I'm after a proper old fashioned denim mini (not too mini though!) skirt, straight not A-line and no buttons. I realise that this is far from being 'in' but I like them.

I also want some really lovely big scarves - ideally a burnt orange one, a bright pink one and a red one.

Also, a pleated red skirt and the perfect grey v neck jumper.

You?

No, but I was looking at it online earlier wondering if it would do!

Gillybobs · 20/08/2016 20:09

A black dress for work that has full length sleeves and pockets. A navy boat neck slouchy sweater that won't bobble. Black ankle boots with a mid height heel and enough detail to look semi dressy.

QueenoftheAndals · 20/08/2016 20:10

ANY top or dress with long sleeves rather than this 3/4 length crap!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/08/2016 20:11

Tit (Can I call you that?!) - I will try to have a look and report back.

If you're going to test-drive jumpers for me you can call me whatever you like!

I've spent at least 2 years looking for the perfect cream/oatmeal cardigan. Slightly chunky but not too thick, bum length, slouchy but doesn't look too big. Preferably with wooden buttons.
Everyone i've tried is too shapeless / itchy / long / short / thick.

I am also on the never ending search for the perfect autumn coat. Not too warm (i have 2 parkas for proper winter) not too light. Not black or khaki, but a nice bright colour. The search continues.....

burnishedsilver · 20/08/2016 20:17

Thanks Remus. I'm definately going to try that one on :-)

MilkyChops · 20/08/2016 20:19

Rust, Mustard and Burgundy pinafores.

Brown brogues.

Black victorian lace up boots.

Chunky knit cardigans.

LemonDr1zzle · 20/08/2016 20:36

I have the perfect red pleated skirt for you Remus.

For myself, I'm refraining from shopping whilst we're going through a redundancy Sad

QueenoftheAndals · 20/08/2016 20:41

That skirt is gorgeous but I wish it was knee length rather than midi.

SimplyNigella · 20/08/2016 20:41

Gilly would this work for you? It's my favourite work dress at the moment, smart enough for my very corporate office but with sleeves and pockets:
www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-dresses/day-dresses/ww107/womens-cressida-dress

(in black, not the print. Obviously).

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/08/2016 20:44

I like that, Lemon, but ideally want a darker red and heavier fabric. Not sure how to describe it but it's lovely in my head!

I want some tan leather low heeled ankle boots, a pale grey slouchy cashmere cowl neck ( I had a biscuit coloured one last winter that didn't cool) and a tweed jacket.

Judydreamsofhorses · 20/08/2016 20:46

Thanks wit but that doesn't look quite warm enough - I'm in northeast Scotland! remus Whistles has one which looks fab, but not quite long enough. I think they will get more in though, they usually do a couple, and that Grazia code should come up next month.

RebelandaStunner · 20/08/2016 20:54

Cream cashmere v-neck jumper.
New boots not sure which ones until I see them iyswim.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/08/2016 20:58

Judy This is mine. Love it.

The perfect mustard yellow cable knit jumper. Not too short, not oversized just right. My friend has a sainsburys one that's several years old and I'm green with envy whenever she wears it!

A new coat to suit my new Mum status, I don't even know what I'm looking for but I'll know when I see it. I have a parka and a waterproof so thinking something long and wool that doesn't dwarf me (5"2)

I like everything Oasis have in stock which is unfortunate for my bank balance....

RipMacWinkle · 20/08/2016 21:00

I'd like some tan low ankle boots too!

I'd also like a decent going out outfit that's not black or flashing lots of skin. I'm nearly 40 with colouring like Caspar.

SimplyNigella · 20/08/2016 21:02

On my wish list:

  • Flat, tan knee or over the knee boots that don't make me look like I'm wearing wellies. These used to be my staple AW boot style but since having DS they look terrible on me and I think I need to accept that it's me that has changed, not the boots. I'm the same weight I was pre-DS but nothing seems to fit the same.
  • Full, knee length skirts (not midi) to wear with the above boots. Again, this style used to suit me much more than in now does, but I'm going to give them one last try this season.
  • Slouchy V neck jumpers, I've also been looking at the M&S jumpers but really want greens, ideally a bright grass green and a darker olive
  • Longline tank tops for layering, By Malene Birger does the very best of these and although they are expensive I have some that are 7 years old and still going strong
  • The perfect striped top. I have an ultra clear picture in my head but have never found it in reality- white, extra long sleeves, very thin and widely spaced black stripes, boat or slash neck.
hollieberrie · 20/08/2016 21:10

Ooh i like that Boden dress Nigella.

SimplyNigella · 20/08/2016 21:17

I'm going to buy another 2 as I am wearing it so obsessively- to work, out to dinner and planning to dress down for Autumn with flat boots and a cardigan. I wish they did it in another plain colour as I'm not a fan of the prints.

hollieberrie · 20/08/2016 21:20

Yes looks very versatile. Not a fan of the patterns either - navy or forest green or dark grey would be nice.
Do you need a vest / cami underneath? It looks quite low cut.
And i see it comes in Petite - i might be sold Grin

SimplyNigella · 20/08/2016 21:25

I have been wearing one to work but not outside of, it's not too low but at risk of an accidental flash when bending over. I love the Me+Em invisible camis as they give the necessary modesty whilst not being that noticeable as I hate camis that ruin the shape of necklines.

Pippin8 · 20/08/2016 21:30

I've started my Autumn/Winter wardrobe already.

I have Tan Chelsea boots, a forest green dress & a leopard print A line skirt.

I really want a few scarves, a navy one & a jade green one. A black jersey, long sleeved polo neck, I have the perfect one but I've had it years & little holes have started to appear in it. And a few oversized comfy jumpers.
