Rudy, we won't ask a thing. Except "would you like a top-up".

motherinferior · 09/03/2016 16:51

I by contrast will have to be told to shut upBlush

CremoLafoam · 09/03/2016 17:19

Rudy, wouldn't think of it. Come down, unwind, have a break from it all. We are her to prop, and push stock cubes gin.ThanksWine

bigTillyMint · 09/03/2016 17:23

Rudy, hugs at the readyGrin It will be great to see you as long as you have your bra on your head Wink

Where are you, MrsS? We need the name of your bar!

Lalsy · 09/03/2016 17:48

Rudy, it will be lovely to see you and of course.

Has MrsS been seen since she set off on her noble act of exploration?

motherinferior · 09/03/2016 17:52

She's our very own Captain Oates. Just gone out and may be some time...

Blackduck · 09/03/2016 18:57

Rudy I'll hug you if you hug me....... :)

And I promise not to ask, just hope you are okay.

I will deffo make early meet, but probably can't stay long at MB.... Dad needs shoring up.

BeachysFlipFlops · 09/03/2016 19:37

Likewise, I will be there for early drinks and not staying for a too late one, due to trains home. {{ }} to Rudy.

I'm sure there are some spiffy bars near or under the National which would be close.

I

hattymattie · 09/03/2016 20:15

Mrs S still not back then?

Rudy - hope you are OK and that Saturday evening with the Crepeys helps to destress you a little.

magimedi · 09/03/2016 22:57

Joining all of you with elderly relatives.

DH's aunt (who will be 103 soon ) has just been blue lighted to hospital - many problems.

I feel so sad as she has managed to live in her own home until now ( with carers 5 x a day).

I had so hoped she would have just gone to sleep one night....

Feisty, feisty woman - had she been up for the internet she would have been the crepey to beat all crepeys.! The tales of the men she has known that she told me leave me with a slack jaw.

Dh's baby brother is going to see her tomorrow - we will be off over the w/e.

Feeling very sad - no way to end a long life.................

CremoLafoam · 09/03/2016 23:43

Oh MM, that's a tragedy, after such a long independent life. It's all most of us want really isn't it, to avoid hospital at all costs at the end? ThanksSad

Why is there nothing on telly on a Wednesday night? I have been forced to list Ebay sales , and ^talk to Dh.Finding it all a bit dull. Wink
Am feeling fit to travel, but Molls, I'm a little tired so forgive me if I doze off mid sentence , won't you?Grin I will bring the matchsticks for my eyes on Saturday night.
Have had to ponder the job + new management in my absence. They are going to bring something in which I just cannot approve of. It is based on complete ignorance of the job we do, and is purely about raising revenue.
I swear the office was heated to 38 degrees last week. They could switch that off for a start. grr.

Blackduck · 10/03/2016 05:57

Oh Cremo it just doesn't stop does it? I have a job app or two I must get on.

Here Plan B fell apart... Don't ask.

motherinferior · 10/03/2016 08:39

Oh hell, I am so sorry.

hattymattie · 10/03/2016 11:24

MM - so sad re elderly rellie. Much better to just go to sleep. She sounds a fab woman.

BD - so sorry you are back to square one.

Crem - there's Grantchester on Weds - complete chiĺling out with the gorgeous Jame Norton plus nice views of Cambridge.

magimedi · 10/03/2016 12:55

Just hear from DH's brother - he got to the hospital & she has been discharged - no one told us or her carers. Much fuming & raging going on & phone calls. She doesn't 'seem' to be at home yet - but she is very deaf & doesn't always answer the phone. FFS - she is 102 - WTF were the hospital doing?

CointreauVersial · 10/03/2016 13:08

Magi, nothing surprises me. Sad

Crem - obligatory Wednesday night viewing at Chateau Cointreau is 24 Hours in A&E. Last week, DD1's English teacher was on it, pestering her son (who was sitting in the waiting room with gashes all over his face) to do a Word Search with her. Grin

Rudy - You can certainly have a hug. Or two. And I will distract you with talk of CALIFORNIA! (did I mention we were off there on holiday? Wink). Desperately need to start booking accommodation - I'm starting to twitch because nothing is planned as yet. And I do like to plan.

Have just heard from the school that they are putting DS in for the iGCSE in English, as well as the regular exam. I really haven't a clue what this is, although reading between the lines it is an easier way to ensure a C (English is Not His Thing). I must post something on the teen/secondary boards.

magimedi · 10/03/2016 13:11

DH's brother has now reached aunt's home - she's not there either.

I am so cross - suspect she's sitting in a wheelchair somewhere waiting for transport. Hell is being raised.

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2016 17:11

Oh MM, that is terribleAngry

CV, I am so Envy of your Cali trip. DH still hasn't booked flights to Vietnam - think he's waiting for them to go down againConfused

MrsS seems to be MIA - hope you are all right, MrsS - I know you were worrying about your boss.

magimedi · 10/03/2016 17:14

She is home. Waiting to hear from BIL to find out exactly what was wrong/has been going on.

motherinferior · 10/03/2016 17:20

MrsS emailed me to say she can't post from home. So she's going to check the bar, text me, and I'll post.

What could possibly go wrong?GrinGrin

motherinferior · 10/03/2016 17:20

Oh, MMThanks. How stressful.

magimedi · 10/03/2016 17:54

Please send Mrs S 'all the best' from me for tomorrow.

NUFC69 · 10/03/2016 18:25

That's grim, MM. Poor old lady.

Our California/Arizona trip is mostly booked; I think we just need to book an overnight in San Francisco, and then similar in or round Death Valley. Three wonderful weeks of sunshine.

Here the wanderers have returned and the house seems very full and noisy. Needless to say they are all tired and irritable! The builders seem to have got on relatively well in DS's absence.
