You have definitely not got what was advertised.

Can you not go down to the salon in person and say " look at what you advertise, now compare it to what you've given me."

Fwiw, I think glossy, thick, well conditioned extensions look lovely. As long as you can't see the connecting bits! You aren't too old st 30 for them. I do think you need to make a hell of a fuss about what they've given you as they really don't look great. Or else, cut your losses and get them redone somewhere reputable and probably v ££

Whatdowedo · 15/08/2016 09:17

The shop is 1 1/2 drive away.
I went into the city rather than stick to my local town as I assumed they would be more proffesional.
I may as well of bought the cheapy tacky ones from eBay

Email them/her explain you are not happy in no uncertain terms and ask if they would like to provide you with proof of the product they used and what they plan to do about it.

I'll compose an email for you to cut and paste if you're not confident ? That's too much money to be going down the drain and if we are taking the ethical point of view it's some poor Bugger has sold her hair for nothing if you aren't at least happy with it, like throwing away meat it just seems wrong.

Sallystyle · 15/08/2016 10:36

Seriously, you think yours are bad

I can't believe I'm posting this disaster....

The front looked lovely. The blending job is good huh? Hmm

u2 Shock

Sallystyle · 15/08/2016 10:45

Yeah. No words really.

I was quite pleased with them at first.. well when I just concentrated on the front Grin

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 15/08/2016 11:15

I have easilocks - they are great. They come in 18 and 22 inch and look lovely - hair extensions can look nice if fitted properly by someone who knows what they are doing and you have to look after them carefully too using correct shampoo etc

Tell her you want a refund - and then get some proper easi locks.

JillyTheDependableBoot · 15/08/2016 11:51

I can't believe that after forking out £400 you aren't prepared to go back and say you're not happy Shock

Whatdowedo · 15/08/2016 12:00

I've put a few waves in and they look a little better I guess

I've got some but felt the same - I ended up having them trimmed by a hair dresser to a shorter length - made them look a bit softer and more natural - still longer than my natural hair but not inches and inches longer if that makes sense

JonahAndTheSale · 15/08/2016 12:09

They do look better when styled.

If you are happy with them and they feel good that's ok. Do you feel they are worth £400?

Can I just ask how they are attached to your hair? Is it glue? Are they permanent!

Whatdowedo · 15/08/2016 12:13

No they aren't glue they are mini locks ..so no damage to your own hair apparently.
After 12-14 weeks you go back and they re apply them.
Think I'm going somewhere else for a fresh set tho

OP posts:
Whatdowedo · 15/08/2016 12:14

No I don't feel they are worth £400 If I'm honest

OP posts:
Whatdowedo · 15/08/2016 12:15

Yeah why it does
I feel better now I've trimmed them and think they look a little better with the wave ..you can't see where my hair ends and those begin

polyhymnia · 15/08/2016 16:10

I don't like extensions at all and do think they're tacky. At least, those I'm aware of. Those done by top professional salons no doubt aren't noticeable as extensions anyway.

But then tbh I don't personally really like very long hair that just sits there being long anyway. Prefer something with shape and style - even edgy style. Or at very least a messy bun - which I suppose you can do with extensions?

Even if I did like very long hair, though, if I'd paid £400 for those, I'd be back like a shot

HotNatured · 15/08/2016 18:57

I'd be back in a heartbeat. If you don't want to travel there send the salon an email addressed to the manager stating that you are not satisfied with the quality of the extensions and that they are not as advertised as they will note by the attached photos (attach the photos you have shown us (pre curling them obviously)).

Explain how you have treated the extensions since having them applied, ie as per the hairdresser's instructions.

Say that you would like to discuss rectifying the issue at their earliest convenience.

Good luck

Whatdowedo · 15/08/2016 19:10

I sent her the second photo I posted on here yesterday to her salon page and she responded
That they looked perfectly normal to her,she said obviously they dry out as does natural hair.
I'm confused maybe I'm wrong I just don't know

I'd defo go back if you're not happy that's a lot of money to part with and not be totally chuffed with them. They do look lovely after you've styled them but you shouldn't have had all that worry over them. Fwiw though I'm sure I read in one of your posts that you let it dry naturally, I have had extensions for years and I find if I let mine dry naturally they're very dry and 'woolly' looking but if I blow dry them with a product and a round barrel brush they're like different extensions. I think it's the hair cuticles need to be smoothed down for a sleek look. I'd always blow dry even if I'm gonna curl it as again the curls are smoother.
If they're easilocks I'm not surprised you're having problems with them, I had them in 2 years ago they fell out every day from 3 hours after I got them in, went back numerous times and they were always too busy to deal with me eventually just gave up, took them out and now have micro beads applied by my own hairdressers who is fab and I love them

Whatdowedo · 16/08/2016 13:13

(Boring hair update )Bought another deep conditioning treatment and left it on overnight ..feeling so much better

It depends what hair extensions you buy. For instance, I bought Russian deluxe extensions . They're natural and not expensive. My friends envy me :)
