GiddyGiddyGoat · 30/04/2016 19:49

Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

Welcome back, Molly. Fancy a Liars' League soon?
Day in bed sounds like an excellent idea, MI.

Blackduck · 09/05/2016 12:58

Hi Molly - good to see you back!

Cremo it is hot hot hot here too and I am stuck in the office...

Did, however, get some barginous black sparkly plimsoles from M&S girls dept (like MI I have little feet....).

Ddad keeps asking when I'm coming down next :(

bigTillyMint · 09/05/2016 13:12

Good to see you back, MollySmile

BD, could be a chance for another MU?

Rosebag · 09/05/2016 14:28

Ah molly I've been worried. Relieved to feel you're surfacing. I must make arrangements to see you when you're ready and return your guide books which have been very helpful. Flowers

cremo if you get SOP to your venue, with enough notice I might be persuaded to make a weekend of it... Blush

Lalsy · 09/05/2016 15:34

Molly, hello, good to see you, glad things back on more even keel.

CointreauVersial · 09/05/2016 16:26

Hey Molly, we missed ya!

Here it is muggy, cloudy and oppressive. As was the atmosphere in the car on the way home from school/work today. My head is pounding, having had one of those top-speed-trying-to-do-1,000-things-at-once kind of days in the office. DD2 fell asleep on the way home she was so pooped, and DD1 has belatedly come down with exam stress (her Science GCSE kicks off next week). Both girls also have colds, and DS is still snotty with hayfever. And it's only Monday.

herbaceous · 09/05/2016 17:49

Hi Molly!

I have an interview for the East End school web/comms job! Yay! On Thursday, at 8.30am! Boo. I have to do a presentation! Boo.

My stomach now only hurts once every couple of hours, rather than once every 15 minutes. Yay! I recommend champagne at one's next-door neighbours as a cure.

addle · 09/05/2016 17:58

Congrats Herbs! Go you and best of luck.

Molly - lovely to see you back. Sorry about the upsets.

Molly/Auriga and anyone else - fancy an NPG outing to see Russian portraits on Subday 22may?

addle · 09/05/2016 17:59

Ps -Beachy - how did it go today?

bigTillyMint · 09/05/2016 18:08

Herbs, go girl!

Yes Beachy, how was it?

And how are things for you, MI - are you in your own house ATM?

Here we were in the middle of circuits outside when the unforcasted torrential downpour occurredAngry!

Rosebag · 09/05/2016 18:10

Sounds good Herbs..., hope it bears fruit Smile

CV oh dear....treat the pounding..things might to look so awful when you haven't got the grandmother of all headaches. Flowers

DD is back after a 6 hour art practical GCSE. Repeat performance tomorrow. Taking it in her stride but she looks grey with tiredness. No revision tonight. She is watching The Simpsons, listlessly. These poor DC.

In other news.... would any Crepey interested in getting involved with the production of The Play please PM me? Nothing burdensome.

motherinferior · 09/05/2016 18:14

I am indeed at home and have done bugger-all today. So I hope I will have the energy to be Normal tomorrow...

bigTillyMint · 09/05/2016 19:00

Glad to hear your DD's Art went OK, Rose.

And that you have done bugger-all today, MI!

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 09/05/2016 19:00

No need for normal just yet, MI.

Well I told most of my peers, those that were in and also the girl who works for me (who is very envious)... Everyone was fine and frankly just a bit jealous I was walking. I needed to get the info out before next week, when the great and the good Merricans arrive en made for the board meeting!

It's all good and to top it all, I've got an 'at large' conversation with someone at a local large very 'naice' employer through a lovely friend of mine Smile God knows how I play that one, or what to wear or how to sit blah blah blah! I shall hold my ground and get the summer off at the very least.....

And relax ....

Lalsy · 09/05/2016 19:40

Beachy, that sounds intriguing - good luck. Summer off - YES. And Herbs, also exciting!

MI, glad you got a day to yourself. Take your time.

Frustrating day here when bit of work I was about to do evaporated - it will come back but I wish I had used unexpected gap more productively. I am very bad at that.

Rose, poor old dd.

Cremo · 09/05/2016 20:04

Oh Rose, that's a long day for dd. My niece is at that as well. Poor childer ! Hope she recovers for tomorrow. Yes , to long weekend here!!
I am actually [drum] Sitting on the deck OUTSIDE. like some kind of miracle weather for NI. People in shorts! People smiling on the bus! People eating lollies. I have Wine even though it's only Monday.

herbs, jolly good luck for Thursday mate. And you Beachy, very good luck for Important Conversation. IMHE you are supposed to be professional, about these informal things and wear biznez gear. I made that mistake once and it lost me a good opportunity..

hattymattie · 10/05/2016 07:24

Morning all - Molly a big hello and welcome back.

Crem - good tip about biznez gear.

Herbs - well done on interview and Beachyy - hope it all goes well.

Well done to mini Rose on her art and best of luck for today. I shall be so glad when exam season is finished.

Grey but tropical here this morning. DD2 had a tantrum because I had actually tidied her shoes from the middle of the kitchen and so it's my fault she nearly missd the bus because she had to run upstairs to get them! Hmm She has tomato red lipstick this morning - I handed her a paper towel and told her to at least blot it as she walked out the door.

Am going to gym now and then am going to clean the shower (the excitement knows no bounds!)

motherinferior · 10/05/2016 08:05

Bugger. Not sure normality isn't g

motherinferior · 10/05/2016 08:06

Bugger. Not sure normality is going to be possible today. But will try.

Lalsy · 10/05/2016 08:19

MI, normality can definitely wait. Nothing will be normal yet.

Hatty, I am looking forward to bin collection today. Top that for excitement.

magimedi · 10/05/2016 08:32

Don't worry about normality, MI. Or rush it.

I am going to Tesco shortly. I reckon I win the excitement stakes.

motherinferior · 10/05/2016 09:41

Apparently the undertaker's assistant looks like one of the Addams Family. My sister is clearly delighted by this.

Rosebag · 10/05/2016 10:00

Is your DMs funeral today Mi ?

motherinferior · 10/05/2016 11:17

No, they're just arranging it now. Don't know when it will be - apparently the crem is quite booked up but there's a place outside Norwich which'll do you almost immediately. The things you learn...

Dad apparently very cross that you can't just phone up the building society and say 'oi, give me the other half share of the house' and fuming about the petty bureaucracy that requires actual presence, at an appointed time, with death certificate.

Auriga · 10/05/2016 12:06

MI, more than six weeks on, we are barely staggering towards some kind of normality here Flowers
