Apologies, wrong pic Wink

Let's start again... Mean to say that I have used up 5/13 products.

I used up a Missha perfect Cover BB cream sample during my trip. #21 is the perfect shade for me and I used it as concealer, so it lasted for a full week. I quite like this and might use it as my day to day base when I'm done with other similar products I already own.

I often overshop when I travel. This time, I did not binge purchase cosmetics. Nothing from Kiko (decided to be good and finish some lipsticks first). I just bought what I really needed: a No 7 tubing mascara and Sally Hansen top coat.

Great progress ladies!!!

kwick · 17/09/2016 19:31

I have two empties to report - both from my 13 by Halloween list Grin

  • Evain facial spray - great for drying out spots on my back
  • Floracologie bed of roses bath soak - got free, having been using to wash my bras... Not my favourite bath soak
AnotherPinkiePieStory · 17/09/2016 19:49

Good work people.
I've hired a hot tub for DH birthday weekend so showering 3 times a day which is helping use things up at least!
frugal you did well to resist. I doubt I would have.

usernameinfinito · 17/09/2016 20:41

Well done everyone! I have finished a can of hair spray and a bar of soap.
Have lots of soap left!
I have also hit pan in one eye shadow. Smile and I have used half of a 50ml jasmine perfume.

MrsDilligaf · 17/09/2016 21:37

12 bf Christmas sounds great! I'll join after Halloween Wink

Forgot to say that I also bought a full-size and a travel-size can of Batiste

MrsDilligaf · 18/09/2016 13:48

Oh Kwick Sad I'm sorry Flowers

It took me a long time to fall pregnant with DD and although we didn't go through IVF (we were very much on that route though) it is hard when you hold on to that hope and nothing comes of it.

Xxx

(And I don't care that hugs and kisses are all but banned on Mumsnet!)

Soooo

My 12 Beauties of Christmas are:

  1. Liz Earle - Cleanse and Polish
  2. Clinique - Clarifying Lotion
  3. Clinique - Take the Day Off
  4. Estee Lauder - ANR Eye Cream
  5. Elemis - Pro Collagen Marine Cream
  6. Branche D'Olive - Shampoo
  7. Branche D'Olive - Conditioner
  8. Avon - Premiere Blush Perfume
  9. Lancome - Lion D'Or Eyeshadow
  10. Lancome - Black Eyeliner Pencil
  11. Soap and Glory - Butter Me Up
  12. Soap and Glory - Hand Cream
  13. Elvive - Hair Serum

All of these have been on the go for a while but remind me of the bloody Elemis Pro-Radiance Cleanser that took me a million years to use up. I'm determined to get through them!

Finished a John Frieda brilliant brunette shampoo. I'd been using it with the Aussie conditioner I finished a few days ago.

Hadn't replaced the conditioner.

Tresseme keratin smooth shampoo and conditioner in the shower ready for use!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 18/09/2016 16:17

kwick how rough for you. In/fertility is a cruel mistress. Sending lots of Flowers Brew and Sephora mini samples. Tough times call for lipstick and scent. Hope you and OH are ok

kwick · 18/09/2016 19:40

LOL another I am staying away from scent at the mo as my skin has flared up (probably a side effect from progesterone which is part of IVF "aftercare"). No OH here - I am a single lady Grin

Well done with your list mrs! I have started mine but still choosing - it is a fine line with in getting good variety on there but being realistic too.

Well done eme!

dogdaydisaster · 19/09/2016 10:41

Sorry to hear that kwik.

You asked re Sephora -I'm in the UK (London) but am in the US and/or France most years so tend to plan a visit. The primer I used up was from my Easter trip to Florida.

I finished a REN night cream over the weekend, was really pleased to get rid, it was so blah and didn't smell nice at all.

So my 13 for Halloween:

Bare minerals lipstick
-Tarte mascara-done
Body shop camomile cleanser
Liz Earle body lotion
RM DNA renewal eye cream -done
Talika day cream
Philosophy shower gel
REN retinol night cream -done
Bourjois pink liquid lipstick
Elemis apricot toner
Rodial facial oil
-Light blue perfume- done
Tata Harper mini rejuvenating serum

So 5/13 done. And a few that should be done in the next couple of weeks. I have doubts about finishing the lipsticks, and the rodial oil is in an opaque bottle so I have no idea how much is left. I've had it for 18 months so it must be nealry done!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 19/09/2016 22:42

Nice work dogday. I fear many of mine are going to get onto xmas list. Nearly finished my bath and body works 3 wick summer candle. Needs to be finished before leaves drop. They are amazing but only in America so I order on eBay about 4x year. Have my Autumn one ready to go!
kwick hope you're feeling better. I imagine it must be tough but you sound amazing.

usernameinfinito · 20/09/2016 00:13

I am sorry to hear that kwick Hope you are feeling better.

dogdaydisaster · 20/09/2016 09:10

I finally finished the philosophy shower gel. it was a huge bottle of pure grace summer scent, very coconutty so it was time to go.

So 6/13 done.

kwick · 20/09/2016 14:34

Thank all you lovely ladies. Itchiness us driving me INSANE. Will see what fertility consultant says today if not will try and see GP. I am alao going to switch my washing powder today and have a milk bath in an attempt to soothe my skin.

kwick · 20/09/2016 19:17

NEWSFLASH: Sephora is coming back to the UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

applesandpears33 · 20/09/2016 20:06

Went away for the weekend and finished off a few things - shower gel, lipstick and handcream. Success!

MotherofPearl · 20/09/2016 20:54

Well done on all the empties!
Kwick, that is indeed very exciting news! Good thing for my bank balance (not to mention the size of my existing hoard) that I live in the NW and not London!
I finished a Clinique cleanser a few days ago. And a deodorant, come to think of it.

Ememem84 · 20/09/2016 21:44

I'm tweaking my list see attached.
