Oh well, if we're shopping in Sainsbo, I like this:

tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/tustorefront/?pagetype=product&productcode=128930688-Cream

Collymollypuff · 21/10/2015 17:43

Only I do wonder if the norkily over-endowed should wear such a thing. So I have not tried one on. Sad

cressetmama · 21/10/2015 17:49

Like the stripes; the turtleneck might discourage trying, as I am also norky. And it is a long way to Sainsbo.

Collymollypuff · 21/10/2015 18:00

Come and visit me, Cressetmama. I have the most mahoosive Sainsbo and M&S on my doorstep. Smile

motherinferior · 21/10/2015 18:08

I fear it would not work....

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/10/2015 18:10

Rose, like this?

NUFC69 · 21/10/2015 18:14

No decent sized Sainsbos near me, either. My DSis quite often buys from them. My throat is raw, and my nose is dripping so feeling miserable.

Rose, your poor DM and you.

BD, I am glad to hear that you are having a stress free time - keep up the good work.

I think I must come from a boring family (either that or the skeletons are still in the closet). DBiL did their family history and the only thing he discovered was that there were several babies born seven months after weddings!

Collymollypuff · 21/10/2015 18:30

I know that really, MI. Sad I posted it so that all you less porky-norky Crepeys could benefit from my superb finding skills. Grin

hattymattie · 21/10/2015 18:38

Typed a phone post about two hours ago which seems to have got lost.

Have been shoe shopping with DS which was very trying. He is a total diva and worse than the girls. Also kids shoes in France stop at 38, mens shoes start at 40 and DS is 39! Oh for summer and converse.

DD2 has checked in from the Eurostar so all is well. Apparently she loved Imperial - she better get her grades up.

hattymattie · 21/10/2015 18:41

Grin at belt Mrs S. I have lost my much loved black patent leather belt. It was from M&S of all places and looked great with jeans. Everything here is covered in sequins.

herbaceous · 21/10/2015 18:42

That'll learn me. Hopped in the car to get DS from after-school club, and it took me 45 minutes to drive a 15-minute walk. I was late, and he was in the office, with all the other unloved children.

I didn't see your jumper in my Sainsbury's, Molly. I rather like it! Though being With Nork, and them being increasingly low slung, I'm not sure I could get away with it any more.

motherinferior · 21/10/2015 18:45

Herbs, get yourself to Bravissimo. You'll be pert and va-va-voomed with one click of the credit card.

motherinferior · 21/10/2015 18:48

That goes for you too, Molly. Or there is a shop near me of similar, er, capacity. I know it well Wink.

Any sarf Londoners fancy a half term drinkie? Monty might be up for it too...

Lalsy · 21/10/2015 19:01

Hello all. Nice to see you hanging on in here Cresset.

I like the look of Liar's League.

Grappling this week with work, half term (ds gets two weeks), bathroom being retiled to put a stop to weird electrics, AF arriving 10 (10, x) days early to coincide with bathroom being full of men, weird electrics and general chaos. Luvvly jubbly.

MrsS, were they definitely twins? Could the aunt actually have been the mother? I don't know much about my family which is quite small, but packs its fair share of secrets, and I think something like that happened.

Collymollypuff · 21/10/2015 19:17

DEFINITELY UP FOR HALF-TERM DRINKS

Dh is driving me mad. I can do any evening next week except Tuesday 27, when I will be dining at Caminos Kings Cross with the group you have so kindly mentored me about, mebbe a year ago? With the help of your suggestions and our fabulous professor, all grievances were aired and I am now besties with the chief trouble-maker. Smile

bigTillyMint · 21/10/2015 19:19

I might MI but not until the Fr night!

Like the trews and dress Herbs - work clothesWink

Had good feedback on DS at Parents Eve Wine Fingers crossed he can keep it up!

DD has gone off to a gig with mates - not sure she got her essay finished before she went....

Cremo · 21/10/2015 19:34

Mucho sympathy Lalsy. Sounds like a bit of a nightmare. Keeping my legs crossed for you.Wink
Been to see dps this afternoon and dad seems so much better than last week ( phew) and had an actual conversation with dm without too much finishing if sentences , or snorts of derision. Wow.

BD I have the wretched meeting tomorrow, but after consultation with the Acas helpline I'm not holding up much hope for a happy conclusion. I have a list of questions. I need a bloody job. And although I hate what's happening to mine, I'm going to have to sit tight. Maybe it'll just be a relief.

Mrs S I love hearing about your family. Such interesting lives those relies had. My own family is very complex and full of step families and half-siblings and secret children. And of course refugees from Slovakia and victims of The Clearances in Scotland etc would be very interesting to research in my dotage.Smile

Lalsy · 21/10/2015 20:22

Good luck tomorrow Crem. I think certainty is often a relief - it is very tiring running 456 permutations through your brain all the time, especially if none are great and all are a bit of a leap into the unknown. Hope you feel a bit more settled after it.

manandbeast · 21/10/2015 20:28

mother how far saarf are we talking here Grin

Auriga · 21/10/2015 20:34

Sang at a wonderful memorial service in a packed country church this morning. Glimpse of another world: Eton, the Guards, old-established family firm. Listened to a selection of hilarious anecdotes about investment trusts (who knew?) and readings about Tibet, the Highlands and the Hebrides.

Just deleted boring paragraph about juggling lots of demands. I urgently need to get better at this Sad.

Stropperella · 21/10/2015 20:39

I have an interview tomorrow. At least I think I have. Confused School called on Mon to acknowledge receipt of my application(!!) and then emailed yesterday to ask me if I could poss make 10am tomorrow. I can't, as I'm taking dd to her driving theory test , but then they called this morning to ask me to come at 2pm tomorrow and then I am "meeting the headteacher" at 3pm. They haven't asked me to teach, only to bring in some lesson plans and examples of resources I have made. This is a place that plays by its own rules.
I am feeling a little wibbly, as this is all quite strange in more ways than one. It's a place I happen to know quite well, as my db was a pupil there. Having my own personal "Back to the Future" moment.

Collymollypuff · 21/10/2015 20:52

YouTube is good for practising driving theory. Ds had practised on YouTube the actual driving clip he got in the test. Shock As long as it doesn't unnerve your dd, Stropps.

Collymollypuff · 21/10/2015 20:55

And of course, good luck for your interview! Thanks

bigTillyMint · 21/10/2015 21:09

Cremo, hope tomorrow goes OK

Lalsy, you poor thing - so glad I don't have that any more (love my HRT!)

manandbeast are you a newbie or a name-changer?

StroppsSmile

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/10/2015 21:28

I am without DH and without DC next week so definitely up for drinkies. Grin

I have my old team from Paris descending on me for curry tomorrow night and need to crack on and do some cooking.

Crem - it is interesting, I was out with some of my cousins the other week, and due to some family feud, they did not know any of the German speaking side at all, and barely knew the Hungarian lot, and were grilling me about both lots, as they had met them at a funeral and didn't understand how we were all related and why they didn't know that side of the family at all.
