Does anyone want to do a minimal/capsule wardrobe

For autumn (sept-Nov) with me?

Been reading unfancy, project 333 and an article about Steve jobs/Obama who had/have capsule wardrobes.
I've recently thrown out loads, but still have too much.
Anyway looking for wardrobe buddies!

I've been forced into having a capsule wardrobe through circumstance (moved into a tiny let property after a flood..) but the upside is discovering how nice it is to just have a few lovely things to choose from. I'm not missing my usual wardrobe at all.

A couple of linen jumpers, one hoodie, four or five tops, 2 pairs of jeans and some Jersey dresses and cardigans for work. 1 pair of converse and some sandals.

All clothing items on wooden hangers swishing about.

Can't wait to get home and have a proper clear out. I owned far more than I could ever possibly wear.

This might be hugely over budget? If it is, let me know and I'll look what else I can find...

Yeah, sadly over budget shame as it's exactly what I'm looking for!

Saw two of my old things in the charity shop window this morning.
Still need to buy a new cardi.

I'm thinking about minimising my makeup too, anyone else doing this?

I've been trying to use up my make up and random skincare. Have a few more travel sizes then I'm there

I've way to much make up most of it probBly out of date.
I'm working my way through body lotion. I've quite a few bottles all lined up in my bathroom cupboard. Just need to pray I don't get any for Christmas!

Still haven't got a new cardi, but think I'm pretty sorted! Excited for autumn!

2 cashmere jumpers (too warm for these now though, so might sub for something else!)

2 pairs black ankle boots - one flat, one heeled
2 pairs knee boots - one black, one tan
1 pair of 'going out' heeled ankle boots

Basically all I've done here is isolate the things that I tend to fall back on all of the time, or that I'm currently loving. I've got another bag full for the charity shop but I'm keeping loads of other things - just choosing not to wear them for a while.

Doing this sorting has also made me very aware of things that it is worth me buying more of, or better versions of:
black skinnies
grey and black t-shirts
black cigarette trousers for work
cotton jumpers (much more versatile than proper winter jumpers)
black jackets
ankle boots

My make up is always minimised:
foundation compact or BB cream depending on how 'done' I want to feel
Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette
Black, grey or brown eyeliner (all currently No 7)
Rollerlash mascara
Either MUA bronzer or Benetint
MUA lipstick in either shade 11 (a dusty pink) or red
Apply more or less of the combinations above, according to what I'm doing!

Currently pregnant so very minimal wardrobe. Its amazing how little clothing you actually need to own. I have
3 tops
3 jumpers
2 cardigans
1 black linen trousers
4 Jeans (I went a wee bit OTT in the next sale!)
1 shorts

Luckily I can wear jeans to work otherwise I would substitute 2 jeans for smart trousers but still 14 items. Makes getting dressed in the morning easier when there isn't much to choose from

Shoes I have 1 converse, 1 Ugg boots, 1 pair flip flops, 1 ballet pumps and 1 ankle boots.

Make up again is kept minimal. powder foundation, concealer, blusher, bronzer, mascara, eyeliner, 1 eyeshadow pallet (urban decay naked 3), mascara, 2 lipsticks and 3 lipglosses. Would like to invest in a BB or CC cream as well though

I already do a capsule for work which makes life easy.

For Sept - Nov I could easily manage with:
work:
3 skirts
3 dresses
1 pair skinny black jeggings

few vests
2 jumpers,
5 cardigans
23 items

weekend about 15 more as well as a few of the above as I like to have more choice at weekends:
4 jeans
1 leggings
hoody
2 jumpers
1 dress
6 tops

I'm not counting jackets and boots as they're my thing and I know I have too many but like to wear what goes best.

tbh this shows that I should really avoid shops for a while as I still have probably double this amount of clothes and need nothing except some new underwear. This is a good experiment for me.

Hi All, how's the planning coming along? I had a little wobble as I'm out for dinner with dh at the w/e and started looking at websites for dresses, but closed down the laptop and walked away. I really don't need another dress!

My wardrobe is all sorted. 37 items (clothes and shoes).
I've a few gym bits on top of this, plus nightwear, undies etc.
