I've thrown my Converse in the bin. What white trainers??

So I'm currently in London on a mini break and have spent 2 days with my feet killing. Bloody Converse are so so uncomfy on me, they pinch my toes despite buying a half size larger. I've put gel insoles in but to no avail.

To do a gif. Search for it "eye roll gif"on google images. Make sure it's actually a gif. Save to your phone or whatever. Then add like you would a photo.

I've just been past the Superga shop in Camden but the place was heaving and my feet were too sore to be arsed Wink I've ordered some online now but still fancy Adidas too. The vibe I'm getting is sod the age wear what you like? So I will! Thanks for all the recommendations you're ace Wine

Kr1stina I love that look, so simple yet so stylish. Some women just have it don't they whatever that is? I don't sadly but I'll keep trying Blush

My adidas gazelles are super comfy and nice and slimline.

Superga are really comfy too. I managed to pick up a cream waffle fabric pair in TK Maxx for £20. I was delighted with myself. Perfect for summer in the city

DailyMailAreAFuckingJoke · 08/05/2016 18:56

I may have to try Supergas. I have really tried with my Converse - I love the look of them but fucking hell they shred my pinky toes everytime I wear them. I've had shoe trees in them to try and help stretch them out - no difference.

P1nkP0ppy · 08/05/2016 19:07

Tried both, paid for it with blisters galore.
At least the charity shop will benefit!

Kr1stina · 08/05/2016 19:45

I probably don't have " it " either honey , but I'm damned if I'm going to stop trying Grin

longlivetheking · 08/05/2016 19:47

I just got the Adidas all white Superstars and I'm happy with them comfort wise even though I never thought I'd find anything as comfy as my Nike Thea's!

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 08/05/2016 19:51

Hate converse. So pinchy. Superga are very comfy, as are my ash hi-tops.

PoppyAmex · 08/05/2016 19:52

Hey JackandDiane, I was born and identify as European - continental European, if you want to be pedantic...

As opposed to... er... you know... all the other continents. I think even your mate Cheryl would get that Grin

Honeyandfizz · 09/05/2016 07:48

DrRanj & Dailymail Thats exactly the same as me, i love the look but bloody hell they are so uncomfy. We must have covered 10 miles in London over the weekend and today my poor pinky toes are killing!

Loving the look of the Golden Goose trainers but bloody hell how much?!

So it looks like Superga and Adidas are top of the list.

Ta all x

You need converse ev ox player . They have a padded bit at the back and are much more comfy than traditional cons but still have the styling . I have tricky feet !

EchoJuliet · 09/05/2016 12:16

These are amazing - so comfy and go well with everything!

bishboschone · 09/05/2016 13:15

^^ They look lovely ! .

SymbollocksInteractionism · 09/05/2016 13:33

Another vote for Nike roche.

JamieVardysParty · 09/05/2016 15:05

Thousand percent Nike AF1s.

Only shoes which have never rubbed my feet, given me blisters or hurt my arches.

FankEweVeryMuch · 09/05/2016 15:06

I bought adidas court vantage for summer and they're lovely. A bit less clumpy than Stan smiths but somehow much more comfortable on my wide foot.

Honeyandfizz · 10/05/2016 05:42

Echojuliet I love the Ayda ones too although have only seen them on the internet, so simple and stylish. Loving the Adidas court vantage too and the Nike Roche, oh blimey so many nice trainers to chose from maybe I can have a pair for each day of the week...!

Do you add all wear these without socks? "" or a trainer sock, my feet would die Sad

KittyKrap · 10/05/2016 07:28

I wore the slip on Vans with a trainer sock and my feet were ripped to shreds. DP, now DH was horrified and urged me to go combat (!) in them - perfect.

ScrambledSmegs · 10/05/2016 09:51

I like those, DoctorTwo! I've got my eye on these but have a new pair of Superga (the aforementioned don't like my feet shoes) and can't justify buying them Sad

IJustLostTheGame · 10/05/2016 10:18

Sing it with me now:
Slip on van van van vans, van van van vans, vaneddy vaaaaans

My feet are too broad for converse, I got a blister on my little toe every time I wore them.

citychick · 10/05/2016 11:45

I'm in the adidas and superga camp too.

Gazelles are light and very comfy. I wear orthotics and the back of the shoe is deep enough so my feet don't slip out.
I also have a pair of Supergas that have a slightly wedged insert. Cushioning at the front and deep padded wedge at the back. Means they are not so flat. Bliss. Think they are quite a new range by Superga.

Vans slip one I find too narrow. Superga do slip ons.

Converse look cool, but they are narrow and too flat. They Are like the taxi shoes of the trainer world IMO.

MsBojangles · 10/05/2016 13:45

The sole on the Cons are so thin and flimsy I could feel every single piece of gravel...like a modern day Princess and the Pea. That combined with my torn heels meant they ended up in the village charity shop after two, very short wears.
