Mara I had forgotton about my feet Blush yes they are my biggest fashion fail. I don't like feet, a bit like Marsha but not as bad Grin I only wear sandals on holiday. I bought a scholl battery foot sander thing which helps otherwise they get so rough the heels on my socks go Blush Blush Blush sorry, I should be chucked off here.

Love both of those boots, the shearling ones look so cosy.
I am not into proper jewelry at all and wear only a silver ring on one hand. Dm gave me a loads of gold jewelry when I got married as is the custom from my parents culture. It has been in the bank since then. When the price of gold went up while we were extending our house I was tempted to sell a necklace or two to pay for it all but was too scared of dm!

GeorginaWorsley · 15/01/2016 21:30

Nice buys queen
OOTD here
Plum coated skinnies, Kin at John Lewis
Pale pink jumper with silk hem, Mint Velvet
Plum suede ankle boots, Marks
Cream/beige fur coat, few years old from Top shop
Leopard print leather bag from Warehouse few seasons ago.

QueenC · 15/01/2016 21:46

sloggi

Dh isn't really that bothered by underwear. I don't think he's keen on the nude stuff but I literally only wear that when black will show through. One if the other reasons I don't do nice lingerie anymore is that my boobs really suit plain t shirt bras. Anything frilly/lacy may look good on it's own but gives a dreadful shape under clothes. Also I like matching underwear so if I had a coloured bra I'd have to get the pants to match and quite frankly I'm too tight to spend that much on underwear Grin

Georgina your outfit sounds gorgeous, love those colours together, v luxe.

will try harder Blingy but I'm not going to give you a daily update Grin

GeorginaWorsley · 15/01/2016 22:26

Thanksdry
Yes I love plums and pinks together.

Cranagh · 15/01/2016 23:31

Great buys, Queen, those boots are a bargain.

Love pink and plum also, Georgina.

I'm not interested in lingerie nor is my DH (who is not here Monday-Thursdays any week anyway) Went to Rigby and Peller in the past but when you're fairly flat on top, I don't think you need to spend much in the way of upholstery! Sloggi (not Bridget Jones style) do me fine.

Cranagh · 15/01/2016 23:35

Reading backwards...

I've always liked the Roxanne, Blingy, was sorry I never bought it, lovely bag.

Love the boots, Mara.

libertydoddle · 16/01/2016 00:19

Evening all. Just in from dinner out and cinema with a friend. Saw The Revenent - yawn. Lots of snow shots, gratuitous violence, and a totally unbelievable storyline. My friend looked at me at the end and said 'can I have that 2 and a half hours of my life back please Leo?'

Blingy I might start wearing nicer lingerie at least at weekends. DH does like it and has told me more than once that the big nude pants really don't do it for him!

Lara I have been thinking about my '10 items only' challenge. I have a decent enough wardrobe and I want to stop impulse shopping and give myself an excuse to buy some nicer things. So for example, I have a gap for a new work jacket - if I am only buying 10 items then I reckon I can justify spending a bit more and getting a really nice one rather than impulse buying 2 or 3 in H&M. I am including shoes in the 10. I need a going out bag but I'll get that as a birthday gift. I have decided as well that replacing basics like jeans, t-shirts doesn't count but has to be a strict 'one in, one out policy'. And underwear and nightwear are allowed.

libertydoddle · 16/01/2016 00:34

Great boot buying going on. Justa the Edith boots look great, QueenC fab bargain on the Dune boots, they look perfect for walking to work in the cold and Mara I am practically chewing my hands off trying to resist ordering those cluster boots - best to go to bed I think.

Blingy good to see you are feeling better. Lovely bag and great bling.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/01/2016 00:52

just ordered two McQueen razor wrap bracelets from the outnet, one in pastel orange and a slightly smaller one in green. i love the razor design and i'm sort of collecting all the different colours that i can. it's symbolic in a sense to me for reasons i won't go into but it represents something very meaningful to me so it's kinda my thing

Dreamqueen · 16/01/2016 06:36

Can I join in the 10 items for the year & the nicer lingerie challenge please?

libertydoddle · 16/01/2016 08:13

Of course Dreamqueen, the more the merrier!

GeorginaWorsley · 16/01/2016 08:32

I'm definitely on board for 10 items only challenge.
Re underwear,DH has bought me Agent Provocateur stuff that is lovely, but not everyday wear if you see what I mean Blush
I agree with I think it was Queen re tee shirt bras under clothes looking better.
I tend to wear black or pale pink under darker colours but nude under white obviously.

Longislandicetee · 16/01/2016 08:35

Morning! Had a bad night last night but feeling better this morning.

QueenC, you're right the sloggis are not as bad as I feared.p, they still look my gym pants thoughGrin

Dream absolutely do join in!

Glad to see you're joining in Lib and Dry. By the way Dry you have to include it in your OOTD! I am not asking you to send me a selfie.....yetWink fondly remembers the time I sent underwear pick to Shop and she acted like that was normal

Cranagh, I see I have lost youGrin I felt the same way about the Roxanne. I couldn't afford it at the time, so didn't get it. I am clearly reliving my 20s!

Georgina, loved your ootd yesterday. I think you said before you're a size 6, do Kin and Mint Velvet do 6s then?

