Just place marking really I keep losing you all.

derektheladyhamster · 24/10/2015 18:30

If I use the savers witch hazel as a toner, do I need to leave a wait time before bhas or ahas?
I think I'm in love with cosrx products. I've had a tester of the snail mucin stuff, but I've spent a fortune and Xmas is coming. Are there any cheaper snail products that will be good? Otherwise I'll have to wait until after Xmas Sad

lucysmam · 24/10/2015 18:39

Nope, I'm using the Savers Witch Hazel too. I've decanted it into my old Black Sugar Oil bottle too so it goes further - one pump into hands is plenty for my face Smile

goodasitgets · 25/10/2015 02:23

I got my second kawaii panda beauty box today, still really impressed with it

GrinAndTonic · 25/10/2015 02:31

Well it is a thumbs up for the scinic propolis ampoule. Good sized bottle, cheap, doesnt make my face irritated and it is cheap (such a bonus I will say it twice). I was having issues with the benton snail bee lotion being sticky but I now mix the ampoule and lotion together and it goes on and is absorbed great.
Oh I also bought the sun bears methol 50+ sunscreen. It is very watery and tingly when applied but I wore it outside yesterday and didn't get any redness from the sun (and this is western Queensland 30'c before 11am nearly summer sun). So it goes on my buy again list.
I am still having a big purge on my jawline. Lots of closed comodones but no white heads. I am wondering if I should reintroduce the vitamin C while my skin is already bad?

wickedfairy · 25/10/2015 08:21

Well, I have ordered a few more bits:

Reordered Skinfood black sugar oil - the banila didn't remove make up as well as this and this works well
Mizon snail eye cream - have realised I don't have an eye cream any more, so have rectified that
House of Joseon cream - reordered as it is lovely and nice and hydrating for winter time
Tony Moly Pands cream - cute packaging and maybe jjust another cream for layering
Mizon good night white sleeping mask - reordered as running low. Its good and has a nice amount of niacinimide in it, for reducing my sun spots

I think I need one more thing - but what? Another ampoule?

I do Missha FTE, Hada Labo, (Missha Super Aqua snail treatment but I have just run out), Scinic AIO Honey ampoule, Joseon cream.

What do you think?

AmazingDisgrace · 25/10/2015 12:02

Has Mizon's Returning Starfish cream been discontinued? I can only find it on Amazon at the outrageous price of £46.99 at the moment :(

Questi0ns · 25/10/2015 14:20

Ok I have totally avoided these threads forever because I am hardcore broke and these make me want to buy everything, but I am BACK!!

I need some help.. For Christmas I want to put together a selection of products for my mum. She is 60 so completely different skin needs to me...

Can anyone recommend Korean skin care products for older skin?

She has big pores, sagging skin. Skin is naturally oily but prone to dry patches from not being looked after. I would seriously love any recommendations!

Also freaking out about the Mizon returning starfish being discontinued?? I can't find it anywhere. I can find the "gold" version, is that what they sell now???

Glad to be back!

lucysmam · 25/10/2015 15:57

Has the starfish maybe been reformulated? Mizon took their 8% aha off the 'shelves' a while back to reformulate & it was hard to get hold of for a while.

Questi0ns, how 'into' skincare is your mam? Would she use a cleansing oil & all the other bits that come with an AB routine?

I have oily skin & seem to benefit from the multiple layers rather than just chucking a blob of heavy cream at myself Grin.

Can type my rotine out later on if it might help? (Just about to serve up tea).

Questi0ns · 25/10/2015 16:09

lucysmam she's not into skincare at all but I want to get her a full routine so that I can outline all the steps and have her try it. I think at the moment she would think it all too expensive and not bother but if its a gift I am sure she would use it.

Would love to see your routine!

I am wondering if the gold starfish is the new version of returning starfish..

has anyone used Mizon gold starfish cream yet Debating right now weather to buy it or not..

Questi0ns · 25/10/2015 16:21

Also can anyone recommend a seller of My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Sheet Masks that is legit? I keep reading that all the ebay sellers are selling fakes...

