I am hungover. I am also undertaking a 'webinar'. The two are not compatible.

bigTillyMint · 09/09/2016 12:25

Sitting with a coffee in the city whilst DS has his interview - he looks so grown up in suit trousers and shirt, but really skinny after masses of footy/training and getting all my body is a temple. Will have to get him new school trousers I think. Grrr!

Collymollypuff · 09/09/2016 13:33

Feck, I wish my ds would get all "my body is a temple". Maybe he will this year, while his gf is working abroad. She is bloody hopeless from a healthy diet point of view - very fussy; mainly eats Jacobs crackers. Hmm

Blackduck · 09/09/2016 13:34

What's the interview for BTM?

motherinferior · 09/09/2016 13:48

My body is occasionally a temple of Bacchus.

Collymollypuff · 09/09/2016 14:03

My body currently has the rotundity of the re-built St Paul's.

Cremolafoam · 09/09/2016 14:09

My body is a Temple of Doom.

< being all negative n shit>

bigTillyMint · 09/09/2016 14:21

Haha Molly - reminds me of when the DC were at nursery - that was the snack of choice!

BD, for his work experience. He said it was a proper interview and she was marking down what he said! But it's all good - he has a placement in Catering - in the staff café! Grin so is made up to be finishing at 2.30 (starts at 8!) each day so plenty of time to get to footy training!

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 09/09/2016 14:38

How can anyone enjoy Jacobs crackers? Aren't those the ones that suck the moisture out of your mouth the minute you look at them.

Here DS is at home; well we managed two days and we'll have to see what happens next week when actual lessons start. I can't even mention school without him saying 'Can we not talk about that please?'. It's not the school or the friends at all, I think it's a bit like someone shouting Swahili at you underwater and expecting you to take notes. Stropps, can I come to your seminar on Saturday afternoon? (I wonder if someone from ds's school will be there?)

Hope Miss Stropps gets off to Brizzle and Bon Voyage Crem.....see you on the other side.

My body is a temple to the lovely steak & chips & salad lunch I have just had.

Will be thinking of you all tomorrow night - I wish I could have come, but plans for going away were so up in the air until about a week or so ago.

THIS is a very funny/silly thread if anyone wants/needs some light relief

bigTillyMint · 09/09/2016 15:07

Dunno, Beachy, but the DC still remember them fondly!

Do you think he has undiagnosed SpLD? Or is it an anxiety thing? Or both?

DD just rang - got one of her remarks back and has gone up a grade!

Blackduck · 09/09/2016 15:35

Here first week back survived. Now on train down to see ddad/eat curry.....

My other body is a temple....

Rosebag · 09/09/2016 16:19

My body is a shrine and testament to scones and cake....I have had a terrible week eating wise and have completely fallen off the SW wagon Shock

Sorry Beachy you must be quietly going up the wall, Flowers Wine There may well be something in what Tilly says. xxx

Molly My DS2 is like that, but with rice cakes...he's an appalling eater and it shows....

Well done to DS, Tilly*. Is catering a field he wants to go in to? I thought he was football mad!

Stropps this is progress... Smile Fingers crossed.
Rudy How is DS?

Crem I guess you are leaving to fly with a bit of a heavy heart about DDad but Crepeys will look after you. I can't wait to see you and everyone, but may come a little later...I'm not good with booze/cocktails as you know but I can eat for England of course Although I can't remember what I ordered.. Hmm Blush Crem Have you got a list??

Mixed day, with mad domesticity and then an afternoon working feverishly on arrangements for the Play Reading. Am visiting the theatre venue next week to tie everything up and sign the contract. Sexy Young Director is working on a "Directors Version" of the script (whatever that is) But I don't know what to do about ConS. Something is wrong and he hasn't been in contact since the beginning of the school hols. even though I have it on good authority that he's been teaching DD How to handle this, Crepeys? Confused Angry Hmm

Now back to mad cooking, as DS1 is coming for Fri night dinner... DD is on a day off on Fridays and we now have her full time table which includes 2 hours each of Maths and English per week for retakes. The tutors come in from a local FE college so it's very well organised. She has three and a half days of back to back classes plus two evenings of rehearsals. Quite full on and she already has an October date for her first assessment Shock

bigTillyMint · 09/09/2016 16:34

Rose, he has no idea what he wants to do! He is footy mad, but frankly any sort of practical work experience (ie not filing in some fusty office) would be fine!

Ring him and check he is OK?

BD, phew!

Lalsy · 09/09/2016 16:49

BD Grin at my other body is a shrine. Hope weekend is OK.

No shrines here but Magi it would be really nice to meet you - we should do that Kipling outing and we can all feed our temples with cake.

Cremolafoam · 09/09/2016 16:56

Printed out in case of confusion

Collymollypuff · 09/09/2016 17:00

Oh, Lalsy, thank you for that list. I couldn't remember. Blush I am likely to arrive just after seven, but don't hold off on the cocktails on my account, laydeez. Grin

Collymollypuff · 09/09/2016 17:01

Crem, surely they should welcome you as an exotic tourist from forrin.

MontserratCaballe · 09/09/2016 17:18

Hello!

Exhausted today and falling apart - cold sore, stye, spots, etc etc - I am a veritable catch. Will try to scrub up for tomorrow. I think I should be there about 7ish. Depends when I can escape.

In S and B news, I left my slut shoes at work, can't get Into planned dress and about as glamorous as a sack of spuds. But I am hugely looking forward to seeing everyone and having fun Wine.

Can't be arsed to cook kids' supper. WIBU to drive to chip shop?

Rosebag · 09/09/2016 17:32

Trust me to order a cheese starter and a cheese dessert... Grin Love it.

I am pondering what to do about ConS...last contact was being copied in on an email about 3 weeks ago. Last convo was on the phone at the beginning of the summer holiday. He is not responding to emails....I am doing ALL the work Angry I feel like sending a text saying " Why have you forsaken me" but that's too dramatic, and if I phone Ill just lose my rag...Angry

Monty you'll look fab in whatever. Looking forward to a catch up. Yes, get thee down the chippy Grin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 09/09/2016 17:33

No Monty. Do it - no effort and they will love you. Win win innit.

motherinferior · 09/09/2016 17:49

Wot GGG said. I am going to grab early supper and go up to folk gig up Norf Lunnon. DD1 dining chez boyf. No idea what DP will produce for him and DD2 though I hazard a guess it will be his standby of pasta/pesto/tuna/peas which I have refused to eat EVER AGAIN.

Collymollypuff · 09/09/2016 17:50

Lol, Monty, I can't get into planned skirt. Boohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Too feckin fat. Grin However I am cheery. being well-fed
