Just that really. I was a huge fan of no7 intelligent colour and used it for years, but my new batch really affected my skin.

I have been really impressed by GOSH foundation drops, but only when applied with a brush, it vanished without trace when I tried to use my fingers or a sponge.

MrsT2007 · 10/04/2016 18:21

I love bourgois cc cream

annandale · 10/04/2016 18:22

I'm trying body shop Instablur and Bb cream (shade 2) which are £20 bought together. I really like them but it's quite a subtle effect, not heavy cover.

NantucketNightbird · 10/04/2016 18:24

MrsT does that come in different shades. What is your skin type and what shade do you use? I was using Nivea bb cream for about 6wks an only today did DH tell me I look orange Confused Angry

Bourjois Healthy Mix

pantsjustpants · 10/04/2016 18:37

Rimmel Wake Me Up is excellent, thoroughly recommend.

MrsT2007 · 10/04/2016 18:38

Yes, it comes in different shades. Balances out my slightly spit scarred skin. I have sensitive but combination skin.

TrixieBernadette · 10/04/2016 18:40

I love Max Factor - there's one with a serum - Ageless Elixor. I product tested it a few years ago, and never went back to my old one, it's light but excellent coverage and never had a problem with it.

Bourjois Healthy Mix is brilliant.

reader77 · 10/04/2016 18:45

L'Oreal true match is lovely

Scoopmuckdizzy · 10/04/2016 19:19

I am a recent convert to budget make up having previously never swayed from Benefit Mac etc.

I've tried L'oreal true match, Rimmel match perfection and Rimmel Wake me up and they're all fab and I will never spend £25 on foundation again as the cheaper stuff is just as good.

Collection lasting perfection concealer is amazing by the way- it's only £4 but really really good. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

I'm really excited about trying other cheaper stuff. I only ever bought makeup as I needed it and only tended to stick to the same stuff. Now I can get more for my money I'm like a kid in a sweet shop!

Nabootique · 10/04/2016 19:33

I had a clear out this weekend and the only budget ones that made the cut were Collection Lasting perfection, which I wouldn't recommend if you were dry, and Bourjois 123 Perfect. I got rid of L'Oreal, Max Factor, Rimmel, etc. I had the Bourjois Healthy Mix but it was too moisturising on me, as I am on the oily/combination side. Good coverage though so would say go for it if you are drier.

BirdInTheRoom · 10/04/2016 19:34

I use maybelline dream satin liquid foundation and I find it quite close to Chanel vitalumiere in coverage and finish. I apply with a real techniques brush.

Nabootique · 10/04/2016 19:34

*should have said decent coverage and glow for the healthy mix

I love both Maybelline mousse and the satin liquid. Fabulous.
The Max Factor whipped cream is also superb.
I liked Rimmel Wake Me Up and Bourjois healthy mix but can only wear them in summer as both their lightest shades are a smidgen too dark for me when I have no colour.

Dowser · 10/04/2016 22:01

Maybelline here too.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 10/04/2016 22:02

Sleek do a good solid foundation which is a bit of a Mac Studiotech dupe.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 10/04/2016 22:05

Primark!! £2.50, and it's brilliant!

Paddingtonthebear · 10/04/2016 22:08

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, my skin gets so dried out by foundation.

I also have a Laura Mercier foundation which gives a heavier coverage, but only I use for nights out, it has lasted forever as a) a tiny blob goes a long way and b) I hardly ever go out Grin

Paddingtonthebear · 10/04/2016 22:10

Laura Mercier silk creme is the foundation I've got

evelynj · 10/04/2016 22:22

Another vote for rimmel wake me up. Loving 17 bb cream as a light option atm too. I'd just say make sure before you use a foundation & take photos of sample faces in natural light. My current pref is the 17 bb cream & a dusting of light fleeting mineral powder

mrsmugoo · 10/04/2016 22:25

Bourjois healthy mix is my favourite foundation ever and I've tried Chanel and all the high end ones.

QueenLaBeefah · 10/04/2016 22:27
