WAF, I have ordered that book! Not that I think DH and I have any major issues ATM, but I thought it looked interesting.

Rudy, I wish I had an event to go to to justify one of those dresses!

Rudy, that is true! Hmmm, maybe I should consider!

Cremo · 13/04/2016 15:12

Could a kind Crepey link to the book please? There seem to be two with similar names.

Have been instructed about new diabetic tech they have given me. It's fascinating if you like that kind if thing.
It tells you how much insulin to take which is marvellous, as sometimes my guesswork is hopeless. I will be a new woman.

Off for haircut now .in a cafe at the moment and I can count 11 boden items without moving my head. Grin

Well done Herbs! Ditch the teenager job, I say.

I just want to cry.

I am horribly behind with work: I am fat and bursting painfully out of my jeans: my mother's friend who is staying with her informs me she has written 'three pages of notes for me and my sister': I don't know what to do.

bigTillyMint · 13/04/2016 17:02

Cremo, I ordered this one - hope it's the right one!
Glad you have had your instruction - you will indeed be a new woman, especially after your haircut!

Herbs, why on earth would you want to ditch those lovely teens? Grin

bigTillyMint · 13/04/2016 17:05

MI, have a little cry, put on some more comfy trousers, tell your DM's friend to FTFOATFOSM and get on with your workWink Flowers

hattymattie · 13/04/2016 17:22

I think the French dress up much less than the British. I'd be too conspicuous lunching in one of those dresses.

I want to order that book. Except book orders come up though DH's Amazon account and he might wonder why I'm ordering it.

CremGrinat Boden items. I think they've gone right down hill. Lots of viscose and the quality not what it used to be.

magimedi · 13/04/2016 17:30

MI - have a bloody good howl & then have some Wine & tell them all to FO.

Ignore the notes - just ignore.

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/04/2016 17:32

Yes, please link to book.

MI, this is not the time for Trousers of Truth. Be kind to yourself. What are the notes for? Does she think you and your DSis are going to take it in turns looking after your Dad when she's gone?

wordassociationfootball · 13/04/2016 17:35

Yes, that's the one BTM. I feel very supported by you lot buying it (I'll take what I can Smile )

MI that is TOO MUCH. What BTM says, x infinity with added Kung Fu kicks and primal screaming.

Crem that is brill about the insulin exactitude. (And re: Boden, you've only got yourself to blame - it passes me by Grin)

I keep thinking I'll be smart one day then pulling on my black skinnies and DM Chelsea boots.

motherinferior · 13/04/2016 17:35

And DP has rung me again about the car because I told the insurance people the wrong thing and I CAN'T KEEP ALL THIS IN MY HEAD.

motherinferior · 13/04/2016 17:42

It's actually very useful notes breaking down what my mum needs in order to fix it. She just has a very haranguing style, which is clearly great in fighting my mother's corner but makes me feel inadequate.

I will keep going with work tonight (I have to do an 8pm interview) but may change my trousers. Actually I might change ALL my clothes. Into pyjamas.

Lalsy · 13/04/2016 17:46

Push the boat out, MI. Get an early night too.

Could you take your laptop somewhere tomorrow - just get away and ignore all calls and texts (unless emergency) and focus on work? Might help it feel a bit less out of control? I did very well at the National Theatre on Monday,

Cremo · 13/04/2016 17:47

Thanks BTM. I am afraid to read that, frankly. I don't think it will fix the issue of Dh bringing more and more and more tech, wires and machinery into my carefully imagineered a Scandi-style living room when it's finished. Angry Will it?

Hair I
Has been blunted by scissors, in a good way, I think.

MI, not surprisingly feeling tearful, I think it is to be encouraged in fact. BTW you have great hair, terrific specs, and put the TOT away until another more forgiving time.
I am aghast at the instruction list. Tell her you feel bullied by it and perhaps wait next time, until she is asked for help. I know you can't tell her to butt out, but perhaps you can each tell her that you fear it would have a devastating effect on the other. And how offended the other is by her butting in. A United sisterly approach?

I can't get an early night - I have an interview at 8pm and then have to keep working as I will try to work on Friday but really need to clear stuff. My new glasses are hurting my head and I don't know when I can get them adjusted...

herbaceous · 13/04/2016 18:26

MI - I'll bet The List has been created to make the friend feel like she's doing something useful. I doubt she actually expects you to follow it.

Hair uneventful, but now v short. DP will hate it.

bigTillyMint · 13/04/2016 19:19

In Proud Mummy News, DS has just put together the new office chair he chose on Amazon ON HIS OWNSmile
He clearly takes after me. DH would not have managed itGrin

hattymattie · 13/04/2016 19:34

Grinwell done mini BTM.

Blackduck · 13/04/2016 20:15

MI I have cried tonight because it's all got too much.

I recommend it.

I agree with others this person has made the list to make them feel better. Suggest you take it and as soon as you can set fire to it......

I would like to jump on a bin Stropps style...

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/04/2016 20:43

Agree with the therapeutic howl, MI. Go on. You'll feel better afterwards and you can have a nice cup of tea or glass of wine.

We are off to Palma tomorrow to try and replace Dd2's Burst Bikini. Wish us luck, I don't think the Spanish are gifted of nork...

motherinferior · 13/04/2016 20:51

I have got over myself and found my old glasses. And realise with mixed relief and horror that one reason for my current discombobulation appears to be one of those joyous perimenopausal periods I thought were over.

And to be fair it isn't an instruction list. It's a list of stuff that's going on with my mum, and a lot of it is a list for her of things she can/should delegate to carers, and so on.

I am going to have a glass of wine now Grin
