Oh Herbs..... Do you need to see the doc?

Report
herbaceous · 07/04/2016 19:05

If it's worse in the morning I'll phone the doctor. And then be told they have no appointments for three weeks, then reckon I can't be arsed to wait five hours at the 'walk in' centre.

I'm hoping it's just dehydration causing tubing discomfort.

Herbs, rest up and yes poss GP tomorrow?

DP is baking potatoes. I do not want baked potatoes. I have at least requested salad with them. My fellow-inmates don't really believe in salad.

Can't keep up on here, it all moves so very quickly.

Reading about all your methods of entertaining the DC takes me back many years & i don't envy you one bit. I remember it fondly now as does DS, he every so oftens says "Mum do you remember when....?" so thee effort is definitely worth it.

Sorry to read about various forms of sickness, hope all are feeling better now.

I'm on the sofa wanting chocolate but as I'm only on day 2 of a fight the flab regime, I'll have to be strong and have no Chocolate

DH only believes in salad. It has to be served with every fucking meal. A pile of lettuce, not a nice interesting salad.

Report
motherinferior · 07/04/2016 20:01

This was Nice Salad. And he did the potatoes with pesto and feta.

And then, unlike DQ, I fed the flab with a small Posh ChocIce.

DH has gone out tonight with a friend who has left his wife after 30 years. I suspect he has left her for the twentysomething singer in the band he plays with. He had mentionitis last time we saw him. DH is incredulous that I should even think this.

I'm fighting the chocolate urge & losing at the moment. only the large ring of flab around my middle is preventing me from diving into my secret choc stash.

Herbs hope you feel better tomorrow.

i need to eat more salad, just don't like it that much.

Ivhad two slices of (wheat free) toast and marmite. Felt OK. Sipping fizzy water. Watching masterchef and not fancying any of it.

I have just been to a Book Club. I've never been invited to a Book Club before and so off I trotted, in the dark, to the other end of the village.... Ten ladies, I was definitely in the younger percentile, and we all discussed books. Books we had recently read, books we wanted to read etc.... Then someone started on Brexit and it all got a bit heated!

Still, I'm working on the basis that I get to read books I haven't thought of, get to drink other people's wine and most importantly get to nose around in other houses in the village that I've never been Smile

Have had bath, as prescribed by Sister Inferior. First one for more than six years. Bloody lovely. I still ache all over, but at least I'm not shivering.

Beachy, book clubs are very good for local gossip information, as well as interiors.

How are you doing today, Herbs? Any better? Doesn't your GP do emergency appointments? With ours there are 50 appointments available each day with the practice nurse - who will then pass you on to the doctor if needed.

MrsS, where are you staying? We're in Port d'Alcudia and go on Tuesday. I would have quite fancied a mini MU, but we have DSis and her DH with us from Our arrival until Friday night when they fly home. I am already salivating at the thought of a paella on the terrace at a naice restaurant we know in Cala Figuera.

Rose, it was kind of you to think about me. We are surviving and DDiL is lovely, but I do feel for her. DS works long hours, is away a lot, and she is carrying the burden of sourcing and ordering things like the kitchen, bathrooms, radiators etc for their house, not helped by two small children. We and her DM look after the DC when she has long appointments with suppliers, the builders, etc., so we're finding it more tying than we anticipated. They're off to stay in a "pod" in the Lake District tonight for the weekend which will mean we're off duty for a couple of days.

BD, was that a typo in a previous post, or did I imagine the word 'wedding'?

Rudy good to hear from you....

Saw a great mug yesterday 'My book group reads between the wines'.

Off to see a bestie today, and getting ready for return to work Monday (boo). I have lost my mojo and really don't care anymore.

Ha ha NU I was joking! Saying getting a joint account with Dp after a millennium together the next thing we will be doing is getting married :)

Mind you you lot as bridesmaids could be fun :)

How are you Herbs?

MrsS, you can keep dioralyte down?

DH and I slept from 9-7 and I feel OK now, but haven't tried eating anything yet! It's good to be home. There were 2 pans in the sink unwashed, but aside from that it doesn't look like DD's had any major shenanigans.

Rudy, glad to hear you are OK.

Beachy, I have never been to a book group, but they all seem to revolve around drinking here!

NU - I'm going to be just round the bay from you. Smile Ca'n Picafort.

BTM - the trick is to sip it slowly, then a bit more of it is likely to stay down.

I am very tired, not really sleeping, and have stress eczema on my hands.

You need that holiday MrsS!

I have never felt clever enough to belong to a book group. Blush Blush Blush

DQ when I'm really desperate I drink this It's a poor substitute for real chocolate but if you're dieting, it kind of helps with the craving...only 2 sins per cup on SW.

MI good news on the health matters... Smile

Herbs a woman needs a bath. Sometimes only bath will do. Hope you're on the mend.

Rudy that's great Smile

I am off on business related to the organisation that has suffered an embarrassing cyber attack/data hack! It was on the news this morning.... I think the shit is about to hit the fan....
Dh is coming in from work later and later. We are averaging 9pm at the minute. He is also mumbling abut there being a Friday night drinking culture... Hmm Should I be concerned? Grin Hmm

Ah, my crepey lovelies. I feel MUCH better today. Almost normal. Not normal enough to take DS on his transport odyssey, much to his disappointment. He wanted to go on the overground to Liverpool Street, tfl rail to Stratford, DLR to city airport, emirates cable car to North Greenwich, jubilee line to Canada Water, east London line to Highbury, and Victoria line home. The very idea makes me need to lie down.

I've promised him a new pair of wellies and lunch in sainsburys instead.

Back pain has gone, I've eaten some breakfast and it has stayed in place - I just feel weak and feeble.

Blimey Herbs that's some marathon - I feel tired just reading it...

Dp and I over indulged on Wednesday night and I am still feeling the effects.

I think it's time for a period of abstenance....

He also wants to go on as many of the ground lines as possible. I fear he may become a trainspotter.
