How much do you weigh?

Sorry I know these are done a lot but I searched and couldn't find any for this height and size.

I'm doing SW and currently a size 12, my goal size is a 10 and target weight set as 9 and a half stone currently. I wondered whether this was an accurate weight to aim for.

OP posts:

5.1 and weigh 8 stone 8, size 10. Prefer to be 8.6 which is my pre- baby weight. Can sometimes get into an 8 sometimes need a 12.

DustyMaiden · 03/10/2016 22:52

I'm 5ft 2 and at 10st 4 I was a size 8.

very small frame size 3 feet.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 03/10/2016 22:56

Don't aim for dress sizes. They are utter nonsense. I'm 5'2", 8.5 stone and wear an 8 in some clothes and a 12 in others. I've even got two skirts from the same shop that both fit me perfectly, one is an 8 the other is a 14Confused

Well done so far and I hope you hit your target.

PurpleWithRed · 03/10/2016 23:00

I'm 5' 2.5" size 10 and weigh a bit under 8 ½ stone. Was a definite 12 at 9 ½ stone.

StressheadMcGee · 03/10/2016 23:28

I'm 5`1 and a size 10, and I currently weigh 9 1/2 stone. Obviously your shape and how you carry your weight makes a big difference.

mawbroon · 03/10/2016 23:33

I'm 5ft 1.5" and weigh 8st 7lbs and wear a size 10.

minipie · 03/10/2016 23:48

5'3, about 9 stone, 8/10. Mostly 10 if I'm honest...

TroubleinDaFamily · 04/10/2016 00:04

5' 3"

8 13

8/10

clippityclop · 04/10/2016 00:16

5'1" 7.5 stone. Size 8. 5.5 shoes.

Florathefern · 04/10/2016 01:48

5'2" and 9st 6 odd. Size 12 on bottoms and size 10 for tops. I am definitely quite overweight for my small frame. I am aiming for 8st 10pds which I think will get me back into size 10 clothes.

Trifle66 · 04/10/2016 06:26

I'm 5'2 and on the Slimming world scales weigh 9 stone. Pear shaped (small bust) . I find I'm getting into 8/10 dresses depends on shop fittings. Some 10's too big
I would have been 8st 7lb in my 20/30's and a size 8 however think id look too thin now (50) - starting SW I was 11st and squeezing into size 12. remember whatever weight you aim for needs to be maintainable.

Simmi1 · 04/10/2016 06:34

I'm 5"2 and about 9st10/62kg
I'm mostly a 12
I was a 10 at 8st10
I would love to be lighter but can't seem to maintain below 9st

insancerre · 04/10/2016 06:34

I'm 5" 2 and a size 10
I weigh just over 8 and 1/2 stone
Its the most I've ever weighed apart from when I was pregnant and then I was 9 st at full term

I'm finding that some size 10 s are a bit tight so definitely need to lose a few pounds

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 04/10/2016 06:44

I'm 5"2 and a size 10 and I weigh 8 stone 10. I don't look particularly slim though.

I think your ideal size depends on your frame. I have gained about 10 lbs over the last couple of years and I am trying to lose it again, the extra weight just doesn't suit my frame because I am very slight. I am much more comfortable as a size 8.

mollie123 · 04/10/2016 06:48

I am very surprised at the differences in sizing re height and weight.
I am 5' 1" and weigh 8 1/2 stone BUT I have a reverse pear shape and need a 14/16 up top - big boobs - but a 10/12 in jeans/trousers.
I was told by my GP that I was in the middle BMI wise and neither under or overweight.
I am sure sizes do vary quite a lot between shops though
Op - depends where your weight is - to get to a size 10 all over I would have thought you need to get down to around 8 1/2 stone.

girlwithamoonandstaronherhead · 04/10/2016 06:55

I'm 5.2 size 10 about 8.9 at the mo. At the moment I could be 12 on top but I'm quite big breasted so that makes a difference. For me 8.6 is perfect, 8 too thin and 9 a little too heavy but easy to maintain and not too bad! I think it varies a lot on build, I read these threads with amazement about people who are 5.7 and 8 stone.

TheVirginQueen · 04/10/2016 06:57

About 8 stone 8.

But I'm not quite 5'2" and I'm not always a 10. 8 for tops and coats. 10 for trousers.

TheVirginQueen · 04/10/2016 07:00

I wouldn't let my gp advise me on my BMI. I do a lot of exercise so that makes you heavier than if you were just the same weight doing no exercise. Well, that makes no sense. But ykwim

Littlebee76 · 04/10/2016 07:10

I'm 5ft2 and weigh 8 stone. I'm a size 8

user1471503992 · 04/10/2016 07:45

I'm 5' 2", just under 9 stone and mostly wear a 10 with occasional 8s. I shop in Topshop regular length, their petite clothes are too narrow in the shoulders and generally slightly too short. H&M/Zara are more miss than hit on me, they seem to be made for someone with bigger waist and smaller hips than me, although I like Zara jeans they're a foot too long.

NantucketNightbird · 04/10/2016 07:58

I'm just under 5ft 3, 8st 10 and a size 10. I have a small frame with size 3 feet. My mother is 5ft and has size 8 feet, her build is very broad.

vintagechick43 · 04/10/2016 09:03

5ft and weight 8.3 size 8/10 , prefer to be under 8 St.

specialsubject · 04/10/2016 09:04

Do they really set dress size as a goal? No standards, no measurements, no point.

Healthy weight for height is a range, not an absolute. Labels in knickers measure nothing.

BumbleNova · 04/10/2016 09:26

I'm 5'3, just over 10 stone and an 8 or a 10 depending on the shops. I'm pretty muscly though. I'd be also be wary of being too worried about the numbers on the scale tbh, muscle weighs more than fat. I've no idea what the ideal solution is though OP, BMI is also flawed. I'd aim for happy and healthy.

Flingmoo · 04/10/2016 09:31

I'm that size and I'm 9st. I can be anywhere from an size 8 for dresses to a 12 for jeans in certain shops!
