I am going for

  1. Cut and colour. Not everyone colours their hair some of us only when we needed to at about 42
  2. Wrap dresses and big tits

Definitely. I occasionally wish to be slim and flatter chested so I could swish about in draped stuff and halter necks

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:23

now this is what I call a nice dress. Keep the fifties numbers!

Hollin I've never ordered from PUG but been very curious. It looks amazing.

I have tiny shoulders and have to get alterations otherwise they gap everywhere.

MuchasSmoochas · 30/12/2015 17:25

My friend has had a pixie cut since she was young. At age 18? A hottie. Age 42? Time for a change. Hollin who is in the 80's shot? Gorgeous George or John Taylor?

LAUGHING at the witches pic

Late to this but must agree how awful the V if Holloway things are. I did even order one once after all the fuss on here but, even though I'm a large hour glass, it looked horrifically frumpy.
I'm not sure what point you're making with the pics, Hollinhurst but think first one looks OK and 2nd one nice even if they are V of Holloway or similar, while 3 rd isn't a good look, at least for my taste, though these things are personal.

Tali - two more from PUG, the second is the amazing Monica

lurking - don't you think it's ironic that Helen Mirren is now advertising Nice and Easy blonde shade something or other? Two fingers to the 'grey is good' brigade.

NoMore - that's exactly the sort of thing I wear, love it Smile. Who's it by? please not Mint Velvet or Cos

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:30

it's by, em, VB Blush

I was going to link to a nice Goat one I love. wdyt? not on the site any more but the sort of thing I'd love in a beautiful racing green. Haven't had my colours done but that would suit me.

I mean a dark green would be lovely. Wouldn't have the cojones for this colour

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 17:32

Victoria Beckham??

Oh shit - that's even worse than Cos, MV or Roland Mouret.

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 17:33

Love that red one too - have one similar in that colour

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:33

I know but love what you love (what sparks joy) and then look for a cheaper version. I'm getting confused with my threads. I'm marie kondo-ing

SwedishEdith · 30/12/2015 17:34

Yes, I noticed Helen Mirren in those ads and thought of mn.

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:34

Wow! you're brave but I bet if you bought it it looks amazing on you.

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 17:34

Profound and byootiful No

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 17:36

That last post was to your 'love what you love' - not sure it looks amazing on me (thanks though Smile), but that's the beauty of getting older and caring less Grin

MuchasSmoochas · 30/12/2015 17:39

YY to the curly girl "method". No thanks, I looked like I'd just left the swimming. Blow dry, straighten, then curl, that's the secret, teach your hair who's boss.

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:40

yes, because earlier on the thread somebody was saying don't be a sheep ! so I am happy to like what I really like. Trouble is affording it.

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:41

lol at curlygurl, another crazy idea i had! i'm back to straightening the bejayzus out of my hair again.

NoMore314 · 30/12/2015 17:42

Another crazy idea I got from mumsnet that is! Mind you, kondo-ing, I'm going to throw out my spare hair drier and my cheaper straighteners.

belgina · 30/12/2015 17:42

Nomore: I find that black dress you posted incredibly boring, give me a 50's style dress any day!

The only thing I agree with is the whole bra thing. A good decent well fitting bra takes pounds off, gives a waist & generally a better shape, IME. Other than that others can wear what they like, as long as it fits. I have friends that look amazing in Fly boots or Irregular Choice shoes or Clarks brogues or whatever. I have friends with amazing style that I couldn't/daren't pull off too. I tend to stick to what I consider quite boring Cath Kidston-y type clothes. I had a wrap dress period, but with bigger boobs, you do need at vest underneath. I did like them in my BF days though; very useful.

I would also love to have my colours done, I heard many great things :D

I purposely avoid black/white/grey/beige as too easy & frankly too boring ;)

SirChenjin · 30/12/2015 17:42

It's true - so much of the lovely stuff is eye wateringly expensive.
