holly scarf? Doesn't sound very cosy... it was a wolly scarf...

motherinferior · 25/04/2016 21:04

I know.

I had the good sense to leave enough stuff chez parents to be able to return instantly. Including thermals.

CointreauVersial · 25/04/2016 21:49

Tell me about it, GGG. We walked up to the pub at the top of the village for dinner, and I was frozen to the core by the time we arrived.

Dinner was nice, though, only marred by DS being a complete moany-arse all evening. He is not feeling the love for GCSE revision at all.

bigTillyMint · 25/04/2016 21:50

Yes MI and Cremo, great work on the Aged P's front.

Great, Lalsy!Wine

bigTillyMint · 25/04/2016 21:53

Don't blame him, CV. DD was/is moany AND dramaticWink

CointreauVersial · 25/04/2016 22:06

He actually lay on the sofa, kicked his legs and wailed like a toddler. A spotty six foot toddler. Poor lamb.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 25/04/2016 22:38

Aw, bless CV. Hoped you ignored him like you would a toddler!

Blackduck · 26/04/2016 05:51

It snowed at some point last night! Please I want some warmth and not having to put the heating back on......

addle · 26/04/2016 07:28

V cold here and strange cat in kitchen when I came down this morning. Just to add to confusion strange cat looked same as dcat, who was there but pusillanimous and silent, so thought I was seeing things for a second

I want to retreat too Beachy - where's your thread?

addle · 26/04/2016 07:34

S&B - Mrs S and CV - which Nuxe items do you recommend? any moisturiser for the face or is the dry oil for body?

hattymattie · 26/04/2016 07:50

Grin CV - that puts things in perspective for DD2 who was at her most particularly charming last night when she said "can't you take DS with you when you go to collect DD1 - I mean he's horrible and I shouldn't have to look after him". Unprovoked attach as DS was innocently eating his meal. There followed by various insults of DS, the food and pretty much everything. She is the first to criticise other people for being bitchy Confused. Apparently DC's do get much nicer after exam period - I'll report back then!

bigTillyMint · 26/04/2016 08:03

We haven't turned the heating off yet!

Our neighbours have a new and very dare-devil cat jumping from parapet to parapet and also dislodging a nest of baby birds into our gardenShock

I fancy a retreat too. Preferably the week before the exams kick off!

motherinferior · 26/04/2016 08:28

I am having a NORMAL MORNINGGrinGrin

Arrived home, ate delicious supper cooked by DP, chatted to everyone, watched Undercover with the cat, slept in my own bed and have conducted a Ladyjog. I need to do a bit of work but that will actually be rather fab too, rather than constantly waiting for sickbed summons.

I'm on the last day of my Spanish jaunt. It's freezing here. I've got a small suitcase of totally unsuitable clothes. For some crazy reason I thought it might be warmer here than at home. I've bought jumpers but snd still cold. I should have brought a coat, my leather jacket isn't ip to the job.

MI, enjoy the respite.

ds not apparently feeling the revision stress - said on Sunday maybe it was time to decide which topics to do......I asked him if he was winding me up and he just smiled.......

DQ, good trip back.

Dreamqueen · 26/04/2016 08:49

Sorry for multiple posting. Phone is playing up. It kept saying unable to post

Blackduck · 26/04/2016 08:49

Ds had a BDHound moment and sobbed and sobbed and it broke my heart all over again :(

Heating goes off in April! (but keep having to turn it back on.....)

MI enjoy your normal day :)

motherinferior · 26/04/2016 09:25

Obviously I'm now sitting immobile...Smile

Cremo · 26/04/2016 09:46

Re cold, we lighted the fire last night and had the central heating on. Baltic, or Arctic, whatever you like. My tender plants are done for I imagine. And the wind! It's like November.

I have purchased a rather nice navy ponte jacket from the TU range and am delighted with my Liberty /Uniqlo shirt. Still , too cold to go about in such things, except with hooded coat over top.Sad
Also not much use for nursing dps tbh. At least thanks to the Aga their house is at a constant temperature of a million degrees, so probably good I am spending so much time thereGrin

Hoping to see signs of parental improvement today, as I have a stack of work to do.

MI glad re-entry has been lovely for you. And breathe.

GGG I was imagining a scarf with a holly print on it and thinking, -ooh that's maybe a bit ChristmassyGrin

Anyone remember those British Gas ads? Is it Baltic in the b-b-b-bathroom? Vladivostock on the vlanding?

Still makes me laugh.

Composing DRAFT email to boss re ridiculous amounts of duplicate paperwork. For a course of eight hours teaching, I reckon I'll spend about 30 hours on prep and admin. And if anything in the damned place actually worked, that would reduce it by five. There are printers in the classrooms, but they don't print from the computers in there. You have to send it to the prep room. But the keypad to get into the prep room doesn't work, so you have to go through two sets of double doors, another keypadded office (all with different codes) to get to the prep room. The document won't have printed, as it doesn't do tray one (which is kept shut with sellotape). There will be a massive queue of other things printing. And that's just the printing...

motherinferior · 26/04/2016 11:37

Hmm, I'm banging out some work and feeling frenzied in another way. But have booked eyebrows for 4pm. I'm so S&B...
