Kate's Clutch Bags

I was reading a bit of a mean article in the Daily Mail (obviously) about how unstylish she was. I don't agree with all of it but i do think the wee teeny clutch bags don't help. I know she can't manage a shoulder bag but maybe something a bit bigger might look better and less buttoned up.

I also can't believe she has tights on she must be roasted!

The main bitchy "drab" article was by Sarah Vine. If I had to share a bed with Michael Gove I'd be pretty poisonous too.

SouthWestmom · 11/04/2016 20:01

I do wonder if it's deliberate, the weirdly billowing dresses. A bit if rebellion maybe? Grin

mrsvilliers · 11/04/2016 20:01

wipsglitter I don't think sandals are slutty either! It was the wrong choice of words, I think I would have felt inappropriate in a work setting would have been a better wording Smile

WipsGlitter · 11/04/2016 20:02

I thought you maybe meant that!! Like too informal!

Went on DM to see white and black dress and now they're slagging off her feet!! God love her, maybe that's why she keeps the toes away, one less thing to criticise.

Annarose2014 · 11/04/2016 20:19

I also went and some guy at the reception asked her how she lost weight after the kids and didn't she ever get bored smiling!

Rude!

MintyChops · 11/04/2016 20:45

She can't win, either too frumpy or too revealing. Those wedges were AWFUL though, agree that she should have done the cricket bit barefoot.

Cocolepew · 11/04/2016 20:51

Look at the shape of her ankles when in her bare feet. She needs ortho insoles Wink

PennyHasNoSurname · 11/04/2016 23:36

She is literally the most critiqued woman currently living. Poor thing cant even take her shoes off without having a whole DM article written about her feet. No wonder she pulls out of events. How many articles in the news today and how many comments theyve drawn and nowts been said about her husband, you know, the future king. He may aswell not be there.

When she pulled out of the Malta tour because of her HG and William went in her place I think there was one article about the whole tour! And no mention of his clothes or his body parts.

Bet the Mail got really pissed at her when she cancelled that trip - oh the paper space theyd have had to fill last minute with actual news.

WipsGlitter · 12/04/2016 08:27

I think she read this!! No clutch in the latest photos. Lovely dress but it's crying out to be worn with sandals, so I'm guessing they are deemed too casual. Toes covered.

SnuffleGruntSnorter · 12/04/2016 09:04

I absolutely agree with you, Penny. There's such a disproportionate attention on what she looks like and what she wears.

Annarose2014 · 12/04/2016 09:35

She's really lucky to have a young mum who'll take the kids whilst they're gone. I was thinking yesterday what would I do if I was a Royal (snort) & had to go away for 7 days. I'd be screwed! I'd have to bring them with me and have them miserable on planes and in hotels every single day of it.

WipsGlitter · 12/04/2016 09:49

Don't fret anna I think there would be a raft of nannys there to help look after the kids. But it's nice her mum is able to help too!!

Annarose2014 · 12/04/2016 10:01

You'd need about three nannies full time for a week, wouldn't you? To cover days and nights and the weekend. I don't know how people before, like the Queen, used to do it. The guilt!

mouldycheesefan · 12/04/2016 11:08

Why would you feel guilty? Kids are well cared for and you are doing a job. It's only seven days! Plenty of parents have to work away for much longer periods

mrsvilliers · 12/04/2016 11:41

Ooh I love that lace dress although surprised the DM aren't calling it out for being too revealing. I like the nude pumps. Also in the interest of gender equality I'd just like to point out that William's suede boots with contrasting laces are really bugging me Grin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/04/2016 15:06

I don't understand why her hems aren't weighted, it's ridiculous it's happened so many times Confused

polyhymnia · 12/04/2016 15:18

I find her incredibly boring and apparently personality free. But that's probably an advantage in her 'job' ( she's never actually done a real job which, to me, adds to her boringness). Don't think the age of her DD is relevant as shehaslegions of nannies etc to help with her children and access to every health and beauty aid going.

polyhymnia · 12/04/2016 15:19

Also agree she should at least have the common sense tiger her gems weighted where necessary.

polyhymnia · 12/04/2016 15:19

'To get her', not 'tiger'!

polyhymnia · 12/04/2016 15:20

And hems, not gems!

freshprincess · 12/04/2016 15:37

That article about her feet was bizarre even by DM standards. I don't read the words, just like looking at the dresses. She does dress a bit frumpy for her age, but she's always very appropriate and looks good.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/04/2016 15:43

Does she only have 3 pairs of shoes?!?! God her shoes are dull dull dull

freshprincess · 12/04/2016 15:50

Pippa needs to get round to Kensington Palace (or wherever they live) and chuck all the nude pumps out whilst she's away.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 12/04/2016 18:45

She looks really good with her hair up though.
