GGG - that white M&S dress is fabulous, but I can't imagine an occasion when I'd be able to wear it. Well, there's no such occasion in my diary, and by the time there is, it won't be available, sod's law.

taybert I got asked if I was pregnant when I wasn't while wearing a very similar Boden dress from a few years ago. I was gutted.

Had a zip through Zara today. It made me very tired. There were a few things I thought nice but it was hard work browsing in it. Does this mean..NO...am I ??? Noooo!

I did see the trousers JackandDiane linked a few pages ago these ones. They looked really lovely. I didn't try on, I would miss the belt loops. If you don't need belt loops they look good.

I got two deliveries today so very exciting. I'm really pleased with the knot t-shirt from Mango and the other tops I got from them will be useful too.

I'm wearing my drapey tshirt today. It helps to detract from my apparently gravid abdomen. Also, these arrived (as recommended on a different thread) and they are really lovely. Luckily they're also quite shiny so they help detract from my apparently gravid abdomen.
I'm completely over that pregnancy accusation by the way. Forgotten all about it.

Glad you're over it, taybert. I had a pregnancy accusation at a work meeting last year, from a woman I'd never met before. I think she felt worse than I did!

I haven't worn a maxi dress/skirt for about twenty years, but I've just ordered this from asos. I'm hoping it will help me to feel summery in a climate where I am unlikely to see too much sun. Am a bit dubious about it but we'll see.

Anyone got any nice shorts? I fancied a pair for holidays and knocking around with small children in hot weather. I tried some in Next today but the ones that fitted my waist were too tight on my thighs. Someone on another thread said the Gap girlfriend ones are good but don't really want denim and the navy ones are sold out in my size. Any recommendations?

I'd also like some shorts - black ones. Haven't really looked yet though. I have some old H&M cotton ones but they are v v short and I'm fatter than I was last year.

Also, what trousers do people wear in summer, if too warm for jeans?

I got some nice cotton shorts on mango outlet. Dirt cheap and a good cut around my ample thighs.

i do like a sheer man style shirt. You need something to actually cover - a point lost on many of the shops!

Try the dreaded BHS for beachwear - always good and half the price of M nd S
