Yes great quality, and they monogrammed it for free (I love a bit of monogramming).

Starting race training today and realised what a fair-weather runner I am when I opened my workout drawer and found innumerable tiny shorts and vests and one lonely pair of full length running tights. Ahem. Anyway, have put them on and layered up!

FedupNagging · 18/01/2016 08:30

Hi Merriboo, I find purses so hard to buy - they need to have the right amount of card slots, easy access to change, separate compartments for notes and receipts, not too big, not too heavy - awkward, moi? Current purse is a leather one from TK maxx which could do with replacing.

Queen hope you had a good night's sleep.

I take it as read that you are at home in bed today Blingy.

Shop hope you have a good week. It's obviously too early for Wine so save it for later.

Longislandicetee · 18/01/2016 09:19

Morning! Reporting in from my bed too scared that Shop knows where I work and might turn up and drag me homeGrin

Meriboo, I checked my purse and no it doesn't have a bow, it has a very slim small gold bar in the middle instead of the bow.

I have a Mulberry purse too. It was a Christmas present from dh 2/3 years ago. I have never used it because it's in my tardis of a dressing room and I can't find it.Blush

safetyzone · 18/01/2016 09:49

Welcome merriboo!

I've just bought this in the sale, Smythson is amazing quality, my previous passport holder bought 10+ years ago is still in great condition now.

Karcheer · 18/01/2016 10:02

I'm at the doctors waiting for a smear (tmi) why is it however old I get I still feel sick at the thought of it.

Smythson are lovely, my diary this year is from them and so nice.
Don't you find a passport folder a faff? As you have to take it off to go through passport control anyway .

QueenC · 18/01/2016 10:05

I have a Radley purse which I love and wears really well. They're not to everyone's taste though especially as mine has a small dog on it.
Slept ok thanks fedup apart from a late night and early morning call from MIL.
Like lib ive woken up feeling rubbish-sore throat, aching, headache. Ugh.

Morning!

Am wfh revising for mock exam tomorrow, eek. Haven't looked at these other threads mentioned, mustn't get distracted although a bagfight is tempting Grin

Dhl man came just now with my Marant sale order, first thought was tan clusters are keepers but don't need the shearling however am still wearing them so don't think they're going anywhere. Have the nervous feeling I get when shopping too much, not about money as all bargains more about volume of stuff. This year am keeping things tight, no limits will be imposed but don't have room for anything surplus to requirements in my little flat. That's 4 items already for January, enough Smile.

Stokey did you go to Lumiere? We though it was fab, ds loved the flying fish on regent st and the elephant's bum!!

merriboo I have a big LV monogram purse for day to day. It's very hard wearing and monogrammed on the inside. Also, like Amber have an Aspinal card holder also monogrammed and an hermès purse in gold (tan) togo leather with ghw to match my bag which I keep my euros in for travelling. Can't remember who bought the lovely smythson purse, safety? Lovely anyway. Really like their stuff.

karcheer enjoy your trip to selfridges, what a lovely decision to have to make.

Blingy glad to hear you're home in bed. Rest up. Xx

QueenC · 18/01/2016 12:24

Just nipped into JL to return the boots in the unneeded size. Looked through the last of the sales dregs and bought this top. I'd been after a navy going out too for a while and although I really wanted lace I love this.

I'm going to take the bag back on thurs, I already had jeans to return to top shop and would've been full of bags as for some reason the Gucci bag came in an enormous box :/
Anyway today I'll check options out :)

Karcheer · 18/01/2016 12:46

Pretty blouse queen I love dark navy.

Longislandicetee · 18/01/2016 12:58

QueenC, Radley gets bad press on here but I never get why because I think they've lost their grannyish image and not all bags have the dog.

This bag is basically a copy of the Prada double zip tote.

This bag is like the PS1.

bucket bag was all the rage last year. (Was it Gucci)

Having said that db bought dsis a Radley (with the dog tag!) 2/3 years ago. I still laugh at my sister saying to me "why? Why? Why? Does he think I am middle aged?"

Drywhitethanks · 18/01/2016 17:23

I'm back Grin .......weren't you all worried I'd done a Lawrence Oates ....."I'm going out now sledging , I may be some time"?????? Grin. Snow completely gone Hmm

Need to look at the "Falabella".......

