry, should say I have a blue badge and really cant walk far at all.
I thought single yellows were okay in those circs.
apparently not.
the Church had had a 'loading bay' marked outside which I didn't see.
so, I am £70 down.
and bordering on hysteria!
