M&s beauty calendar

Ivytheterrible · 09/11/2016 13:17

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

Dillite2 I use foundation over SPF I just give it a while to sink in and use a primer before foundation to 'hold' it in place

mowglik · 07/12/2016 10:45

I use Biore face milk which is a mattifying sunscreen - it works really well under foundation and even acts as a kind of primer as foundation or bb cream seems to last longer

I used to use ultrasun antipigmentation sunscreen but found it was a bit greasy for use under make up

happychristmasbum · 07/12/2016 15:15

I will use the sunscreen - glad to get something I don't have to regift to DD Grin

YouWereRight · 07/12/2016 21:35

Today's was the most underwhelming so far for me, though I will still use it. Its just not very exciting, really.

I loved yesterdays eyeliner. I've been meaning to try it, or Eyeko's Eye do eyeliner for a while, so will definitely use it.

Scorpiostar · 07/12/2016 21:39

I was a bit disappointed this morning. Sun cream in December? Chance would be a fine thing.

BumWad · 07/12/2016 22:14

Another one for my sis!

CherrySkull · 07/12/2016 22:20

i was well happy with the eyeliner, i love the Eyeko ones, but loathe paying that much.. last one i bought with my Birchbox points, now i have another free one. wheeeee.

Not overly enthused over todays, but i will save it for next year i suppose.

CointreauVersial · 07/12/2016 23:05

I'm a huge fan of today's offering, although I agree it will be put away until the summer (yes, yes, I know, should wear sunscreen all year round...). UltraSun is brilliant stuff, sinks straight in to the skin but does an excellent job. Much nicer than the usual greasy/chalky stuff. I got through a tube of this exact product in California this August.

MoonlightMedicine · 08/12/2016 06:53

Aargh today's is exciting!

DoorsAndWater · 08/12/2016 06:57

Love todays, sun screen makes sense now Smile love this calendar!

rocket74 · 08/12/2016 06:58

Yay - I've been wanting to try this for ages but it's always seemed so expensive. Surely this is worth about £30 by itself?!

SassyPants19 · 08/12/2016 06:58

You can spend your £35 in the food hall...

rocket74 · 08/12/2016 07:01

Just looked - more like £17.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 08/12/2016 07:09

I'm pleased with today's! Although I'm slightly concerned that my skin will have disintegrated by Christmas with all these acid peels Grin

I've heard lots about today's being brilliant but never used it and not entirely surely when my first try should be!
I was the same with yesterday's- I love the product and used it last summer but I felt a bit more meh about that one as it wasn't as exciting as the previous offerings!

Needastrongone · 08/12/2016 08:54

I was quite impressed with mine today. Not sure why as I had never heard of it, but it looked good. Smile

The M&S calendar is so fab. I wish that I had bought 2, does anyone else feel that way or is that daft?

Nettletheelf · 08/12/2016 09:04

I also wish I'd bought two. It has been bloody fantastic. Especially today's...50ml is a really generous size.

The ultrasun stuff from yesterday is perfectly timed for skiing as well as for use with the acid products.

That eyeliner is great too. Doesn't shift all day.

Gingernaut · 08/12/2016 09:12

I bought one for my SIL and then saw your reviews for them.

When I went to two different M&S stores, they were no longer selling them.

Xmas Angry Xmas Sad Xmas Envy

woodhill · 08/12/2016 11:21

Do you put this product on before you sleep under night cream?

haggisaggis · 08/12/2016 12:06

Just seen this. My mum thought it was a chocolate calendar so bought if for ds & dd to share...ds unsurprisingly not impressed but dd (14) quite likes it. Looks like I need to snaffle some of the stuff for me though!

OverScentedFanjo · 08/12/2016 13:44

What is it? Will my skin be hanging off by Chirstmas day?

CiderwithBuda · 08/12/2016 15:07

The Alpha Liquid Gold is an acid as well. I have it already bu haven't used for a while. I used to use it twice a week.

The idea is to cleanse your skin and then use this product on a cotton pad. It's apparently best to not put anything on after to let it do its thing. If you are not keen on doing that you could use it early in the evening and wait a couple of hours before putting on a night cream or whatever.
