M&s beauty calendar

Ivytheterrible · 09/11/2016 13:17

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

Ooh I've found you. Intrigued by today's offering. Anyone know when best to apply it? Before serum? Is it a serum?

2014newme · 03/12/2016 10:54

Those 3 products no way are worth £55 for the sizes they are 😂

happychristmasbum · 03/12/2016 11:10

2014 that is what they retail at on various online websites, for those sizes. I totally get what you mean about the exorbitant cost of beauty products though!

Follyfoot · 03/12/2016 11:14

I've used today's product and am astonished. There is a visible difference in my skin. Probably just a temporary effect, but good all the same.

Costacoffeeplease · 03/12/2016 11:20

Gosh, I shall look forward to trying it

I wonder if the stores and suppliers monitor these threads for feedback? Neal's yard will be a bit pissed off they were mistaken for burt's bees Grin

Cherryskypie · 03/12/2016 11:28

I've been using the hand cream and thought it was Burt's Bees Blush. I was really surprised because I hate their stuff (except for their lip balms). I love the Neal's Yard hand cream

sleighmyname · 03/12/2016 11:29

I told everyone it was Burts Bees until I looked at it more closely later that day Blush

Haven't tried the hand cream yet and also scared of the acid peel but will give it a shot

Well, the hand cream is a full-size and that's £10, the Rodial peel is £45 for 75ml, and we got 20mls, and the filorga is £29 for 30mls and we got 15mls, so that works out to about £37, but it's already more than we all paid for the whole box!

fenella did you get a different rodial product? Rudys one is the one I got..

I thought the hand cream was burts bees too - 8; anything they'll get constructive feedback about their packaging Grin it's the colour of the tube plus the bees that did it. I used the peel yesterday and skin is looking lovely - planning to use this twice a week as recommended.

jinglytinglypasta · 03/12/2016 12:21

I was all excited about joining this thread but if we are all going to get into a fight about the value...Confused

First ever advent calendar of this type. Very very pleased with the products and their (as yet undetermined!) value Grin

MyWitlessPal · 03/12/2016 12:29

I'm bloody loving mine.

Today's product is like a less-clarty Beauty Flash Balm.

woodhill · 03/12/2016 12:33

Hi Happy no the filler productSmile

Dillite2 · 03/12/2016 19:50

Loving the hand cream. Wonderful smell. I haven't yet tried the peel and will be giving that wrinkle cream to my mum as I don't yet have any. I thought that perhaps it was stupid of me to buy it, but I do not regret it at all now.

val4 · 03/12/2016 19:59

Loving it too. I too that handcream was burts bees....didn't read it properly! I have 2 teenage girls eagerly 'helping' me open box each day. So far they are happy to leave it to me.....but I'm v satisfied so far😁

nickdrakeslovechild · 03/12/2016 20:28

I have opened tomorrows already! all I will say is it's a full sized product and one I was going to buy to try!!! LOVE this calendar.

Ingles2 · 03/12/2016 20:42

I've just tried the peel and have skin like a baby's bottom! I LOVE this calendar :)

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 03/12/2016 21:04

What what what!! It's Neal's Yard?? So it is!

Very interesting, actually. How we associate certain images with certain brands.

Tessticklesyourfancy · 03/12/2016 21:57

I've tried the acid peel tonight, my skin feels lovely and smooth. I'm hoping to see a difference when I look in the mirror in the morning Grin haven't tried the hand cream or whatever today's wrinkle stuff is yet but Im pleased so far.

Howaboutthisone · 03/12/2016 22:41

Another one who thought burts bees until closer inspection! Love the Neals Yard handcream- one of the best I've tried and I've tried many! Need to do some research into how to use the rodial peel and the filler as have never used these sorts of products before. So happy I bought this calendar!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 03/12/2016 22:49

It's Neals Yard? Ha! I hadn't noticed either. I also did the peel last night and my face feels amazing. How do we use today's filler? Is it a bit like a primer?

Bubbinsmakesthree · 04/12/2016 04:25

Impressions of the first 3 boxes:

  1. I've had this before (was a magazine freebie) but it's a nice product and love the smell
  2. Exciting! I love Rodial stuff (I am still rationing the last of the Dragon's Blood serum from last year's calendar as it was amazing, but so pricey I can't justify buying it).
  3. didn't we get this in last year's calendar? I tried it once on my frown lines last year and it sort of sat on my skin then flaked off unappealingly. Will give it another try.
