X ray gown, ha! I think of it as mammogram chic. In a grim way.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/04/2016 23:20

Love that, NickDrake

niminypiminy · 30/04/2016 23:28

Ooh I love that apron dress OnlyHere - an apron is pretty near the top of my want list at the moment. Also love the Toast apron dress in its various iterations.

herecomesthsun · 01/05/2016 03:16

only here uniqlo do free returns from some local collection points

MrsCampbellBlack · 01/05/2016 06:16

I have also ordered the ruched skirt in stripes. Am hoping it will look nice with navy silk camisole.

Love your white jacket Jack - may have a look in store this week for it.

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 01/05/2016 09:00

Uniqlo used to offer free collect+ returns but they seem to have stopped it

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 01/05/2016 09:01

Niminy I am sure you look great in an apron dress but the cos one is extreme

herecomesthsun · 01/05/2016 09:15

I returned some Lemaire stuff to Uniqlo by collect and returns in early April, so they were doing it then.

ExConstance · 01/05/2016 10:30

This is the Toast one I want demin pinafore but I won't buy it until I can get into a size 10, and then it will be sold out.

Floisme · 01/05/2016 10:46

I can't make up my mind about Cos. Sometimes the website looks grim but other times I think it looks really cool. I have a jumper of theirs, bought second hand, that looks like a sack on the hanger but drapes on me beautifully.

I've never ordered though - everyone says you need to try on which puts me off. And part of me also thinks that if they're going to open a squillion stores in London and virtually none anywhere else in the uk, that well they can just fuck off.

Wagglebees · 01/05/2016 13:07

I am officially shit at dressing for Summer but managed pretty well last year thanks to S&B. So I'm going to lurk over here with my clipboard and pen.

I do like that ruched skirt but a third of my wardrobe is stripes and not as keen on the other colours. Could be my first ever Boden purchase. Johnny will be pleased he's been harassing me with vouchers for years.

niminypiminy · 01/05/2016 13:28

I've just bought this Uniqlo Lemaire top in black. In my defence I have to say that I'm shopping for an all-black, needs to be high-ish neck, work with a dog collar work wardrobe.

I prefer the Toast pinafores in denim, hemp and linen to the Cos one which I agree is extreme, but they're really expensive. On the other hand something like this is a lot cheaper.

AdoraKiora · 01/05/2016 13:45

I have a colleague who looks great in Cos, but I have never found a single thing that looks good on me. Its not for us titty bang bang-ers, I dont think.

I can't order any more clothes now until end of May - gotta watch the pennies. But will be checking in to see what you lot are getting Grin.

Floisme · 01/05/2016 14:11

I've always thought the same Adora but this jumper's so great I'm revising my opinion. I'm 28F so petite not boob-less.

That Lemaire top is nice but short sleeveed plus floaty is out for me.

SwedishEdith · 01/05/2016 14:34

Uniqlo used to offer free collect+ returns

Still do - get label online.

Tanaqui · 01/05/2016 15:44

I like the look of that uniqlo tee, buts its modal/poly- anyone seen similar in cotton? Have sent back two boden striped ruched skirts for anyone waiting for stock- the stripy wasn't as good on me as the plain black- couldn't get the lines to look flattering on my stomach!

Love the Zara bomber!

Floisme · 01/05/2016 16:13

Has anyone got anything from Kin at John Lewis? Lots of interesting looking shapes but nothing quite right for me so far.

E.g this jumper: Ok not cheap but 100% heavy cotton, hangs beautifully and is even the right shade of navy. But then it goes and ends smack at the chunkiest point on my thighs dammit:

Also just posted this on another thread: 20% off Whistles at John Lewis today if anyone's got their eye on something.

ShinyShinyShiny · 01/05/2016 16:54

I feel the same about Kin, I love the clothes but each one has something that would make it unflattering on me.

niminypiminy · 01/05/2016 17:01

I've had several things from Kin - a couple of really lovely summer dresses last year and an oversized yellow jumper, plus a double-layer jersey pencil skirt. This year I've had this black dress which is very flattering indeed. And though it's polyester the quality of the fabric is great - it is heavy yet with great drape and feels lovely and silky. I've tried on several pieces from their soft tailoring range and thought them all good.

ShinyShinyShiny · 01/05/2016 17:22

niminy is it more flattering IRL than on the model?

niminypiminy · 01/05/2016 17:27

I like to think so, Shiny Smile - I'm not as straight up and down as the model, and I think it flows quite nicely over bust and hips - semi-fitted. But it was the fabric I really fell for. It just feels very nice. And it's well made, too.

ShinyShinyShiny · 01/05/2016 18:01

I might have to try it in that case. I sometimes wonder whether dresses like that look shapeless on models with boyish figures and actually better with more curves. I do love the sound of the fabric and I need more dresses for work and I am easily influenced

RunswickBay · 01/05/2016 18:01

Always know I'm s and b home when I see Mrs Campbell black encouraging us into white jeans!

V tempted by the boden ruched skirt.

ShinyShinyShiny · 01/05/2016 18:10

niminy sorry for phrasing my first post so appallingly, I've just read it back and of course you think it's flattering IRL. Sorry, posting whilst in charge of a toddler doesn't make for the most articulate posts.
