Ok, be honest. Are white jeans awful?

Every summer I covet a pair of white jeans to hopefully look like this photo. I can never seem to find them. I order lots of pairs online but they all seem to be baggy on the back of my thighs and look really frumpy! I'm usually a size 10 but have a big womanly bottom so maybe that's my problem.
Am I deluded? Are white jeans really naff? Think I've lost all confidence with clothes since turning 40!
Any advice from you stylish people gratefully received.

I'm totally going to wear my white jeans today after this thread . Anyway, mine are about 4 years old, coated from Zara with ankle zips (ankle length skinnies). I wear with baggy tops, probably a grey A&F t I bought last year in the US. And trainers.

I am wearing my white skinnies with a thin chambray shirt and navy trainers.

Photos anyone ? Oh go on, you know you want to .

I live in mine in the summer, lovely and fresh looking with a loose, semi tucked shirt. If you find a pair you like, buy two - decent ie non-see through white skinnies are rare as hen's teeth, well they were when I was looking.

I wear mine with plain loose t shirts usually or a loose shirt of some sort. Massimo dutti fit me well. I'm a 12 and a short arse but do have lean pins...

I think good white jeans are actually more flattering than grey or cream. I felt great in mine today

White jeans are my summer staple - I'm 40+. Nothing looks better with chambray. More photographic evidence here

Love them. Wear them with camel/gold, lime green, navy or grey.
