Oh, that sounds good, daftyburd love that there's another person with a silly username on this thread. I have the Nexcare ones but haven't found they did a whole lot of good, mainly because they don't stay on particularly well. Also, small. My cystic monsters are too big even for the biggest ones. Where did you get them from?

I've had no confirmation that my Innisfree parcel has been released by customs, despite paying the charge earlier this week. Is this right? Should I just trust in the fact that it will arrive? Or should I call up the delivery company and Have Words?

lucysmam · 25/06/2015 10:19

I'd be tempted to call and make sure it's been released Scrambled. I have no idea how these things work though. I tend to spread my orders about a bit to try and avoid charges.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 10:33

I know, I do too, but the sheet mask selection was just soon tempting.

Right. I've emailed them. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon.

FrugalFashionista · 25/06/2015 10:40

Scrambled fingers crossed for that parcel, I looked super tempting so I totally understand your impatience!

You do indeed look super-tempting, Frugal Wink

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 10:57

Goodnessgraciousgouda, if you're still lurking I've been reading Sun Hye Mi's blog today. She's a UK-based k-beauty blogger with an interest in cruelty-free products. She may have some great recommendations for you.

lucysmam · 25/06/2015 10:57

Totally with you on the tempting sheet mask offer Scrambled, if postage hadn't been higher than the cost of masks, I'd have ordered too.

I discovered egg based sheet masks last night too. Lots and lots of weird and wonderful things will be going on my list to look up at the weekend while dp's out.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 10:59

I've had a response from the logistics company! It's mostly in Korean Confused but the basic gist is yes, they've received my payment and the parcel is being released today. Whoop!

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 11:08

Looky here - Fifty Shades of Snail's sheet mask spreadsheet.

lucysmam · 25/06/2015 11:08

yay!

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 11:11

Lucysmam - I won't be making that mistake again! I got free postage from Innisfree (half price originally, then I got an email telling me that the other half had been refunded) but that's been more than negated by the blasted customs charge.

Ok, I'm off out now so will stop spamming the thread. For now...

RETURNING STARFISH CREAM REVIEWS PLEASE?!!!! PRETTY PLEASE. Thank you!

FrugalFashionista · 25/06/2015 11:11

Yep I'm totally not in the target market by £100+ cosmetics - I mean, you can get a huge imgur-pic worthy haul of Korean stuff or a hundred sheet masks with £100! I'd be plagued by the feeling of being ripped of and one part of my brain would stay awake calculating the cost structure and profit margin and that would furrow my brow and make my eye bags bigger Wink

I can revert to faith-based thinking FTE but only if it involves much smaller sums of money Grin

lucysmam · 25/06/2015 11:22

Frugal, you should not have mentioned the imgur worthy snaps...dp is working overtime for my spends next week (he's going away this weekend with just over £100)...just imagine my wish list on that pay day Grin

I'm not in the market for pricey products either - I am partial to pricey handbags though(my current one was over £100) but I do use them to death. I stopped going in Boots/Superdrug years ago because we were skint - now I could spend a bit more, I don't see the point having discovered reasonably priced products that work for me.

FrugalFashionista · 25/06/2015 11:29

Starfish cream... It's not a cream, it's jell-o. It will probably be the second Korean product that I will finish (the first was a 15ml travel size of Dr Jart BB cream). Mild pleasant flora lightly sharp smell, close to Chanel 1932 jasmine-iris, you basically rub it in. Not mega hydrating but smoothens my skin texture. I find his overall pleasant to use. My skin is probably more dehydrated than structurally dry, I enjoy using it before putting on my sleeping mask. Hada Labo Gokujyun is more hydrating but this is just overall nice. Not totally unique, except in texture, you can get the same effect with other products. Would make a terrific gift as it is so pretty.

Ooh have to stop - an Innisfree parcel! Capsules are here!!!

OP posts:
FrugalFashionista · 25/06/2015 11:38

Total price of the Capsule Recipe Pack order was 12.71€, how much more fun can you get for that price?

Bija & aloe, Pomegranate, Rice x 2, Red wine, Green tea. 10 ml each.

We are going to the beach next week so the timing is perfect!

Scrambledsmegs I got mine from the Iamloveshop on eBay. There are only 24 patches but they are in different sizes. Best of all in a zip lock bag. I was worried mine would come off in bed but stayed secure all night yet peeled off easily in morning.

lucysmam · 25/06/2015 13:19

Hmmm, no joy asking on reddit about the aritaum masks either Confused Do I try them or not...

wickedfairy · 25/06/2015 13:28

My returning starfish and OST vitC have arrived, pleased about that. Will update re starfish once I have tried.

My long lost Biore sunscreen also arrived, about 6 weeks after ordering - no idea where that's been!!! My back up arrived in 10 days, and it's fabulous, so glad I have anotherSmile

FrugalFashionista · 25/06/2015 13:33

Lucysmam Aritaum sell the budget AmorePacific lines so I'd imagine their masks would resemble Etude House and Innisfree. Go for it?

I have enjoyed no-buy June but want to make a couple of Korean purchases in July, but want to keep it under contril. Not sure whether it should be a fixed number (2?), a fixed budget, or one in, one out. Hmmm...

OP posts:
lucysmam · 25/06/2015 13:35

I didn't know that Frugal, thanks. I think I will in that case to see what they're like.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 13:38

What was your question about the Aritaum masks, Lucysmam? Their hyaluronic acid mask is considered to be very good in Korea - I think it was featured on Get It Beauty (top-rated TV show) as one of the best value sheet masks around.

lucysmam · 25/06/2015 13:39

They're not sheet masks Scrambled, I'll be back with a link in a mo

ScrambledSmegs · 25/06/2015 13:39

Thanks daftyburd - I will buy the Cosrx instead of the Nexcare when I re-stock.
