how much do spend on personal grooming a year?

So thinking of things like hair cut / colour, make up, hair removal, cosmetic procedures. I haven't worked out my own spending, but thought it would be an interesting thing to do.

Not much I don't think
£500. (£15 a month wax and dye eyebrows, £30 every 8 weeks hair cut, and not much else, maybe bit of make up)

I only really pay for my hair which costs £30 every 3 months or so. I stopped having my eyebrows done after having them massacred one time too many so do them myself and manage my other facial hair with a epistick and have just bought a lumea for the rest of it. Probably spend £60 a year on make up and £100 a year on perfume.

I can't imagine I'll ever have plastic surgery.

I reckon about £1k (hair every 8 weeks, semi regular manicures, annual pedi, monthly sports massage). Don't spend much on make up or toiletries

That sounds a lot and I regard myself as low maintenance!

An absolute fortune I'm addicted to make up and beauty products (although I keep them sealed unless I want to start using them to preserve their shelf life) I dye my hair at home once a month, and due to pregnancy hormones deciding that I needed adult acne my skin has decided the only thing that will work is Clinique with the three daily items I use costing £57 a pop :/
I always check out bargain stores though they have some fab bargains when they get old stock from other stores like Barry M Rimmel etc

So a normal year for me is about £300.

I've just had semi-permanent brows done at £295 and am contemplating botox at £125, so this year will be about an extra £420 more.

Big bottle of Aveda conditioner £90

Not much on make up - maybe £150

Probably adds up to quite a bit...

It sounds a lot, but isn't - I rarely have any salon beauty treatments like facials, i do my own nails and dye my hair, I only use a couple of make up products (although premium brands) and I stock up on skincare whilst it's on offer.

I guess my biggest expense is hair removal. I have PCOS so excess hair and spotty skin is a problem for me.

I have spent £20 on a haircut this year, that is it! I do my own eyebrows. I don't colour my hair and I don't have manicures,pedicures, facials or massages.

I suspect this is going to be more than I expect...

Shit that's nearly £1700. Scary. I am def not high maintenance in my opinion...apart from my hair!!

If I had the cash it would be a lot more!!

Hair cuts £150 ( cheap cut every 6 weeks) Hair colour £200. Mostly home dying with occasional salon job.
Hair removal £300 plus a year. Mostly facial hair (waxing/threading) plus the cost of razors and immac for legs/pits/foof.
Maybe £500 on toiletries/perfume and £300 on skincare, about £150 on makeup, I don't wear a lot and it lasts for ages.
£100 on nails, I have occasional shellac done for holidays etc.

Nothing. I do it all myself. Never have been into the "going to the beautician" thing. Just not me. Colour my own hair, paint own nails and toenails, do own eyebrows with tweezers. Im sure it must be enjoyable though to have someone pamper you but just never done it.

Not much - £35 every 8 weeks for a hair cut £230, very little else, maybe £50 on a couple of lipsticks and some mascara. Foundation every 18 months - 2 years £25-35.

Blods I'm the same except more of a plain jane. like going without make up save once or twice a year or if I'm feeling girly which is rare.but if i do get make up unfortunately i fall for big brands.

Hair husband trims, last time i had a restyle 6 yrs ago now I'm Rapunzel. don't need to dye hair yet unless i fancy a different colour.

never had manicures pedicures would be nice i suppose but someone would have to force me into the beauticians because I'm not excited by the idea to spend my money on it

waxing i do at home, i think its 20 quid a tub, lasts few months. eyebrows i don't do anymore like it natural don't like pencil thin eyebrows and realised they don't grow back as you get older more scarce so i don't touch them.

my most expensive products are my perfumes. last one was 120 quid, plus another 50 for a cheaper everyday one, bt they last a year or more, this s how i justify it lol

30 quid for my moisturiser but everything else makes me go red i have sensitive skin. that lasts 2 months.

id say I'm pretty low maintenance, or no maintenance lol

i do like trying out Korean skin products again this may be once a year or once every 2 years its not a monthly thing, its when i feel a bit girly, i am a bit tom boyish

Katrarzyna you do sound similar to me in this respect. I do wear mascara most days though, cut my own hair and colour it blond myself,. Hairdressers always made a complete hash of both despite going to lots. I use rosehip oil as moisturiser which lasts me for months. Perfumes are Chanel which are the bigger size and last me a year and are given to me as Christmas presents.

I think it must be very relaxing for those who enjoy trips to the salon but just not for me.

I've only had my hair cut once this year and it cost £10! I don't dye it.
Make up I like the expensive brands but keep it quite minimal. Would cost about £150 to replace it all (excluding brushes!). Perfume and skincare are usually given as gifts from dh for birthday/Xmas.
Currently saving for laser hair removal.
So atm, not a lot. In the region of £450 per year x

Plus maybe £80 a year on toiletries and hair dye (don't really wear make-up) - so probably around £220

I pay £40 for a haircut every 6 weeks and that seems like a huge extravagance. Other than that not much. I tint my own eyelashes and use an epilator rather than wax. Don't colour my hair or do anything to my nails other than keep them tidy. A bit of powder for makeup.

I do spend quite a bit on my fitness, but that's my hobby rather than for the sake of my appearance.

I'd love to be the sort of person who's more "done" but I can't seem to find the time or inclination or justify the expense (to myself)

I do wonder how others do it. I know several people who have very ordinary jobs who think nails, spray tan, highlights etc are necessaries and I just don't know how they do it, either time wise or financially.

Hair every 4 months £40.

I don't want to even add that up....

I say nails and waxing every month but in reality it's every 5/6 weeks. It's easier to estimate on a monthly basis.

Over £800 on myself. Woah!