QueenC · 16/01/2016 08:46

Morning.
lib and dream I'll be impressed if you do mange the 10 items. In theory it shoukd be totally doable as it's virtually 1 item per month although it doesn't sound much. Last year I averaged 2 items per month and so far this month ive bought 3 items plus swimsuit and kaftan. Maybe once ive got my work wardrobe a bit more sorted I can buy less who am I kidding.

Only a 1lb weight loss this week which is hardly suprising as dh is away and I'm bloody knackered which makes me eat. Will try harder next week to lose the last 2lb. On the upside though I have got into quite a good shred routine and can often be found doing it when I get back from school in the afternoons. Really enjoying level 3. I have to adapt some of the high impact moves as they hurt my back and make me pee myself but I'm finding it relatively easy. I reckon under the jelly belly im developing abs of steel Grin

Cranagh · 16/01/2016 08:56

Don't worry, Blingy I do at least wear matching! Glad you are feeling a bit better.

The bracelets sound cool, One.

GeorginaWorsley · 16/01/2016 09:01

blingy
I'm a 6 in some shops,8 in others.
Mint Velvet 8 is fine usually.
queen
Well done with Shred.
I like level 3,level 2 harder I think.
I did Shred religiously 2 years ago and lost a lot of weight, plus it got me really used to exercise and made it almost enjoyable!
I still do it on occasion if on holiday or can't get to a gym class.

Longislandicetee · 16/01/2016 09:01

Yeah, I don't think I can do the 10 item challenge. Excluding all accessories according to Pinterest, I bought 10 things for work, 4 for going out, 20 for casual. Never gonna happen!

AmberNectarine · 16/01/2016 09:18

I had that Roxanne years ago blingy, but it wasn't really me so I sold it. I do have a purple Roxanne tote though, which DH bought me our first Cmas together which I'm quite sentimental about.

DH could not give a toss about underwear. I've lots of lovely stuff but it gets no reaction so it's tshirt bras and plain thongs all the way here. I asked him if he liked my new dress last night while we were out. He said 'I'm not that bothered about clothes but I like you in it'. I think that was a compliment!

Kids on a play date today so I'm literally picking them up from my DPs and dropping them off. DH and I will go for lunch, I think.

OOTD so far is zebra print fleece pyjamas. Will up my game later!

FedupNagging · 16/01/2016 09:32

Morning ladies.

Pleased to see you've got your groove back Blingy.

Lib am well impressed with your clothing challenge-I think you need to be really organised about your wardrobe to do this which you obviously are. As I need to cut back this year, I may join you.

Blair dh would love those geode bookmarks - he's really into geology.

I keep forgetting about figleaves when I'm on the hunt for flattering swimwear. Will have a look later.

I don't spend much on underwear but I do get matching sets usually from M&s, sometimes Freya or ck and make them last for years and years!

We are off to London later to meet friends and currently deciding what to wear. Need warm for outside, cool for inside bars and restaurants and comfy shoes/boots. Oh, and stylish!

The Woolovers order STILL not arrived. I also did a CDC order for a few tops/blouses. Will link later.

FedupNagging · 16/01/2016 09:38

These boots arrived- they're fleecy lined on the soles as well as the sides and sooo warm.

GeorginaWorsley · 16/01/2016 10:09

fedup
I ordered a navy scarf from Wool overs and it took around 5 days to arrive I think.
Came in normal post.

Karcheer · 16/01/2016 10:16

Morning ladies!

Had a lovely day yesterday, I walked along the river with my dogs and a friend and her friend who was very stylish (if not a bit in appropriately dressed :/ she had a lovely pair of chanel riding boots that were very muddy by the end), lovely lunch alfresco in Henley on the river.
Then popped to towie world to have dinner in with some more friends, oote was blue skinnies, Dior nude heels, maje lace blouse and SM blazer, grey Saint Laurent clutch.

Re undies, dh has bought me a lot of agent prov sets but none really fit well, I'm 28ff and they just don't make that size. I only wear bravissimo satine sets which do nothing for dh. I used to love la perla but since being properly sized I seem to have few options.

Re 10 item challenge, I would love to do this, and have tried a minimal/capsule wardrobe albeit more than 10 items a few times, but just feel I'm wearing the same stuff over and over again, which I guess I am...

maradesbois · 16/01/2016 10:21

Morning,

lib if they aren't one of the ten items don't do it!! Your LKB boots are fab and possibly the catalyst for all this other boot buying that's been going on

Interesting to think about how much we buy in terms of quantity. Really don't think I buy more than 10 items per year anyway if you exclude nightwear, underwear, loungewear, gym stuff, accessories but could be deluded.

Fedup think you may be going where I am later. Am taking ds to the lumière festival, the elephant on regent St and aquarium phonebox on grosvenor square look fab.

QueenC and georgina your shred level 3 stories are inspirational, I hate level 2 but 1 is starting to get too comfortable so need to go for it!

Have just booked skiing holiday & wanted to ask where you get dc clothing, linus maybe? Also would you do all in one or separates? Ds's old snowsuit was a present, no idea about where from but too small now.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

GeorginaWorsley · 16/01/2016 10:28

mara
Level 2 worst I think.
Level 3 not as cardio intensive but perhaps better for strength.
