Derek I bought the A'pieu cushion but had to give it away. In hindsight I should have kept it to make a DIY cushion. Anyway, for me the colour was awful. It made my skin grey and dull. The coverage was fab though and felt lovely when on.

IsaBisaBuildsaBoat · 17/11/2015 08:30

I don't really understand what a cushion is....?

teawamutu · 17/11/2015 18:50

If I normally wear light tinted moisturiser or medium beige mineral powder, what missha shade would I want?

derektheladyhamster · 17/11/2015 20:39

My skin is still a mess - more cystic acne appearing on my chin by the second it seems.

So I wonder if it might be my Hadalabo Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam which I've been using for 6 weeks, I have read reports of this causing breakouts. Or it could be the new retin a I bought, which is very unlike the last one and is really greasy.

On the positive, if I find it's one of these 2 products, I might not be reacting to my bb cushion!! Grin

wickedfairy · 17/11/2015 21:20

Hi All,

Haven't been on here for ages but has still been AB'ing away Smile

I am currently cleansing using Skinfood Black sugar oil, followed by Sum37 MRC stick. Then Missha FTE, Scinic AIO honey ampoule Tony Moly Panda cream, House of Joseon cream and Mizon White sleep pack.

I also use CosRX AHA, BHA and sometimes a low dose retinA, for exfoliation and sometimes OST C20, although I think it may have oxidised now.

My skin is looking pretty good actually, I am pleased. The occasional spot but mainly quite glow-y. Impressive!

How is everyone else getting on? Hope all is going well and the Etude House visit looked great Heathrow - I would have loved that!!

ForSaleChesterDraws · 18/11/2015 07:11

Has anybody heard of these guys www.kawaiipanda.co.uk? I've just ordered a beauty box and sheet masks from them. Apparently it's all full sized products.

Stevie77 · 18/11/2015 11:03

Hello y'all, not had a chance to report but had my Softymo oil cleanser delivered and after using it for a few weeks I'm very pleased!

One thing though, I had perhaps unrealistic expectations that it'll unclog my pores and draw out blackheads like some people on Reddit mentioned, but nothing much like this happens. Perhaps I need to keep rubbing it in but I lose the will to live after 5 mins Grin

derektheladyhamster · 18/11/2015 13:40

Can you purge after 4 weeks. I'm getting desperate for reasons why my skin has gone to pot. I started bha & aha about a month - 6 weeks ago and no purging. But now my t zone looks like a moonscape Angry
The spots on my cheeks have cleared up, I think my missha cushion was to blame for those, but I have horrible red angry sore zits all around my chin & nose.

teawamutu · 18/11/2015 20:20

Dammit, I am now desperate for a kawaii beauty box!

Specifically the October one which had the mamonde mask I really want anyway :-( mumsnet costs me a fortune...

mintbiscuit · 19/11/2015 17:10

Hello! Have been lurking for a while and finally plucked up courage to post. Have learnt lots from all the threads!

So I can stop spending so much bloody money on overpriced products here, I decided to dip my toe in the korean/asian beauty world. It started off as a toe....

Fyi I have combo skin, though more dry than oily. Prone to occasional acne around jawline which leaves PIH that takes forever (I mean years!) to go. Getting on a bit so am noticing more lines. Always thought my skin was sensitive but I've been working on repairing my skin barrier (using right ph products) and am finding I can actually tolerate a lot more products!

Today I tried out the Hada Labo creamy gel sunscreen spf 50. Omg! Love it! It's light, non greasy, no white cast, doesn't irritate me and is a perfect primer! I've tried a lot of sunscreens and I think I have found 'the one'. It's early days and I'm praying it won't break me out. I've even ordered another 2 bottles as I'm that impressed! To be fair I haven't tried the Biore one (am still waiting on that delivery). Am impressed with the hada labo HA cleansing foam too. Still waiting on the HA lotion which I'm hoping will be just as good!

Wickedfairy how are you finding the Joseon cream? I'm so tempted by this as it gets good reviews and I don't feel I have the right moisturiser in my routine yet.

mintbiscuit · 19/11/2015 17:20

derek I feel your pain about the cystic acne. How does your overall skin feel at the moment? Does it feel tight after the HA cleansing foam? Just wondering if your skin is dehydrated and over compensating with oil production?

