Have you tried saying to DH "I actually want /need you there..." ie, at the appointment at the SCC ? I have the opposite problem. DH wants to come to everything...and I prefer going on my own... is this a call back?

I have had an utter disaster with DDs birthday present for next week. An obscure type of adidas black and gold trainers which I could only get though an apparently French Internet site which turns out to be in China ( go figure) and they have sent a pair of bright blue men's trainers which are completely wrong with no delivery note. Feck.
