Anyone else think they actually look better without make-up?

Make up just doesn't suit me at all - especially as I've got older. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not ( & never was ) particularly good looking to start with.
Make up only seems to suit attractive women.
Anyone else feel they look better 'natural' ?

Personally no, I have blemishes be really awful without a bit of lippy. However I have a close friend who I've known 20years, she wears make up about once a year (she still has the same nail polishes she bought 15years ago!) and it doesn't suit her at all. She looks so much better natural.

I think everyone looks better with some makeup

I've gone the other way. I barely wore any make up until this year. I think its partly that I'm much better at it, i.e. i think I've got good at applying it and making myself look more done and partly being knackered.

tinted moisturiser properly applied is great.

I don't wear makeup apart from very rare occasions, think 2-3 times a year at the most. I don't like the feel of it on my skin and I don't like how I look with it on.

Whether I look better or not, I don't know. At 43, I probably would look less tired round the eyes with some concealer but I'm fine with how I look without so far.

I prefer how most people look without makeup. I think people are just used to seeing makeup, and that's why it looks better to them. I think most people look pretty fake with makeup on, unless it is very subtle and skillful.

Women with makeup look just as weird to me as men with makeup.

I definitely look better with make up, I don't wear a lot but like to enhance my features. If I'm not going out at the weekend I don't wear it.

No. I'm sleep deprived and eat too much cake so my skin looks bloody awful. Even a bit of concealer and mascara does wonders for me right now!

I have two thoughts

Firstly, I think if make up is done well, it can absolutely enhance how you look. I really like the 'my face but better' look make up can achieve, which is subtle but polished.

Secondly, the people who may not suit make may be more due to their personality than anything. Eg if you have a friend who is an 'Earth mother' type.

It's a lucky person who looks better without it .. I often think those girls who do strange things with their eyebrows and such would certainly look better the way nature intended .. I wear bb cream and mascara everyday .. People often say to me what lovely skin I have and I look young so I guess I'm good at applying it ... The idea of make up is you look better but you can't see the make up... I think this is where most people go wrong !!

I only wear foundation, powder and mascara and I think I look better with it- my face seems slimmer and i look fresher and more feminine (which is my own preference for how I look).
Tbh I wish I could do my makeup better, I don't suit eyeshadow or lipstick at all and just look like a toddler who's been in their mums bag. I'd love to be one of those people with perfectly contoured face and colours that suit them.

I think most women over about 25 look better with makeup if they apply it properly.

I seem to have got a bit paler as I've got older so a bit of blusher and lippy makes all of the difference. And of course mascara works wonders for anyone's eyes!

No makeup is better than badly or obviously, heavily applied makeup.

I look better with makeup but have noticed that as I've got older less is more. I can't wear eyeliner anymore as my eyes just look like pissholes in the snow.

I only wear subtle eyelash extensions and a bit of fake tan. I have dark eyebrows so I feel that they provide quite a lot of 'framing'. I just don't suit lipstick or eyeshadow, it ages me, I feel fresher, younger and more attractive with the bare minimum.

However, sans eyelash extensions and fake tan nobody would look twice at me.

Oh and I'm 41 if that matters.

Oh yes, less is definitely more as you get older.

Definitely better with a bit of make-up...but nothing heavy. CC cream to even my skin tone and a bit of mascara and eyeliner to define my eyes.

Eyeshadow, blusher and bright lipstick make me look like a clown.

I think most people look better without. Really well done makeup is lovely and would improve most people. But that's not the way most people do it

I look about 12 without make up. Not in a good way though.

Imo most people would look absolutely fine without it. You get used to seeing faces with make up which makes them look odd without it. Men don't wear it and look fine. They would look odd with it. It's what you get used to.
On the other hand hey, have fun, wear some make up when you feel like it. But not because you think you must, because that is what society expects you to do.

I like a tinted moisturizer and mascara. Anything more and I look drag queen.

I walked through a department store today and from afar these young women look flawless, close up they look like they have Halloween or stage make up on. What's that about? Bloody contouring madness.

I look like my DDad without makeup and I loved my DDad so that's OK for me

I hate strong makeup and silly colours, green or blue eyeshadow, bright red lipstick etc. but most people look much better in natural makeup, the exception would be particularly beautiful people who just don't need it.
