Lib, i like this, but again not sure how warm it is

BendyBusBuggy · 24/01/2016 17:30

This IM one is nice, not sure what your size is

BendyBusBuggy · 24/01/2016 17:48

Do you like Gunter, e.g here?

Dreamqueen · 24/01/2016 18:03

I wish I'd seen vegas's post about sending most of her Hush sale order back before splashing out £200 on sale items. I'm now convinced that I'll be doing a massive return also. Thats the peril of shopping after wine!

Glad that MU was fun, if you'll have me, i'll def be at the next one.

Larastheme · 24/01/2016 19:27

lib IM jackets are so flattering and very well made, they have some lovely ones this season, I've seen a few and I want them all! But better wait till most stuff are in store?

What's everyones opinion on this cardi coat? I can't stop thinking about it,

sleepwhenidie · 24/01/2016 19:27

this looks like a great colour for you Lib, not sure if you like the length?

Also there was a jacket in ST Style Wardrobe Mistress today by Fold London. I can't see it on the website but there's some nice looking workwear on there Smile! She also mentions Libby London which also looks worth checking out for office wear.

sleepwhenidie · 24/01/2016 19:33

The Fold jacket...

sleepwhenidie · 24/01/2016 19:38

Lara the cardi coat is beautiful. Worth it? All depends on how many opportunities you'll get to wear it - for my lifestyle it would be far too few Smile

LinusLovesBretons · 24/01/2016 19:39

lara I pinned that cardicoat ages ago and it is seriously drooltastic! I fear that as a shortarse it might look more like a blanket than a coat on me.

Sounds like all of you had a lovely MU, very Envy

QueenC · 24/01/2016 20:20

Mu sounds good. Glad you all had a good time. Hello to all the newbies Smile.
The uniqlo cardi was waiting for me on my return home but is going back. It's nice but a bit frumpy on me.

safetyzone · 24/01/2016 20:39

Hello all, nice to hear the MU went great.

Went out with DH to his birthday dinner in the APC playsuit and OTK boots! Tailor did an amazing job on the playsuit, very pleased with it. OTK boots roll down a bit when walking but kind of manageable. Need a bit more trying out I think.

I think I've done enough shopping for a while so need to stop really. Very much enjoying to see the links here though.

libertydoddle · 24/01/2016 21:07

So many jacket links! Thank you.

Bendy I love the colour of the See by Chloe one. The Marni looks good too, I like the length. I have to be careful with blazer/jacket lengths as I have heavy thighs so jackets that hit the top of the thigh don’t look great on me. I am a size 12 on top, don’t wear black, looking for teal, brown, camel, kakhi, mustard, bronze etc

Sleep The Fold jacket looks really good. The Select Femme one might be one of those that hits at the wrong place on me. Libby does look good for workwear – have bookmarked it and The Fold.

Lara I will wait a bit before buying – I am going away for February so I’ll wait until I am back. That cardicoat is gorgeous.

Glad to hear you had a good time QueenC.

Longislandicetee · 24/01/2016 21:23

The Fold jacket is lovely isn't it? Also like the Marni. The cardi coat looks like something that would totally suit Lara but oh would look so bad on me!

Amber too funny! I have total love for the ring and bag. Grin

Hope the mini Sleeps are better.

The Chloe Faye is nice but I have a giant fear of suede despite having 3 suede bags, because I am so brutal with my bags!

FedupNagging · 24/01/2016 22:02

Gorgeous cardicoat Lara, if it were mine, I'd definitely wear it a lot.

Merriboo sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday and fab outfit.

Lots of jackets to chose from Lib; I love the grey etoil IM but don't thinks that's really your colour. The Fold jacket is really lovely and will be a good shade on you.

Queen hope you had a great weekend and come home for a rest and a detox Grin

KittyHello · 24/01/2016 22:19

Lara that card coat is beautiful, I imagine it will go with a loads in your wardrobe.

Queen glad you had a great time.

Drywhitethanks · 24/01/2016 22:30

Bendy you're good at this....great jackets.

QueenC relieved you're back in one piece and didn't drown in Guiness.

Went for lunch to a blingtastic "in place" full of "beautiful" tacky, glitzy rich folk with no taste . Excellent food, rude waiters. I should be a restaurant critic shouldn't I? Grin
Got my outfit right because I just wore something I felt me in and didn't try too hard:. Black skinnies, black ghillies, grey 3/4 sleeve trapeze fine knit, Longchamp black leather wrap bracelet and other gold bits, Gucci Disco in black, MD camel coat.....felt understated and elegant.

Longislandicetee · 24/01/2016 22:49

I finally got round to trying on the stuff from my outnet order. Thank you Blair for suggesting this dress which looks great and is a keeper. Also these MK sandals which I think will be good on hols. These PJ bottoms feel lovely. Also got a Nike crop top (half price at £14!) which I am keeping. I am returning these Lucy Choi heels. I can't put my finger on it but they just don't look good, they sort of make me look dumpy!

shopafrolic · 25/01/2016 08:12

Morning all.
Viva sorry for delay, busy weekend - I ordered a large in the sweatshirt as per the advice on the website. I am a size 12 and it is good and slouchy - probably could have gone for the medium but I like a bit of slouch.
Bendy welcome
I am surrounded by kids birthday presents and our dining room has been taken over by some 4ft Hotwheels monstrosity that DBIL bought for DS. It's not even his birthday until tomorrow!!