Not AB related but you could try drinking several cups of peppermint or spearmint tea a day. It has been shown to inhibit androgen activity which causes excess oil production. I actually found it helped a lot when I went through a period of cystic acne. Google it!

HopefulAnxiety · 19/11/2015 20:47

Best Korean foaming cleanser for dry skin? Also has anyone tried the Holika Holika olive or green tea cleansers (cream cleanser or foam)? Those huge bottles are very tempting!

wickedfairy · 19/11/2015 21:55

Mint - I really like the Joseon cream, it has a lovely subtle scent and it is fairly rich, without being too heavy. Lovely jar and comes beautifully packaged (which has nothing to do with its function, obviously!).

This is my second jar and I will repurchase again. It's not the cheapest AB cream out there, but it is good. I have dry skin btw.

IsaBisaBuildsaBoat · 22/11/2015 11:29

I have been having a good time with my AB products. Waiting on Roseroseshop delivery of lots of different samples and I'm going to give some to friends and family as Christmas presents.

In the meantime, I got a sample of Benton Snail Bee Essence with another delivery and my skin LOVED it. Does anyone know where I can get it in the UK with fast shipping?

HopefulAnxiety · 22/11/2015 17:06

Isa a cushion is a cushion foundation.

IsaBisaBuildsaBoat · 22/11/2015 17:19

Hopeful, I just don't get it! Is it just a foundation that you apply with one of those sponge things? Is it cushiony ON YOUR FACE? I don't get it!

HopefulAnxiety · 22/11/2015 19:34

It's a sponge/cushion soaked in foundation that you then squidge down with your brush/whatever you're applying with to get some out. Essentially it makes liquid foundation super transportable although you end up getting less, also for liquid eyeliner etc. It's just liquid foundation, not cushiony on your face!

IsaBisaBuildsaBoat · 22/11/2015 19:42

Thank you so much for explaining. Finally I understand!

mintbiscuit · 23/11/2015 17:32

Hi all - heads up in case it hasn't been mentioned. bitsandbobsbeauty have got a 50% off black friday sale. I haven't bought from there before so thought it a good opportunity to try them out. Smile

GrinAndTonic · 07/12/2015 20:12

I thought I'd revive the thread a bit and tell you all about my mini haul from Jolse.
Firstly samples. They send ALL the samples.
Secondly, I bought skin power licorice ampoule. It is lovely. It is helping reduce the redness in my skin. I also bought the cosrx whitening power essence. I have no idea if it is dong anything but it feels nice.

IsaBisaBuildsaBoat · 08/12/2015 18:28

I bought loads of sample from Roseroseshop which arrived recently! So exciting.

mowglik · 09/12/2015 14:28

GandT I think I have both those and really like the cosrx essence. Is the skin power the Li Effector serum? Ive been using it on and off for the last few weeks but not sure if its doing much. My skin seems to go through cycles of being glowy and gorgeous and then suddenly I lose the glowiness and skin starts to look sallow again so not sure if its working for me yet.

Ive pared my routine down to products I really like now though and haven't ordered anything in a while. Hope everyone else is enjoying their routines!

GrinAndTonic · 10/12/2015 10:01

Mowglik That's the one. I am not sure if the Li effector syrum is actually doing anything. I have had a few random breakouts but I think that is more hormonal then anything else.

I think I have my routine down pat. I seem to have an awful lot of ampoules and serums now. I just ordered the LJH teatree one. No idea where it will fit in with the licorice and propolis Grin

lelf79 · 10/12/2015 23:47

Hi all, long time lurker here. I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable ladies could advise me

I've just received the Missha TIME REVOLUTION The First Treatment Essence, Hada-Labo Shirojyun Arbutin Milk and the Hada-Labo Shirojyun Arbutin Milk
Does anyone know if i can use them all together and which order i should use them in? Also how on earth do i apply? i've tried using a cotton pad but it seems a giant waste of product Confused

TIAFlowers

GrinAndTonic · 11/12/2015 02:58

Welcome to a cult that you will never leave Grin

The main rules when it comes to Asian beauty is layering you products in a specific way. So cleanse, actives then everything else. Thin to thick is the best way to do it.
The essence goes on before the the hado-labo milk. You only mentioned those two. What other products are you using?
