bigTillyMint · 30/07/2015 22:05

They look great! DD was quoted £45/50, so Groupon deal was good.

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/07/2015 22:57

ooooh, I am loving the lashes. Being sparse of lash myself, I might have a go with that. A very glam friend of mine in Paris had it done. I asked her who did it, and she replied grimly "The woman who epilates my face." Grin I felt a bit better after that.

Go blonder Herbs, but not too blonde. More of a golden blonde would be good.

bigTillyMint · 30/07/2015 22:59

Yes golden blonde would suit you Herbs.

The DC are Shock at the lack of swag here Grin

MollyAir · 30/07/2015 23:14

Just dashing in...lovely lashes, lovely hair, lovely hols. Glad dmum is perkier, MI. Strength to you, Auriga. Sorry about Brian's employment, but glad Crem's is safe. Sorry, too, about screaming diva dds.

We are mad busy, trying to prepare for hols while finishing work projects and stopping dd walking home alone at midnight or cycling home without lights...you know the kind of thing. Also she is getting antsy about results day, mid-Aug. Sigh. Anyway I expect it will all get done, or not done, and we will have to cope. I'll be offline for a bit, so do try to miss me Wink Grin but no need to assume the worst.

bigTillyMint · 31/07/2015 06:12

Happy Hols Molly!

Just arrived in a cute wooden cabin in Fox - had a lovely coffee and cake in the sun before a looooong drive through the mountains stopping at a lonesome cafe for pies. Virtually no one else on the road Shock

beachyhead · 31/07/2015 07:55

Those are fantastic lashes! Great....

motherinferior · 31/07/2015 09:05

Ahem. Yet again I have traded sleep for Ladyjogging. I have done three (3,iii) sessions of exercise this week, I feebly protest....had v pleasant evening with friend in the pub, possibly drank slightly too much beer, went to sleep late. I suppose it isn't perilously late to start work on a Friday. After I've eaten one of the pancakes Mr Inferior has v sweetly left for us allShockGrin.

And then I'll ring parents.

motherinferior · 31/07/2015 09:05

BTM that day sounds idyllic. Pies and all.Grin

herbaceous · 31/07/2015 09:21

Yes, BTM. I am full of awe and jealousy at your holiday exploits.

MI - I have done none (0, 0) session of exercise this week, apart from a quick burst of squats the other day, so you beat me.

Today I'm going to do a bit of work that's come my way this morning, then meeting DS's BFF at the Olympic Park (where there is a beach), picnic, frolicking, purchasing of Dad's birthday present in Westfield, then a barbecue at a friend's house.

Just noticed I have a library book from my placement college, due back in May, on my desk. Oh dear.

wordassociationfootball · 31/07/2015 09:38

Happy hols Molly.

I will be excavating gritty and too small wetsuits shortly for fortnight in Pembrokeshire leaving tomorrow. Boot in full working order courtesy of interim garage attention. V grateful. Lashes look lovely Montserrat.

Have just stunned myself with 8.15 Pilates and cafe trip. Would normally be wading out of bed. Think this is better.

Rosebag · 31/07/2015 10:04

Hello from unbelievably hot and humid southern French soil. Better night last night...not amazing, mind, but better. Enjoying the pool at the hotel more than any excursion I have to admit. Particularly nice evening up there with tapas buffet and disco playing very cheesy but feel good music....black eyed peas etc. We are going to the Matisse museum and the monastery now...have wimped out of using the local buses this time, in favour of a taxi... ( lightweight) .
MI hope things are calming down with DM. You are a good daughter...remember that and this cannot be judged purely upon the number of visits. You have your own brood to take care of too.

Happy hols to other Crepeys preparing for their annual exodus.

Amazing stuff tilly

Wow monty what a difference! Flutter them, girl Grin

motherinferior · 31/07/2015 10:54

WAF, I saw wetsuits in Aldi the other day...

Something going on internally chez DM. May be more effing blinding cancer. Scary oncologist now rather likes me and is updating me with info and indeed saying will put me in touch with surgeon. On the other hand this means I now feel like inept air traffic controller.

lalsy · 31/07/2015 11:16

Oh MI...

WAF, that's where we are off to too..Carew boot sale for SH wetsuits? (tho we usually end up buying them from village post office!).

Have a great time, Molly and everyone.

CointreauVersial · 31/07/2015 12:42

Sorry to hear that, MI.

Herbs - spotted this on my regular blog-browse - choosing the right shade of blonde.

Oh, I can't wait for my holiday. Just over three weeks away....work still unbelievably hectic.

Blackduck · 31/07/2015 16:35

Rose - looks lovely...

MI sorry to hear.

Aldi - ahh yes the random wetsuit delivery - where I used to live that raised an eyebrow or two (the ski kit on the other hand was snapped up - thermals and coats for the kids...)

Ds went on his first dive today and loved it - why is my child attracted to expensive sports (sailing, diving, climbing?). - really need to get him onto something cheap - Tai chi MI?

Happy hols all.....

In job news no news (yet) re restructure but seen another job so I will be focussing on that on my return.

wordassociationfootball · 31/07/2015 17:37

MI that's rubbish news Sad

Lalsy, Carew boot sale Smile Brilliant. Bet we end up walking past each other on Barafundle beach or somewhere.

Ooh BD, pastures new. Could be good.

lalsy · 31/07/2015 18:04

WAF Grin. We'll have to compare notes when we get back - sounds like we are going to the same area. Forecast is for a scorching 17C....

motherinferior · 31/07/2015 18:13

Arse Sad Angry arse arse arse. It does look like cancer.

How bloody wearing (because obvs this is All About Me).

BD Grin. Did I tell you they all go off to hippy t'ai chi camp next Weds? Leaving me gloriously alone to eat whatever I fancy?

Rosebag · 31/07/2015 18:39

Flowers and hugs MI Try to get more info. They may be able to keep it under control somehow. Xxx

Blackduck · 31/07/2015 19:47

MI bugger, just bugger :(

motherinferior · 31/07/2015 19:48

Sorry, I feel all I do is moan.

lalsy · 31/07/2015 20:32

MI, moan, rage and rant as much as you like and be kind to yourself Flowers. Bastard cancer, so sorry.

MrsSchadenfreude · 31/07/2015 20:37

Moan away, MI. That's what we're here for. What are they going to do about the cancer? My mother kicked up a huge stink at the hospital the other week when they wanted to move her from three monthly appointments to six monthly. I was surprised they agreed - she is now 82, would their time and efforts not be better spent checking someone who was younger, more regularly?

Please may I have a small "yay me!" here? (I can hear my mother saying "Don't boast" as I type that.) It has to be here as no-one in the family is interested. I had a short story critiqued and the person doing it came back and said:

"You clearly have an enormous amount of talent and I look forward to reading more of your work."

Quite made my week. Grin

pinkfrocks · 31/07/2015 20:38

Can I ask about this thread?
I'm a regular on Mn and S&B and I've seen these chains of threads over the months but not posted- because I can't see what it has to do with S&B! It seems to be a 'club' for a cliquey group.

Help- what are you and what is this thread?

MrsSchadenfreude · 31/07/2015 20:38

Yes, and exactly what Lalsy said. It is your life too, and it is not your life's mission to look after her; you have other people who need you too.