FedupNagging · 25/01/2016 08:48

Ootd is boden black ankle zip jeans, Woolovers jumper in blueberry, fake collar and ash jordy's. No coat, it's really warm. Sun is shining, birds are singing and the daffs are out - it feels like an early spring day. Crazy weather.

One hope you're ok - how is Onecat?

Great black dress Blingy - did you keep or return yours Blair? Can't remember.

Dry love 'understated', yesterday's outfit sounded spot on.

Am off to stay with dp's for a few days but am being very indecisive on the packing front!

maradesbois · 25/01/2016 09:12

Morning!

Glad to hear the mu went well, love reading the reports even when I wasn't there. Party went well thanks, ds and his guests had a ball and was very happy with my cake, primrose bakery recipe chocolate layer cake with choc buttercream icing and decorated with superhero Lego minifigures to match the party theme! Did a plain one without the sickly icing for adults which was yum. I hear you on the hotwheels Shop, same here!! Glad your ds had a lovely time too.

Topaz sorry you didn't make the mu but hope to catch up with you at the next one if not before. Love your uniqlo shirt by the way, very you.

Lara a big yes from me for cardi coat Smile.

Dry your outfit sounded perfect

Merriboo love your description of day out with dp. Do you have a link for your bracelet?

Bendy welcome!

Blingy glad you're better, love your vintage mulberry! A classic from before it all went a bit silly.

Ootd is black ts skinnies, skinny black polo neck, dark camel marni cashmere cardigan and tan choo bikers. Feels too warm for the shearlings today.

AmberNectarine · 25/01/2016 09:48

Glad to hear the party went well Mara but oh god reading Primrose Bakery gave me terrible flashbacks - I used their book to make the cupcake tower for my wedding (WHY?) I will never make another cupcake as long as I live.

Agree it's a lovely day fedup - have already been out for a run and was too hot in my long sleeved top!

Need to pop out to pick up a dress from Question Air - bargain DVF in the sale- and drop some shoes at the cobblers 3 pairs, that'll be 60 quid, sob. Rock and roll.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/01/2016 10:03

Morning all. Yes, it feels like spring!

Fedup I must emphasise again that the MMK dress is NAVY Grin as I'm sure Blingy found out...! (Glad you kept it, I'm sure you look great in it!)
I kept mine, was going to wear it on Sat but it would have meant layers, and I would have been even hotter. Probably would have been fine on its own!

Glad the birthday parties went well mara and Shop :)

Dry that outfit sounds perfect. Forgot to say I really liked Amber's Valentino leather bracelet. Not sure if they'd suit me.

Love my OOTD today I feel expensive! : Jaeger camelhair pencil skirt, Gap brown merino crew neck (I think a few people have this and the colour is called tobacco?), nude tights, gold jewellery and black pointy 4" pumps. Only fail was on the coat front - I probably didn't need one, but I realised I don't own a coat longer than the skirt, so went with open navy peacoat. I felt quite glam driving in with cat eye sunnies on Grin

Longislandicetee · 25/01/2016 10:08

Morning! I managed to do the school run this morning but am at home.

FedUp the dress is a very dark blue, I almost didn't get it because I also thought it was black.

Mara love the sound of the cake. Glad your ds had a good party.

Amber, Shock at baking your wedding cake. I do bake but the pressure of getting it right for a big occasion would stress me out. I outsource the kids birthday cakes and just don't tell dh the cost

Shop, you're making me shudder. They have 2 playrooms and still the hot wheels is set up in our kitchen.Hmm Dd will probably get approximately 40 presents between her school friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and godparents. They have already started arriving in the post. This is on top of the 60 presents she got at Christmas, for which I have been too sick to do thank you cards. Shudder.

Larastheme · 25/01/2016 10:34

Morning!

The blog of the day is just heart breaking Sad,

I agree that mulberry older models were very unique, there was someone wearing a gorgeous one on pin and after a search it turned out to be a vintage cross body mulberry, very similar to LV saumur ,my guess its 80s,

And double Shock at baking own wedding cake,

Thanks for the cardi coat love, there are two versions, one in 100%cashmere and another thicker wool and cotton mix I think, the cashmere one looks thinner and too drapey, the wool one is much thicker and falls nicely ,need to think very carefully about it before committing!

And a question to all of you, did any of you visit kidzania at Westfield? We are taking the dcs next Friday, and was wondering if its worth it? It's our first visit to Westfield too ! I'm dreading it TBH Blush

Longislandicetee · 25/01/2016 10:38

Bling update....

I have been loving wearing Espirit men's watch over the weekend (and today). I have child like wrists so it looks fabulously chunky on me. I bought it ages ago but dh didn't like it on me so I was going to send it back. Glad I kept it! Also loving my new Calvin Klein watch and this Calvin Klein bangle which looks very elegant. Can't wait to wear this bracelet which also arrived last week. It's so blingy though that I could only wear it with a pared down look!!