GrinAndTonic · 25/10/2015 17:02

From info on reddit it would seem that it is being discontinued. Somewhere it was mentioned that it was stopped due to overfishing the pest starfish and causing issues with other starfish.

Wuestions I'd start with a basic kit for beginners
Cleanser
Scinic propolis ampoule
Mizon snail all in one
Emulsion of some kind - I like xavita goat milk
Heavier moisturiser - I'm loving guerrison9 horse oil cream
Mizon snail repairing gel

AngelaRipp0n · 26/10/2015 22:32

Wicked what about a serum? I recently bought the toosowoong time shift one and really like it, also has ninacinamide in it. I use it after honey ampoule and before snail Aoi.

teawamutu · 27/10/2015 06:43

Second roseroseshop delivery arrived yday. Not quite as successful as the first:
Tonymoly blueberry foam cleanser - did cleanse my face but also made my eyes sting! Slightly galling as was the only reason I paid for shipping. Ah well.
Mizon AIO Snail Cream (tube) - OK but not as hydrating as I expected.
Mizon Essential Corrector - two level spray, very light, again v nice but not heavily hydrating.

So I'm still looking for something at night for dry skin. Am thinking the Holika Holika red wine pack?

Am loving playing with it all though :-)

mowglik · 27/10/2015 10:11

Grinandtonic I use the sun bears and really like it too, I have the non mentholated one though. No alcohol but still really light - kind of what j wanted LRP ultra fluid to be but wasn't

I finished one bottle of the LJH propolis ampoule I was using and switched to tosowoong sparkling propolis ampoule I had bought at the same time. I have spots in weird places now and my skin has lost that glow. Luckily I have another bottle of LJH waiting in the wings but thought I'd give Tosowoong a try.. Going to relegate this to body now.

Sorry can't give recs for above, I have oily skin, however I do really like Bioessence sleep mask - it's got a really funny texture but it's so hydrating yet non oily. I alternate this with holika holika white wine therapy which is lighter

GrinAndTonic · 27/10/2015 20:59

Tea The guerrison9 horse oil cream is soooo thick and moisturising that I want to slather it all over my body. However at AUS$30 I'll just save it for my face. I found the mizon White sleeping pack a bit meh and not really all that special. The red wine seems to be popular.

Questi0ns · 29/10/2015 19:47

It's official. Coming back to this thread was a bad idea.. Confused

Questi0ns · 29/10/2015 19:53

And yes bizzarly they've included a pair of socks..

ForSaleChesterDraws · 29/10/2015 21:30

Wow, that is awesome timing! I ordered from Korea and on 21st October and got my package today and thought that was quick.

I think the more you spend the better the freebies are.

teawamutu · 30/10/2015 09:12

Grin I don't think I could cope with extract of horse, however divine it sounds (and it does)!

I have just ordered some of the Face Shop rice ceramide cream from eBay as a hydrating step for bedtime, and I'm also dithering between the Holika Holika red wine pack and the Mamonde Rose Honey one. Has anyone out there tried both?

ScrambledSmegs · 31/10/2015 12:38

I'm back Smile. How are you all? Sorry I went AWOL for so long. My skin went the worst it's been in a while and when I went to my new GP for something unrelated I got the guts to mention it as she is so lovely. And she agreed I've got Rosacea and prescribed me a treatment gel. My old GP refused to admit I had it and wouldn't refer me to the dermatologist at my old local hospital (who was Sam Bunting ffs!) so this is a relief. Phew! It's very drying but I put it on over my Goodal essence and oil and it's really working. Have had to dump a lot of KBeauty though as it really irritates my skin.

Big news is I can only wear mineral makeup now so no more cushions, unless I can find a truly mineral one Sad.

Hopefully once all the current flare-up has died down I can try gently eradicating the scars.

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 03/11/2015 07:55

I have read a lot of this thread and find it fascinating. Can anyone help me with any products that will help to reduce redness. It is just a general red complexion not roseacea or anything but probably more sun damage and ageing and some broken capillaries. I am fed up of always looking for the best concealer to minimise it all the time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

derektheladyhamster · 03/11/2015 13:35
