The dds have returned to school/uni. Life is drama free in the Wobble house. Coincidence? Lack of drama is welcome though as 2 of Mil's carers have decided to have a massive row and are refusing to speak to each other which is making life difficult for Sil. Dh and I think she should have kept out of the row but she appears to have taken sides which has inflamed the situation further. We're just keeping our heads down until it all blows over - I'm sure this is a least said soonest mended situation.

Enjoy the play reading those of you going. I'd love to meet up with you in real life and am trying to pluck up the courage to do so. One day perhaps.

motherinferior · 04/10/2016 08:35

Oh do! We are very nice.

I'm coming to the reading! And GGG, I had a scalding shower, have conducted a Ladyjog and have had some ideas for Section 3. Will link to frock later - it's one of those cheap stretchy basics M&S does rather well - I have a different one of that ilk on today, in attempt to break out of Jeans Rut (actually I am effectively wearing a tunic and leggingsSmile).

I am also exploring various perfume samples from Bloom Perfumery and from atelier cologne via Feelunique. Today I whiff headily of jasmine and cardamom. I like it but am not sure how many others would. (Also a slight Proust Madeleine moment as I realised my mum would have, as I smell like a Nice Indian Sweetshop).

frock

I am finding myself very partial to red as I Embrace the Grey.

Collymollypuff · 04/10/2016 10:26

MrsW, you could join us for a walk - they are lovely. And it's a random act of kindness to chisel a few slivers of lard off my middle. Grin Welcome, Fresh. What are Skeptics in the Pub? Could we do a meet-up for crepeys at one of their events?

Glad your MRI wasn't too awful, Auriga. How was yours, Stropps?

Bon courage to all those with work strife. Sad MI, that dress will suit you and red is, uh, fierce. Grin I am a Leo, so I do like red.

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 10:36

I like red, also, but only certain tones. I think I must be a 'winter'. Have recently noticed 95% of my clothes are grey, black, white or blue. Or stripey, in any of those colours. When I ever get any money again, I may splash out. I am once again reduced to selling my possessions to afford a prescription for fanny cream.

Collymollypuff · 04/10/2016 10:41

Flesh, sorry to have got your name wrong. Blush Meet someone for the first time, get their name wrong.... Blush

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 10:57

To continue the 'downstairs' theme, I am happy to report no more disturbance in the arse area. Consequently had my first good night's sleep since Thursday and am New Woman.

Working through my pre-interview tasks, all SIX of them. Including devising a supplement, with page breakdown, sourcing cover images and writing cover lines (how to do this without knowing the content I've no idea), suggesting 'brand extensions' (whatever they are), critiquing the latest issue (could go very wrong, depending on which bits I pick on)...

Collymollypuff · 04/10/2016 11:03

Do you want us all to come round with gin to help, Herbs? Grin Glad your arse is better. Maybe that could be a feature, with a cover line? And pix?

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 04/10/2016 11:19

I certainly think 'I had to pawn my belonging for expensive fanny cream' has a certain ring to it Grin

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 11:28

Another t-shirt?

'Teaching people to read and write pays so badly I've had to pawn my son's toys to buy expensive fanny cream'

GiddyGiddyGoat · 04/10/2016 12:36

Yup, definitely a feature length article right there Herbs. Illustrated with many pix (of toys, arse, fanny cream etc and not forgetting the sad faces - of you, ds, the learners...)
Can we make any more helpful suggestions?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 04/10/2016 12:37

You can use a pic of me with a sad face if that would help?

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 12:41

This is so far off the mag's content it's most amusing. I can't say in public the nature of the mag, in case someone else better than me applies as well...

GiddyGiddyGoat · 04/10/2016 12:51

Country Life? Caravanning Weekly? Chicken Fancying for Beginners? Crochet and Tatting World? Something else beginning with C?

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 13:17

The first one is closest, but not that close. No Cs involved.

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 14:15

First one is closest, but no cigar. Or even a packet of Sovereign.

herbaceous · 04/10/2016 14:16

Gah! Where did those posts go?

From whence does your inkle hail, MI?

Cremolafoam · 04/10/2016 14:18

Oh herbs, am laundering my pompoms for you! Rah rah rah!
The mag is obviously
Offshore Oil Weekly. An interesting rag if ever I saw one.Grin
Also loving red since recent Ruby Woo purchase now insists on red or hints of same. ZAra has some nice bits that I cant afford. Smashinh fro k MI.Smile
I am like the Walling Dead today. Total Zombie. Incredible multi decade dreams for the last few nights pretty epic, but gosh I do not feel rested at all.
Mrs W reclaim the space and lack of drama. And breathe.Smile

wordassociationfootball · 04/10/2016 14:23

I think I've been to Inklehail.

I was recommending the downstairs cream to my friend last night based on your experiences, Herbs.

I should have been ironing out story problems in an episode of something today, so obviously I made Hugh Fearnley Whatsit's squash and lentil curry and practiced doing squeezy pancakes of dd2's name instead (birthday tomorrow) and now I'm A Bit Tired and disappointed in self and just know the gym is going to fall by the wayside.

Stropps your weekend with DD sounds lovely.

My sister says the new Ken Loach is a excellent and a weepathon.

wordassociationfootball · 04/10/2016 14:25

I too am attending Rose's Read.

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/10/2016 14:31

I am rather hoping for Colonic Irrigation Weekly, following my enormous dinner last night.
