Can you help me choose a wedding dress? (pictures)

I'm not a big white dress kind of person but if you hate them both feel free to say!

Both exactly the same shape, just different colours and design at the top. I cannot for the life of me choose. Number one is pale pink. Number two is off white.

I like the white, plus I think it looks better with the cardi.

Scribblegirl · 18/10/2016 13:49

I actually love the white one, and I like the cardi!!

BrioLover · 18/10/2016 13:51

I like both dresses. I had this cover up on my wedding day: http://uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/ukcatalog/monn1,mon1.3/9331354153

Early spring time wedding which here can mean either snow or blazing sunshine. Hopefully outside (countryside in the middle of nowhere) but the weather may send us inside.

I'm not a huge fan of the dress but prefer the first one. I do like the cardigan but the shape of it does not suit those dresses at all. It gives far too much coverage at the front and comes down too far in a boxy way that doesn't work. That cardigan would look nice on a really simple satin bodice with no detail, it looks a bit off to cover up so much of the detailed part of your dress. As others have said, a bolero or shrug style would be better. Or consider if you can manage without - if it is that cold, how much outdoors time will you have?

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 18/10/2016 13:57

The second one is lovely but agree with others to lose the cardi.

sycamore54321 · 18/10/2016 13:57

Oops I meant I prefer the White, the second one!

gratesnakes · 18/10/2016 14:05

I prefer the pink.
You will look beautiful.
Massive respect to you for being so cool about your wedding.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 18/10/2016 14:24

A shrug is a cardie/wrap. But one which only covers your arms and shoulders. They look crap on me. Not sure what the difference between a shrug and a bolero is, unless it's when you're a bit meh about the design Wink getting my coat shrug bolero cardie

AllTheBabies · 18/10/2016 14:29

Okay. I've seen people in those. I'm not completely sure it would be for me though.

I like number 2, with a feathered bolero it would look great -

I have a vintage one which I wear with strappy dresses, warm and stylish! Whereabouts in Scotland are you?

whattheseithakasmean · 18/10/2016 18:09

Where do the feathers come from for that bolero? I find the idea of real feathers fairly icky. But then, I actually like the cardi (& you will def need it in Scotland in spring!)

MissWillaCather · 18/10/2016 18:11

maybe, if you need to accessorise with something that spoils the dress.....you might be better with a different dress......??

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 18/10/2016 18:38

I like them both but prefer the white. More weddingy.

It's a ballet type dress so a crossover will look fab but totally cover up the prettiest part of the dress! When's the wedding and can you get away with nothing and just a little jacket for when it gets chillier?

Soggywellies · 18/10/2016 19:01

No 2! You look lovely in both but I think the second one looks more special.

AllTheBabies · 18/10/2016 19:25

I don't think the cardi spoils the dress though! I'm aware that is going against the grain Grin it would be on and off anyway. I'm as happy wearing the dress without as I am with. I just don't want to be cold!

I tried them both on again and I think it's going to be the white. My dd1 said it likes like sparkly snow Smile

Ok, can take a telling, and in the words of my dearly departed mother.,,if you like it..,😀

kate33 · 18/10/2016 19:40

Ooh tough because both are gorgeous and you look very comfortable in them. I would go with the pink. I bet you have a fab day and will be able to dance, eat, show off the new babba in both style and comfort because the dress you are choosing looks like it will be a dream to wear. Congratulations OP!Flowers

I like the white! Also in Scotland and I suggest a champagne overcoat.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 18/10/2016 19:42

Very pretty. The white one!

sartra · 18/10/2016 19:43

Very pretty dress. You have to feel comfy and happy on the day. The white is much nicer however if you think you may wear the pink again go with that, it's still very nice.

ShmooBooMoo · 18/10/2016 19:44

Honestly? The white looks a bit dingy (is that how you spell it?). I'm not fussed on the pink though. I love the cardigan.

Ilovewillow · 18/10/2016 19:44

The White is lovely but not the cardigan, too fluffy for the dress. I love the pink but if you are having daffodils I think they would go better with the White!

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 18/10/2016 19:50

White, as you're carrying daffodils. It'll be gorgeous.

But yeah, no cardigan.

Ginmakesitallok · 18/10/2016 19:58

The white one is lovely- and a denim jacket would be better than that cardi!!
