I like her hair tonight.

Oh yes, lovely. She really does suit an updo

howtorebuild · 20/10/2015 22:39

Her Taylor Swift fringe, or bangs as the Mail refers to it, suits the updo.

Updo? She wore her hair up, not an updo! And looked beautiful but I bet state banquets are tedious.

HerRoyalNotness · 21/10/2015 00:33

I think she really suits the strong colours too, the red looks great on her. I remember she wore a green/blue gown which she looked stunning in too. Seems to suit her better than the pastels.

Francoitalialan · 21/10/2015 00:43

I bet the first couple of banquets with the dresses and the jewels are really exciting and then suddenly they're incredibly dull. I bet she's sitting there thinking "I could be at home now, playing with the baby, watching the apprentice on catchup and drinking dead good wine."

I bet the wine is top notch there tonight but she can't really stop the waiters and say "leave the bottle love, I'm tying one on tonight."Grin

diggerdigsdogs · 21/10/2015 01:08

franco Grin

mumchkin · 21/10/2015 01:56

She appeared to be drinking water! So didn't even enjoy the wine. Agree it would be horribly dull.

HerRoyalNotness · 21/10/2015 03:33

Grin Franco

I can't even imagine what you'd talk about with the PM of China.

"Sooooo, I hear you do a good trade in knockoffs, fancy sending some my way?"

diggerdigsdogs · 21/10/2015 05:10

It's probably baijo Envy

Blueberrymuffint0p · 21/10/2015 07:56

What do they talk about?! I've often wondered how the hell you'd make polite chit chat with these visiting dignitaries. I'm guessing she's fully prepped on suitable topics of conversation but it must be so tedious!

ihatethecold · 21/10/2015 08:22

My DH was at BP last night working.
I'll try get some gossip of him when he comes home later today.
Agree Kate looked lovely. Very regal.

SinglePringle · 21/10/2015 08:39

Really?! I think her hair ages her - looked too stiff and more suited to a woman fifty years plus.

Horsemad · 21/10/2015 09:38

Strategic move wearing red - the Chinese think red brings 'good fortune'. Smile

Francoitalialan · 21/10/2015 09:42

Hang on IhatethecoldShock

Your husband was at BP!? As a guest? God how posh!

SoupDragon · 21/10/2015 09:44

That red was stunning colour. It looked great with her dark hair and the diamonds.

SellFridges · 21/10/2015 09:47

That dress was lush. Really gorgeous.

ihatethecold · 21/10/2015 09:53

No not a guest!

Obviously I won't be divulging any state secrets. Wink

I know, can you imagine how dull it would be, Bet her face ached by the end of the night!

Francoitalialan · 21/10/2015 11:13

I imagine they have a bottle of nice stuff on ice in the Bentley to sink in the way home.

F0xglove · 21/10/2015 11:16

Yes, I thought that was a good choice of colour too! I bet she was wishing he'd give the queen a bit more attention. Kate pays the price for Camilla being so dull................ Camilla delighted her frumpy presence not required.

sofato5miles · 21/10/2015 12:20

Camilla striked me as very naughty

howtorebuild · 21/10/2015 12:26

Camilla is reportedly very good company, and Kate dull.

a good night to be glad you aren't a royal.

note the imported pro-China demo that the delegation brought with them, to drown out the human rights demonstrators.