All good entertainment but so repetitive. I just want to go on and say "will you all just let live a bit for goodness sake" Grin

No fashion news that I'll admit to

Hello Merri love it when a lurker says hello

Bling will you stay in BED please

shopafrolic · 18/01/2016 18:07

Dry what have you bought? Fess up.
First night without DH - feels weird already. Bloody boiler is playing up (something always goes wrong when DH goes away).
No fashion news. Am in jeans, Wang sweatshirt, and UGGS - classy :)
I rarely look at other threads - usually only within S&B but I certainly CBA with a bag thread.

shopafrolic · 18/01/2016 18:08

Have any of you been to Tenerife or Cyprus in April? Feedback? And / or hotel recommendations?

Cranagh · 18/01/2016 18:12

Karcheer isn't there a medium sized Marcie?

Merri, hi, I have a DVF wallet, which is lasting well. And a very old Prada wallet, which must be 20 years old but is only looking a little battered.

Shop, good luck. Dh has been away Mon-Thursdays for 6 months now. Keep busy during the week and get DS to bed on time!

Gorgeous top, QueenC.

Cranagh · 18/01/2016 19:19

This size Marcie, Karcheer? Not sure what other colours it comes in.

GeorginaWorsley · 18/01/2016 20:11

shop
We do Lanzarote in April.
Always had decent weather.

Stokey · 18/01/2016 20:59

[Grin] Dry. We didn't get any snow, the girls were gutted.

We didn't make the Lumiere either Mara. I heard the Kings Cross bit was rammed and not really worth it, but the central London bit looked great.

Radley's founder sold it a few years ago, then the brand started losing money so they hired her back as creative director and now is doing better again. I think their quality is good for the price point.

I bought a couple of dresses and a clutch in the Finery sale today, they had an extra 20% off. I'm on my phone so can't link but hope one may be suitable for the wedding in March.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 18/01/2016 21:00

my McQueen Razor wrap bracelets came and they are lovely. that's four i have now in various colours. hoping for a red one at some point

GeorginaWorsley · 18/01/2016 21:28

I've just seen that Atterley has gone into administration.
Anyone know any more?

Drywhitethanks · 18/01/2016 22:53

Shop it's going back....naughty me.

Longislandicetee · 18/01/2016 23:17

Shop we went to Aphrodite Hills in Paphos in April. I was looking at Olympic Lagoon Resort for this year but his nibs said no.HmmWe went last week of April (think it was pre dd starting school) and weather was glorious. Hope all went well today and tonight. X

Merriboo · 19/01/2016 07:03

Morning, I've been browsing your suggestions, thank you [big grin] and have a shortlong list for shopping. Mulberry ( hadn't been sure if the leather quality had dropped) Gucci (with a bar not a bow) Chloe ( an outsider as he doesn't like the soho/disco bags Hmm ) will also look at Smythson and LV- they aren't as immediately appealing online but may be better in the flesh.

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2016 08:11

Also stayed at Aphrodite in Paphos, though in June when it was, if anything too hot! Fun fact - My two most recent exes were both Greek Cypriot. Also did Lanzarote in April while pregnant with DD and it was freezing (relatively speaking, c. 16-18c), made worse by the fact the uk was experiencing a freak heatwave and it was about 30c.

OOTD is (from bottom up): burgundy rockstud flats, black tuxedo trousers, burgundy boat neck top (both gap), burgundy skinny scarf (Zara), burgundy/black/gold studded snake print leather wrap cuff (&OS), burgundy teddy coat (whistles), black cashmere hat and long wrist warmers (Johnstons of Elgin) and this bag which I've had monogrammed with my initials.

Did I mention I like burgundy?

libertydoddle · 19/01/2016 08:26

Early bed for me last night and feeling better today. Throat still scratchy though.

OOTD brown, wide leg Massimo Dutti herringbone trousers, tobacco Gap fine knit merino crew neck jumper, R&B heeled boots, rust peacoat, olive green cashmere and wool mix scarf, Brora wristwarmers.

First time wearing these trousers. Have had them for months but only got them taken up last week. Has been years since I have worn wide leg trousers to work. Feels a bit strange to have so much material flapping around my lower legs. But they are warm.
