Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

One step at a time herbs. Let the dust settle over the Facebook thing. It might be a storm in a teacup in the long run. What I know is this...unless you're really on the breadline, doing a job that makes you unhappy and feel undervalued is the worse option. The earning thing in a month compared with a day...well, you and me both, kiddo. Flowers nil desperandum. Something will come up for you. You'll see.

So sorry, MrsS about the kitten. I no longer have pets but have had many in my time and loving them is painful when they have to go, however they go.
Have you tried saying to DH "I actually want /need you there..." ie, at the appointment at the SCC ? I have the opposite problem. DH wants to come to everything...and I prefer going on my own... Hmm is this a call back? Flowers

I have had an utter disaster with DDs birthday present for next week. An obscure type of adidas black and gold trainers which I could only get though an apparently French Internet site which turns out to be in China ( Confused go figure) and they have sent a pair of bright blue men's trainers which are completely wrong with no delivery note. Feck.

Cremo · 18/05/2016 10:25

Oh Rose, bugger.
Can i help search for them online?

Rosebag · 18/05/2016 10:35

crem I couldn't find them on any other site....

www.marquisracing.fr/ay426345-superstar-2-5-shoes-womens-mens-adidas-blackgold-p-820.html she needed a 42. Going MAD...

hattymattie · 18/05/2016 10:44

God Rose - this is why I'm always worried about ordering from anybody except Boden. Have you tried the Adidas France site?

Cremo · 18/05/2016 11:27

Will have a look Rose

Rudy have taken note of request for acomm!!

Cremo · 18/05/2016 12:28

Every colourway but the black and gold. GrrAngry

Rosebag · 18/05/2016 12:31

I know...that was the case when I did the original order. DD had sent me the link to this weird site and I wanted to find a .co.uk site if possible, or use amazon..but I found nothing after googling like mad.! So I succumbed against my better judgement....thanks for trying to help. Aaaarrrrgh!!!! No replies to my emails yet...Hmm

CointreauVersial · 18/05/2016 13:11

Will need a proper catch-up, but just wanted to pick crepey brains.

I'm going to a school reunion at the National Gallery on Friday evening (starts at 6pm) and wanted to meet up with oldest bestie beforehand, for "tea" (some sort of food, but perhaps not a full dinner). Where's nearby/nice/not too pricey?

wordassociationfootball · 18/05/2016 13:15

Rose, would DD provide a 'plan b'? Feel for you, it's rubbish when wecan't go 'ta-da!' for them.

Herbs, if three staff told you, then the horse had properly bolted. OTT HT.
Earnings hits are sh*t.

Crem - please and thank you, I would love to come on Sept 10th.

BTM - 'the chat' she was after, was the sex one. Again. Surely she's supposed to be embarrassed/not want to talk about it with me? Confused

bigTillyMint · 18/05/2016 14:06

I have been here at lunchtime, CV - says open till 8pm, so should be OK?

Rose, get her to choose some others!

WAF, she sounds like a well-prepared young laydee!

Cremo · 18/05/2016 14:31

CV My silly plan in London website suggests:: Terroirs

Or the Bear and Staff pub upstairs 10-12 Bear St, London WC2H 7AS

motherinferior · 18/05/2016 14:42

CV, what about the Nat Gall itself? Or have a falafel at Gaby's...

motherinferior · 18/05/2016 15:14

am also in panic about earnings hit. Though did I mention I am going to Sardinia on Saturday? Grin Admittedly I have to be at Gatwick for 4am but I can grin and bear it.

Blackduck · 18/05/2016 15:54

Portrait gallery café is nice. Or St Martins Crypt....

motherinferior · 18/05/2016 16:49

WAF, Monty, I am having a really silly FB argument with a friend who swears nobody likes school and that none of the girls on Tuesday (of which her DD was one) were excited...

CointreauVersial · 18/05/2016 16:55

Oh I just knew you'd have lots of excellent suggestions. Off to Google....

wordassociationfootball · 18/05/2016 17:00

Hmm - DD2 is saying she wasn't excited. (She was)

bigTillyMint · 18/05/2016 17:05

BD, great mindsWink

bigTillyMint · 18/05/2016 17:17

They're just too cool for schoolWink

Poor DS is back - lost the school footy finalSad Bad timing for them, in the middle of their early GCSES. Still in a couple of other comps though.

CointreauVersial · 18/05/2016 17:28

And I nearly forgot, BF is a coeliac.

Dreamqueen · 18/05/2016 19:33

Sorry to read about the trainer mishap Rose

Sorry to read that so many are having work related stress.

Mi bon voyage, can't wait to read how sardinia was! I'm going there in July.

MrsS hope all goes well at the clinic & new parents for kitten sound lovely.

Lalsy · 18/05/2016 19:39

WAF, my children went to enormous lengths to avoid having The Talk with me. I wonder if I did it wrong Grin. Mind you, both their primary and secondary schools did masses, so maybe sex was like the Tudors and they were fed up with it.

herbaceous · 18/05/2016 19:48

Feeling curiously upbeat after a full day of teaching. Think it's the performer in me.

We have a male version of Stropps, fomenting dissent in the prep room. And I met a tutor who, thanks to the crazy contract, is currently working for nothing at all.

motherinferior · 18/05/2016 20:06

Mine often fancy a chat about childbirth.Shock Tonight they chatted about drugs instead. "Mum, have you ever smoked weed?"

herbaceous · 18/05/2016 20:09

DS's God topic for today - "Mummy, we went to a pentecost service in church today. It's like Harvest Festival, but Jewish." Confused
