Herbs what a day! I suspect that DM not getting on with the carer might be a major factor. She can be treated for depression. crem gives good advice re communicating with GPs. Not being a dog owner, I am Shock about your cousins puppy and DS. I hope DS is ok but maybe this is par for the course with boisterous puppies. There are far more knowledgeable Crepeys who know about dogs on this board.

Flowers to addle. Sister, may I join the sanatorium? I don't know if I have reflux, or a throat infection or both. I feel awful and have work tonight. Have cancelled this morning's plans and will stay in. It's not affecting my appetite though...am still eating for England but trying to stick to porridge and the like. Boo. Bum. I have no patience with illness.

Candice annoys the life out of me but on yesterday's performance she was I suspect, the right person to win. Had the final been last week I suspect Andrew would have pipped her. Jane is a sweetie but a bit too "domestic kitchen " to be winner. I mourn the loss of Bake off as we know it...
Sad Sad Sad

Another one here who doesn't wear matching bras and pants. I love the idea but the reality is that the knickers which go with pretty bras never feel comfy to me. Sloggi wearers....what's the sizing like? I always go up a size in knickers and circa £13 per pair is expensive is the size is wrong!

herbaceous · 27/10/2016 10:36

I have various coloured bras, then buy roughly the same colour pants in cotton from Sainsburys. Anything non-cotton on my nethers results in fanny rot.

I shall contact the army of support people about mum and her suspected depression. It's been there a while, but always gets worse in the winter - she gets SAD. What with that and the pain and memory loss and her husband being not really there any more, anyone would get depressed frankly.

Feel shattered today, but off on a picnic in the forest. Each school holiday we get together with DS's nursery chums for picnic and treasure hunt, loosely based around a theme. Natch, this half term holiday's theme is always halloween. DS has an excellent severed hand he bought from Poundland to make with him.

Have had to rush poor cat to vet, as he was wheezing and looking stoned. Bet has found a tumour ( could be benign or might not) plus she thinks he has a chest infection. I have reacted badly to this news and am feeling weepy and wretched. Cat is almost lifeless on my bed. Full of anti-biotics etc it could be the tumour , or it might be an infection , or something he ate. Aargh feel a bit crumbly.

magimedi · 27/10/2016 11:40

Sloggi pretty true to size - I've been in a 16 for ever. Also take 16 in skirts & jeans.

Debenhams sometimes have them on offer.

Bloody vertigo still here - I am very fed up with it.

Cremolafoam · 27/10/2016 11:47

Poor MagiFlowers

Auriga · 27/10/2016 11:58

Stand by your beds, here comes Sister.
Beachy, Crem, Hattie, Lalsy, Magi, MI, Montserrat, Rosebag, Rudy, MrsS, how are you?

Are you taking proper care of yourselves?

Auriga · 27/10/2016 12:00

Sorry to see that, Crem. Fingers crossed for DCat.

magimedi · 27/10/2016 12:04

Flowers, Crem. Poor cat - it's awful when they are ill.

hattymattie · 27/10/2016 12:07

Grin Sister Auriga - how are you though?

I am OK bar popping ears. I am going to get my flu jab tomorrow.

So, my Victoria Sandwich - has not risen very much. I do not understand what I do wrong - DD1 can use exactly the same recipe and she gets a fab cake. Maybe it's in the stirring. You won't be seeing me on Bake Off anytime soon.

Crem Sad re cat - crossing my fingers with Auriga.

Rosebag · 27/10/2016 12:24

Poor Cremcat Sad

Sister, I am descending into the pit of viral hell....and still got indigestion,
but improved a bit since I doubled my dose of Ranitidine. Thank you Dr Google

I do love a good Victoria Sandwich. A few years ago I hosted one of those charity tea parties. I made 10 (ten, x) Shock Take heart Hatty Don't think they need to rise too much.... Those great big, hugely risen cakes often taste of nothing....

Magi I think it's a process with Labyrinthitis....gradual improvement rather than dramatic. Lousy condition Flowers

Cremolafoam · 27/10/2016 13:11

Cheery deer pic, for everyone.

magimedi · 27/10/2016 13:11

Flowers Rose - troubles is, as DS always says: "Patience is a virtue - that my mother does not have"!

I am being boringly good & resting lots, Sister!

Blackduck · 27/10/2016 13:33

Cremo fingers crossed nowt serious with cremcat....

motherinferior · 27/10/2016 14:24

Cremo, you may recall one of our cats was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a year to live rather well before my mum was diagnosed with hers in Sept 2014. Cat still going strong if grumpy, with no treatment at all. Mum had extensive chemo, surgery and more treatment and pegged it this May...

I would like a nap but have been asked to submit a Tender Brief, snigger.

Auriga · 27/10/2016 14:55

hattymattie · 27/10/2016 15:19

Aww - very cute deer and lovely cat Auriga.

Have been out for coffee and chat with friends. Going to make curry now for tea (well - use M&S curry paste).

Apparently the hour changes this weekend - have only just realised.

bigTillyMint · 27/10/2016 15:55

Thanks Hatty - was wondering about that! The clicks going back, I mean!

Sorry to hear of ill puss, Cremo - as if there wasn't enough going on. Lovely photo of deerSmile And cats!

I am in bed after a rather traumatic visit to the dentist where he struggled for half an hour to get into a vein. So I had the tooth out without sedation Shock - he was so lovely it was actually ok, but I lost the plot when DH came to pick me up but had left the car in Sainsbo's carpark and we had to walk back there firstAngrySad Couldn't he just THINK for once?
So I have been asleep for a couple of hours, just woken by NDD yowling/barking - obviously has been shut into the bedroom next to ours Confused

herbaceous · 27/10/2016 17:17

HerbCat, feeling moved beyond endurance by the CremCat plight. He's probably doing a bit of a wee as well.

magimedi · 27/10/2016 17:31

What lovely cats you all have.

MI Your manky one is very like a smaller version of my late lamented boy.

I want another cat but as DH says we go away so much at present that it would be a bit daft. None of my neighbours have cats or are cat lovers so no chance of a feeding scheme.

Collymollypuff · 27/10/2016 17:35

MI, submit a bright pink Sloggi brief.

Crem, so sorry about your cat. Sad Hope you get good news. But I can vouch for the vigour and intrepid nature of MI's terminal cat.

Lalsy · 27/10/2016 17:49

Aw, Crem, it is all happening....hope cat OK and gorgeous deer!

Got pfb back for flying visit.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/10/2016 17:54

Poor cat and poor you Crem. I'd like to say GoatDog sends her best wishes but it would be a lie. She has no compassion whatsoever when it comes to cats - or squirrels. She does say that she is feeling a bit peaky herself and is currently asleep next to me on a cashmere jumper - sooooo high maintenance it isn't even funny.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/10/2016 18:10

Wah. How do you post a photo?? I tried to upload one I took on my phone, then failed to my laptop and upload it on here by choosing it a a file. MN Computer says 'NO" - wrong format... (it's a jpeg).Help Pleeeease.
