I'm going to transform myself - would anyone like to join me?

I need to get a grip and I think posting here might help me!

I need to lose some weight, concentrate on personal grooming and give myself a makeover, generally. I want to look and feel better and up my look at work.

Is anyone else interested in joining me?

My aims and ideas are (yours may be different):

Get my teeth bleached
Find out whether to (or how to) deal with my fairly new moustache FOR EVER
Ditto chin hairs
Sort out my fungal toenail
Get a new work wardrobe at some point
Get my nails gelled and keep them maintained
Give up sugar and carbs
Sleep enough, drink slightly less
Be happy!

I am generally, but I do need to look less like a hag, I have let myself go a bit and it's got to stop. Anyone else in?

Morning! Welcome newcomers!
bluedolphin my ds has mixed afro hair, very frizzy, and we've been using Palmers coconut oil range, alcohol free, (can get it on amazon) and I cannot believe the difference it has made to her hair. Considering the expensive products we have used In the past, this is about 4.00 a bottle and its brilliant!
I'm on day 17 sugar free, feeling good although I was hungry yesterday and very nearly cracked. I managed to talk myself down, and I'm glad I did, but I very nearly walked to the shop for chocolate! Noooooo! Today as my reward i've bought 2 new tops from tesco, one is a nice lightweight knitted vest top which is a bit different to my usual style but very flattering. I've lost 11lb now so I'd like to lose 3lb this week to make it a nice round stone In 3 weeks, so I need to keep up my Healthey habits - water, zero sugar/low carb as per Michael Mosley, and 10000 steps each day! I can feel another weekend looking though, (that's where temptation lies.....)
Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone

I joined this thread ages ago.

I don't exercise as much as I'd like as still recovering from an illness earlier in the year. I hope to be back to normal in the next few weeks. I enjoy exercise so it's frustrating to have lost muscle tone and have too-tight jeans.

I already do a lot of the stuff on this thread, but I said I was going to do three big things and I have now done them:

IPL for skin pigmentation - has made a slight difference
sclerotherapy (sp?) for leg veins - just had second session, and has made a big difference
professional teeth whitening - also done, makes fairly big difference (not drinking tea, coffee or red wine for several days is a killer though)

It's a good job I don't need many new clothes for summer as I've spent my clothes budget on these treatments!

pisssssedoff if I get the hairdresser to dry it it's not frizzy, if I leave it to dry naturally it's frizzy, if I dry it myself it's a tiny bit less frizzy. I just need to learn how to blow dry my hair properly. Seriously considering a Brazilian blow dry but I think it will be very expensive as my hair is passed my bra strap.

thenewaveragebear1983. I will try that shampoo range out to see if that makes a difference to my hair.

Hello everyone, welcome to new people! I missed my nail appointment yesterday because I forgot, shame. Hair being done on Monay though and needs it, roots are showing. I REALLY need to lay off the sugar and carbs though...

Got a make up class booked in for tomorrow night with my house of colour consultant. Cant wait to pick up some tips and ditch my current blusher (i know its the wrong shade for me) and purchase a new one.
I overhauled my wardrobe yesterday, charity shopped lots. Picked up a lovely red dress in outfit in the sale which ill get lots of wear out of and fills s gap in my wardrobe.
Still bring good with skincare and upping the water i drink.
Not eating well though and zero exercise. Trying to get motivated on that front!

Morning all. Just checking in:

Reduce sugar (better)
No midweek wine (fail)
Green juice every morning (mostly)
Hair cut every 8-10 weeks (due soon)
Sort out myopic squinty eyes (appointment today)
gel mani (not yet)
Water (yes, been very good on this front)
Castor oil for brows / eyelashes (need to buy some more)
Swim / ballet / yoga (failing a bit on this one)
Scale and polish (not yet)
Teeth whitening/ veneer (yes)
Hand cream frequently (YES)
Meditate (yes)
Make up lesson (need to book in with a friend, so might be a while)

So some progress made, but I need to sort out my exercise and sugar / wine intake. It's good to hold myself accountable, though.

morning all!

bluedolphin I have hair that sounds like yours and have had a few brazilian blowdries (keep being sucked in by the hype!) but they don't really make much difference. i.e. my hair is still v frizzy if I don't blowdry it.

On related note: am not sticking well to attempt to blow dry hair twice a week. Must try harder as it makes me feel so much better.

Just checking in. Have spent a lot of money on make up and spent a lot of time returning clothes/shoes via the post office!
Doing fairly well with exercise - eating crap is my downfall.

How's everyone getting along?
I had my hoc make up class which was fantastic, got some lovely make up which suits my colouring.
Also bought their skin care range which really is amazing ( more wowed by this than their make up tbh!) I've tried so many ranges and this is by far the best so far. I got a cleanser, mask, facial oil and cream. Not perfumed, no parabens. The cystic acne on my jaw lines even cleared up! The facial oil has essential oils in so smells gorgeous.
I've finally upped my exercise! Instead of driving the mile to school I've let my son ride his bike and I've walked speedily alongside him then home. Same at home time too.

Evening! It's been a while since I last came on but am pleased to say that, 3 weeks on my gel nails are still in mint condition. Have made myself another hair appointment for 4 weeks' time but I'm now looking for advice on a new make up collection for Summer. Any ideas please?

Same here Maud. I'm off work this week and it's not going well. Seem to have so much more structure to my day when I'm at work.

On the plus side- I've booked my hair appointment for the beginning of June and will get my eyebrows done again at the same time.

Need to get on top of drinking water regularly again though Sad
