I send the Boden catalogue straight to recycling these days. I tried getting them to remove me from their mailing list, but they're remarkably persistent. It is a waste of trees. However, I almost feel like pitching up at a "Boden shopping party" and trying that dress on for a laugh. I am sure it would not actually suit anyone, but especially not a short, sturdy, specky person like me.

Lalsy, I am looking forward to seeing if there are any more answers to your trainers question, as I have the same prob. I have been in clown shoes more or less all summer and now find everything else too hurty for my back. Although my old el naturalista dumpy ankle boots seem ok.
BTM, oh dear, a Grade 1 tear doesn't sound good. Hope it knits together as it should and he doesn't get too antsy while he can't play. Dd is moaning because she is going to miss a biology field trip on Friday and she is supposed to be going out with some people from her French class last year tomorrow. She is still stationed on the sofa with her leg balanced on a pile of pillows on a footstool and is clutching an ice pack to her misshapen leg. Re: mansion parties - there are a lot of those. A consequence of an influx into the sixth form of a fairly large number of pupils from the various private schools, post-GCSE. Interestingly, the debauchery at those sorts of parties appears significantly worse than those at the more modest abodes of the majority of the people she was at school with previously.
Addle, I have only trained in working with primary/lower secondary pupils, but my recommendation would be that she looks at using assistive technology e.g. Dragon Dictate/Naturally Speaking and the like. There are also lots of apps developed specifically to help dyslexics. Maybe the website of the British Dyslexia Association might be of help, e.g. Technology
