I've thrown my Converse in the bin. What white trainers??

So I'm currently in London on a mini break and have spent 2 days with my feet killing. Bloody Converse are so so uncomfy on me, they pinch my toes despite buying a half size larger. I've put gel insoles in but to no avail.

The light grey and blue was the only colourway they had in stock in my size (9, or 10 if you''re American, 44 if you're European), but every time I've bought white or light coloured shoes in the past I've ruined them in days. The very helpful shop assistant checked which colours they stocked and I ordered the blue ones. These look so good I can't help but glance down at them every couple of minutes. Hmm :o I've never bought shoes before purely for the way they look; it's always been about whether they're hardwearing and comfortable in that order.

I've got white converse and superga. I bought some beauties from tesco today . They are super comfy without socks and look just like Stan smiths ( I found these really stiff!!) so I'm happy with them for everyday wear when it's too cold for sandals .

The jigsaw ones are just brilliant for this 40 something - I wore them with a black dress and a leather jacket today and harems yesterday - so versatile. They felt expensive when I bought them but feel so much more stylish in the than my cons or superga! X

Love this thread! Also looking for a similar pair of trainers. Never found my converse comfortable, was reluctant to buy another pair. I also have 3 pairs of Cath Kidston plimsoll/trainer shoes, wouldn't buy again, the soles are way too thin.
