Sorry for mysterious triple post Confused

Been sick of the hideous things for years. Almost nobody looks good in them and the few who do manage it in spite of the ugliness, not because of it. They are fucking vile.

FunkinEll · 05/09/2016 20:59

niminypiminy I have a similar pair of jeans from all saints (via eBay) I think they might even be men's although I bought them as boyfriend jeans. Might be worth looking there, they're a really nice denim.

Also, uniqlo were doing a selvedge Jean last year that were similar.

Snapandcrackle · 06/09/2016 01:10

I have been looking for a pair of non stretch jeans for ages. I have never done skinnies. I bought some jeans for my five year old from Boden and thought they looked promising so I tried the age 12 for me. They are the best jeans ever, and cheap too!

I am very interested in the Levi's on this thread though, maybe I will start wearing adult clothes again ..

Wordsalad · 06/09/2016 01:46

I've actually been patching my old jeans while the skinny mania persists, it can't last forever surely? Never thought I'd be taking up needle and thread to my jeans again , something I haven't done in decades.

SeaRabbit · 06/09/2016 14:04

For those who asked about the Community Clothing jeans, they started out using Kickstarter - so I committed to buying the jeans if enough other people did, so paid via that. After that we exchanged emails with details of my size and address.

SeaRabbit · 06/09/2016 14:11

I think anyone who wants to order just needs to send an email registering an interest and they take it from there.:

communityclothing.co.uk/contact/

it seems a bit steam driven but they have just started. Someone on Facebook said she is normally a 14 but was advised to order a 10, and they are too small. I measured myself as they advised, chose size 8 & they fit perfectly.

KatharinaRosalie · 06/09/2016 14:42

I hate skinnies. I'm a size 10 with strong, muscular legs and honest to god I look like I'm walking on 2 stuffed sausages when I have skinnies on.
I really hope that Mom jeans won't be the next skinnies though. No they are not flattering, they make your arse look humungous and squeeze the belly together into a mum-tum even if you don't have one. Hence the name, I guess..

I have a great pair from Hilfiger that's nice straight leg and just the right raise, but of course the minute I find something that fits, they will make sure they'll stop producing it..

Cellardoor23 · 06/09/2016 16:12

I'm getting sick and tired of trousers in general. I have Jeggings as they are the only ones that will fit over my massive bum. If I can get jeans over my thighs it's an achievement.

TheDowagerCuntess · 06/09/2016 19:28

Is just depressing going into shops that stock jeans, and seeing walls of skinnies, super skinnies and jeggings, and nothing else.

heateallthebuns · 06/09/2016 22:16

What boots would you wear with Levi's 501/505 in the winter?

Or with cropped jeans?

So there's no gap - my ankles get cold.

FunkinEll · 08/09/2016 13:38

heateallthebuns I wear them with trainers and visible socks, or desert boots or converse high tops. The latter two with a small roll up like this.

ImYourWomanJonSnow · 11/09/2016 21:27

heate I wear mine with blundstone boots mostly.

olderthanyouthink · 11/09/2016 22:07

I love skinny jeans... Those of you with the saggy bottom problem, try dealing with your arse being bigger than the high street average so everything is too tight across it, else too loose every where else.

And denim with no stretch just gets baggy and loose.

Statelychangers · 12/09/2016 09:49

I'm currently loving M&S relaxed slim - I wear them more loose fitting than the model on the website - more slouchy
